So in this.
.
.
Live.
We.
As such,
We don't have any topic.
However,
We do like to go.
Deeper than some of my recorded meditations.
So any meditation is not about information that you may get.
It is all about experience that you get.
It is all about.
.
.
The live direct experience.
That you have now experienced.
Is nothing.
But awareness.
Essentially all experiences that is all our lives.
Everything that happens.
Is nothing but Consciousness,
Nothing but awareness.
However,
Because consciousness and awareness takes multiple names and shapes.
It becomes hard for us to recognize that.
So our effort in our meditation is to recognize that.
Is to see it.
Little more clearly than yesterday.
It is to live the reality more directly.
Than we did yesterday.
So in very subtle ways you will find that as you sit and meditate and allow yourself to have this experience.
The levels.
Of your awareness.
Will become more and more evident.
Will get deeper.
And higher.
In a way.
But it is all about removing.
Dead.
On a mirror that is already shining.
So it is not that we are creating new awareness in you.
That we are recognizing the awareness that is already there.
Shining in this very experience that you are having right now.
So that is the essence of our meditation.
And the beauty of our meditation is that it is not dependent on What practice have you been doing in past?
It is direct.
It is imminent.
And the reason it is direct and imminent is that the reality that we all are in middle of right now.
Is already present.
So if you are open to experience the reality as it is,
Reality is not going to change.
Check your eligibility.
Because for reality,
You already are.
It's child.
It already loves you.
In many sense,
Reality has been yearning and waiting for you.
To find itself.
So when you open your eyes,
It is there waiting.
To embrace you.
So that is the essence of our meditation.
And sometimes we go through a routine.
Sometimes we go through some procedures to calm the mind and body and breath down.
That many of you have been meditating on.
With me and without me.
For a period of time and you may not need it.
But some of us need it sometimes.
Depending on the phase of life we are going through.
I was sitting with a friend yesterday.
And we felt like taking 10 conscious breaths together.
Just do.
Balance.
Things out.
So I'd like to do that with you today.
We're just going to take 10 conscious breaths.
And by conscious,
I don't mean you need to pay extra attention.
Mild awareness of the fact that you are breathing.
Breathing One.
So you breathe inside and then when you breathe outside,
That's one breath.
One.
Breathe out.
Do.
Breathe out.
Free.
Breathe out.
On.
Breathe out.
Five.
Breathe out.
Spigs Brigard Seven.
Breathe out.
Breathe out.
Nine.
Breathe hard.
Dan.
Brigado.
You can see them already.
Your energy has shifted.
So continue to breathe in and out naturally,
Normally.
And if you're not smiling already.
I'd like you to have a gentle smile on your face.
And see the effect of this smile.
On your face.
On the muscles of your face.
See how they are softening.
Eyes,
Forehead.
Cheeks,
Lips.
All suffering.
And as you smile.
You'll see.
That your body and your mind.
Is receiving this very subtle message.
That I'm fine,
I'm happy.
And this is sufficient.
I am content.
Allow this message.
To be fully received by your body.
I am happy.
I am rare.
I am content.
And in whatever position you may be sitting,
Lying or reclining today,
Ensure that you are as restful as you can.
It says there is no.
.
.
Posture that you need to sit in.
But ensure that your body is in a parallel plane.
That your back is straight.
That your arms are parallel.
Your feet are parallel.
That whatever posture you are in,
There is complete rest.
It is the rest in your body.
It is the effortlessness in your body.
That is conducive of meditation as opposed to any posture.
If you have to choose between a posture.
And ease in your muscles and body.
Choose the ease and you will see.
The benefit of it on your meditation.
So meditation is not something that you do.
Meditation,
The real meditation.
Is something that you are.
That's why there's a beautiful word called Shikantaza.
In Zen.
Which literally means just being.
Being.
Your essential self.
In the most ordinary way.
No bells and whistles going.
No fireworks.
Just the bare reality.
Expressing itself.
As your beautiful self.
As the most precious self that there is.
As the best miracle.
That has taken place.
And that is.
.
.
Taking place every moment of time.
That is this ordinary.
Being.
The sense.
You are experiencing.
Right now.
You do not need to go anywhere.
To find it.
To realize it.
Achieve it.
