When in a serious slump in his life, Matthew Carter started his very own gratitude practice. It was simple, yet surprisingly effective. The practice? Place a glass jar on your desk; next to it is a pile of scrap paper. Every time you pass the jar, write down something that you are grateful for and place the paper in the jar. Three years later, the jar is now packed full of paper, barely able to fit any more into it. The best part is that the gratitude has stuck around and continues to show up in Matthew's everyday life. This song chronicles some of the time that followed the gratitude practice: his partner's sweet face while sitting across the dinner table from him. The cool breeze blowing in through the slightly opened sliding patio door. It's the simple things we need to remain grateful for. Are you ready to open up the Gratefulness Doors?
