Welcome,

And I hope that each one of you will come to find peace within yourself.

Today I want to talk a little bit about confidence,

About stepping out of your comfort zone.

This meditation is based off of a live session I did on this topic.

Confidence involves having realistic sense of your own capabilities and feeling secure in that knowledge.

Confidence allows you to face life's challenges with the conviction that you can succeed.

There are different aspects of confidence.

There's self-assurance,

Where you feel certain about your abilities.

Trust,

Where you're believing in yourself and others.

And certainty,

Being sure of the truth of something.

Confidence can be developed and improved over time,

And through practice and experience.

It's not an innate trait,

But something that can be nurtured.

Close your eyes now,

And let's start to get in touch with our breath.

It doesn't matter if you're sitting down,

Lying,

Or standing.

The only thing that matters when we meditate is that you are comfortable and alert.

So first,

Let's scan our body and begin to relax and settle into this moment.

Relax your face,

Unfurl your brow,

And unclench your jaw.

Relax your neck and your shoulders,

Common places of tension in today's world.

Relax your arms and your hands.

And let go of any tension in your chest and belly.

And feel yourself getting heavier with each and every breath.

Relax your legs and your feet.

And as you begin to relax,

Let's focus even more on our breath.

Our breath is like a river,

As it flows in and flows out.

Just inhale slowly,

And then gently exhale,

And notice your breath.

Notice where you feel it,

A cool sensation in your nose as the breath flows in,

Or the movement of your chest and belly as the breath flows in and flows out.

All the while,

We're just breathing in and breathing out,

One breath at a time.

Now just continue to breathe normally and listen to my voice.

In order to step out of your comfort zone,

You have to challenge yourself to try new things and to take risks.

And each small step outside of your comfort zone can boost your confidence.

Stepping out of your comfort zone can be a transformative experience,

But it involves intentionally doing something unfamiliar or challenging.

Whether it's something at work,

Something at play,

A new breathing technique,

Whatever it might be,

You're challenging yourself.

But that can lead to personal growth,

Increased confidence,

And you can expand your horizons.

When we step out of our comfort zone,

We expose ourselves to new situations,

New ideas,

And new perspectives.

And this encourages learning and adaptation.

Just like a muscle grows stronger with resistance training,

Our minds and our abilities expand when we face challenges.

In all this while,

We're breathing in and breathing out,

One breath at a time.

And I'll let you breathe for a moment and then I'll return.

Now in order to step out of our comfort zone,

We have to overcome our fear,

Because fear often holds us back from trying new things.

Stepping out of our comfort zone allows us to confront these fears head on.

And as we overcome them,

We build resilience and courage.

Our comfort zones can be limiting,

And by venturing beyond them,

We tap into our creativity and we find innovative solutions.

It's all a matter of building confidence.

Each successful step outside our comfort zone reinforces our belief in our abilities.

Gradually we become more confident in handling uncertainty and change.

And we're just following our breath,

Breathing in and breathing out,

Just one breath at a time.

I'll let you breathe again for a moment and then I'll be back.

You know,

It's possible to boost your self-confidence,

But it's a journey and it takes time.

It's like anything else in life,

It takes time and practice.

An important concept is that you have to stop comparing yourself to others.

And it's very common in the age of social media.

We tend to see the best side of people because that's what they show us.

We all need to focus on our own progress,

Our own achievements,

Rather than comparing ourselves to others.

And that will help reduce our feelings of envy and inadequacy.

You have to celebrate your wins and acknowledge when you've completed something complicated.

And at the same time,

You have to embrace your failures and just look at them as learning opportunities that will help build your confidence.

You've heard me say many times that words have power and thoughts have power.

You have to replace negative thoughts with positive affirmations and remind yourself of your strengths and your capabilities.

It helps to surround yourself with positive people.

Now,

If you feel willing to,

Let's repeat some positive affirmations.

I am confident.

I am confident.

I can do new things and succeed.

I can do new things and succeed.

Confidence is something that we can grow over a period of time,

Over the course of our life.

You have to set yourself up for success.

I have faith in all of you and I know you can do it.

Now,

As we come to a close,

Open your eyes and come back into the room and stretch and feel how good it is to be alive,

How good it is to be in this moment.

Just breathing in and breathing out one breath at a time.

I want to thank each and every one of you for joining me in this moment.

I have confidence in you and you have to have confidence in yourself that you can do hard things and that you can succeed.

I hope this has been a beneficial and calming session.

Until next time.