If there is any instinct in you that I need to go somewhere,
Do.
.
.
X,
Y,
And Z before I get there.
Know that that is wrong.
Reality.
Is already here.
Has always been here.
And you have always been in the center of it.
Your effort to find it.
Boss.
The problem.
It is like a wave,
Your effort is like a wave in ocean.
That rises.
And calls.
Itself independent from ocean.
Things that it is separate from reality.
Things that it is separated from.
From Ocean.
But every drop of that wave is ocean.
There is nothing in that wave that is not ocean.
In the same way.
The thought that rises and tries to find reality.
Is made of reality.
Is known in reality.
And essentially,
It is.
Part of reality.
In Sanskrit.
There is a world for separate selves.
It's called Ahamkara.
Ahamkara.
Aham means self.
And Kara.
Is the announcement of self.
Ahamkara is announcement of self that is separate.
Separate from everything else that is.
And Ahamkara.
A separate self.
Is the root of all wisdom.
The suffering.
So as soon as you let go of this fictitious identity of separate selves,
As soon as the wave realizes that there is nothing in it than ocean,
Lets go of all the resistance.
And it allows itself to become one.
Or rather it realizes that it is one.
With all that there is.
This is the very experience of oneness.
The word yoga.
A yoga move.
Means to unite with,
To unite with oneness.
You jump means to merge with.
The root of the word yoga.
The essence of the yoga.
Is taking place in you right now.
As you let go.
Of your fictitious identity.
That you are a separate self.
That you are separate from reality.
In our indigenous.
Culture here in Australia.
And in other parts.
In America and Canada,
The indigenous communities.
Had words to describe.
The reality of matter.
Uniformly all of them realize new intuitively culturally.
It was a significant part of their philosophy.
That everything is connected.
That's right.
The land.
All geographical features including Animals and birds were sacrilegious.
Because nothing is not included in reality.
But then as we technologically advance.
Especially in last two to three hundred years.
We have let go of that very intuitive knowledge.
And we have solidified our fictitious identity of being a separate self.
So we're going to conduct a small experience.
Rather experiment.
And some of you may have done this before,
But do it as if you're doing it first time.
And you will see the different dimension of it will appear to you.
Sit naturally and normally.
And become aware of the fact.
With all the sounds.
That are appearing in your awareness.
Unknown felt here in these veins.
Now some of these sounds are what we conventionally say inside of mink.
That is your breath.
The vibration and sound of your breath is known here.
In this awareness.
But in the same way the sounds.
That are coming outside of you.
Like from your mobile or your laptop.
Which conventionally speaking is outside of you,
But it is only known and felt here in this awareness.
In the same way.
The sounds outside of your room.
Is also known in film.
In this awareness.
If the sound was out there.
A new here in here.
Try to find a boundary between out there and in here.
In your experience.
Go between the sounds.
That is outside of you.
And a thought that is inside of you.
Or a sensation that is inside of you.
As you go between sound outside of you and all the sensation inside of you.
Few times.
See if you come across any boundary.
That defines outside and inside.
Many philosophers and scientists.
Have proposed and have been proposing.
The consciousness or awareness is like gravitational field.
It pervades everything.
It affects everything.
But this teaching goes beyond it.
This teaching has been confirmed by all great religions across the globe.
So across the globe whenever humans have Recognize the reality.
They have come to same conclusion.
Which makes sense because reality is one,
So why would there be.
.
.
Different essential oils.
Explanation of itself.
So across the ages and geographical locations.
The experience of reality.
Is sane.
Because reality is one.
So fill this field of awareness pervading all your experiences and as you are more and more rooted in your awareness,
I'd like you to find the edge.
Of your awareness.
The boundary of your awareness.
So in your experience,
Go to the edge of your awareness,
To the extreme.
Edge of your awareness.
Imagine yourself at Mars or at the Moon.
And having an experience of being on Mars and Moon and see if that has landed you.
At the age of your awareness.
Wherever you go.
You will always be here,
Here having this awareness experience.
There is no age.
Boundary.
To the awareness that you are experiencing right now.
And same is true.
Same is true.
For more than 50 people who are here.
But that doesn't mean that there are different 50 awarenesses.
Having 50 experience of being boundaryless,
Being infinite.
