Welcome before I begin the meditation,
I'd like to honor a teacher and author and a meditation guide.
Her name is Sarah Bond in and You will hear in today's Meditation.
I'll use a phrase.
I love you,
And I'm listening and I heard that first through her It's amazing that the power of our words can have a ripple effect so Exponentially that we may not even realize and words have the power to change our lives and I want to honor and thank her and give credit where it's due because I've heard that from her first and I'll be using that phrase today and I use it often it has Changed my life,
And I hope you also find it beneficial so let us begin our practice today by Simply arriving here in our bodies fully lovingly gently Begin by attuning to your breath Taking a nice inhale and attuning to the exhale gently Observing the breath not forcing it or changing it in any way Simply attuning to it wherever you're seated or if you're lying down Giving yourself a nice distraction free safe space to arrive here fully And When you are comfortable Resting the eyelids allowing the eyes to close Acknowledging the breath and as we Come to practice depending on where we are in our day in our journey In our week as We close the eyes as we attune to the breath.
Sometimes the mind will Begin to Go into a little bit of a panic or anxious state or remind you of all the things that need to be done and Honoring this is very human and depending on where we are again in our day in our experience Allowing it noticing it not judging it and With that gentle recognition that We'll get back to it later The mind has a wonderful way of always protecting us And so we don't want to shut it down or judge it or criticize.
We just want to thank it give it the comfort in the knowing that we'll get to it later and Lovingly come back to your breath Observing where the oxygen goes as it comes in through the nostrils And gently lands in the body the rise of the chest the surrender on the exhale Noticing the space around you and sinking further into Relaxation into stillness Observing the breath Observing the body Doing a gentle scan to see if anything is holding any extra tension any spaces Feeling tight or concerned and honoring that Breathing into those spaces Sending an extra Dose of love Care compassion giving yourself permission giving that space permission to gently relax Release rest Sometimes it may be helpful to purposefully squeeze it or clench It's in the jaw It's in the shoulders Feeling the tension and releasing it allowing it to dissipate to rest And I invite you now to come into your heart space the center of your chest Gently placing the palm of one of your hands on that space Feeling the warmth of the palm of your hand on the chest Noticing the gentle rise and surrender of the space As you allow the natural rhythm of your breath connecting with self observing What's happening in this space for you today?
And if this part of your body could speak What might it say?
We often move through the day the week the experience of life so quickly and with purpose without judging or criticizing just honoring that these moments of stillness with self Are equally as valuable equally as necessary Still allowing your heart to speak What might it say?
Responding gently.
I love you And I'm listening.
I Love you And I'm listening.
I love you and I'm listening Allowing Whatever surfaces to rise honoring allowing giving yourself permission to hear to feel to know What may be true for you?
What is it that you need to hear?
From this space Breathing into that space a little bit more Acknowledging the connection with self Recognizing That you're doing your best We're all doing our best With the knowledge and the resources and the awareness and the consciousness that we have in every moment And so with the gentle compassion consideration for the process For the experience for the journey Acknowledging the messages and allowing them to Float away as well to already in process Simply by listening.
I love you.
I'm listening be well