Guns.
By definition,
There can only be one infinite space.
There can be only one infinite.
It is one awareness having 52 experiences.
To the awareness with which you are having an experience.
Is the same awareness with which all of us are having an experience.
And when that becomes clear,
And clear.
That is the definition of oneness.
The final state of yoga.
But it is important to do these sort of experiences.
To prune.
To yourself,
To your mind.
And perhaps.
.
.
For us.
Thousands of years what humanity has been saying across the globe.
Is correct or can be correct.
And as soon as you remain open to this possibility.
You have shifted.
From being just a separate entity.
Wave.
In ocean or separate self.
Ahamkara.
You have now shifted.
To being open to the possibility that You are the ocean.
That you are infinite awareness having a localized experience.
Essentially.
Permanently.
Complete.
Nothing is lacking.
In the experience.
Of this awareness.
You can't add anything to this.
And you can't remove anything from this reality.
The joy and the peacefulness.
Of this very reality is infinite.
Always fresh.
Always new.
Never ending.
Always the most intimate.
Always present.
Closer than your most intimate thought.
And experience.
Before that.
And as you allow my words.
.
.
To signpost.
Towards the reality.
That is listening.
And understanding these words right now.
It is becoming clearer and clearer in you.
So as it becomes clear in you become even more effortless.
Let go.
Of any sense of separateness.
Not by thinking.
Not by affording to let go of separateness.
But by surrendering to this reality.
And now?
What else there is to do?
Then Shikantaza.
Then?
Just being.
Than just smiling.
And see now as you smile how effortlessly the message message that I'm sufficient.
I'm happy.
There is no sense of lacking anything.
Is absolute.
In your body.
In your mind.
And in the space that you are in.
That is why Zen.
Masters.
Has said.
That the meditation is not something you do.
Meditation is.
Something that you are.
Shikantaza.
Just be.
Just smile.
And no.
That you are one.
One with oneness.
And there is no second,
There is no.
.
.
Which is non-dual.
Everything is a modulation.
Vibration.
Of One Reality.
And finally.
.
.
This experience.
Was codified in this.
Sanskrit Sutra.
Which was written right at the end of along with that.
Veda means scripture.
And the one that comes right at the end of Veda is called Vedanta.
Day.
Teaching that comes at the end of Veda,
Vedanta.
And that is sattva.
Chit Anand.
Which means knowing yourself.
As truth.
Ease.
Peace and happiness.
Knowing yourself as truth is peace and happiness.
And it ends there.
Because all your desires All that you want from life.
Has no aim but.
.
.
To achieve long-lasting peace and happiness.
There is only one experience that can give you that.
Which is knowing yourself.
As truth.
Sub-Chit Anand.
So for.
.
.
One more minute.
On your own.
I'd like you to bask in the light of this knowing.
On your own.
Know that you are.
Never on your own.
You are always in the middle of this.
Reality.
With everyone.
All at once.
So smile.
And Shikantaza on your own.
On your own with us all.
As one.
When you sit in the presence.
Of yourself.
The time loses its value.
Conventional time.
Is no more.
Time becomes now-ness.
The best.
Kind of time which is timeless.
It is beyond time.
And see how essentially different this experience is.
From.
The experience when you will open your eyes and.
.
.
When your mind kicks in.
And with mine,
Time kicks in.
And your journey from this reality.
Active mind body reality.
Is confusing.
And there will be a reconciliation.
Between the two realities.
That may appear two separate realities.
But in essence they are not.
As you continue.
You will see.
That there will be a reconciliation.
And those too.
Seemingly separate experiences.
Will also be seen as one.
Will be known and felt as one.
So continue.
Continue on your own.
To explore the reality that you are in the middle of.
And let that become your meditation.
Thank you so much for your.
.
.
Company for your presence.
For sharing your presence.
Each one of you make this more special for each one of us.
So I hope you come next Saturday.
To have this experience.
And by you having this experience.
Be all good.
What we need.
In a very subtle way.
You contribute.
To us having this experience of oneness.
Thank you again.
And for those in US and Canada,
May you have a beautiful sleep.
Conforming.
This oneness.
And those in Australia and New Zealand.
May your days be full.
With the realization of oneness.
Thank you so much.
