Welcome to today's practice to honor your energy with a self-care sanctuary.

Your self-care sanctuary isn't so much a physical place but a state of mind,

A feeling of safety where your energy thrives.

This practice is here to help you set boundaries with yourself to declutter the mental noise and anchor into calm honoring what truly serves you.

If you haven't yet,

Find a quiet spot,

Sit or lay down,

Letting your shoulders ease.

Take a slow,

Deep breath in through your nose,

Filling with calm,

And exhale through your mouth,

Letting go of any rush.

Your sanctuary is in the rhythm of your breath,

Steady like your heartbeat.

Placing one hand on your heart,

I invite you to use the cadence of your heartbeat as your guide,

Your inner metronome,

Or pacing tool to help you keep count.

So at the count of your heartbeat,

Breathe in for four,

Then hold for the count of four.

Exhale for four,

And hold for four.

Now repeat this breathing pattern for as long as it serves you.

Feel this rhythm create a safe space,

A boundary where only calm resides.

Each breath sweeps away mental clutter,

Worries,

To-dos,

Or doubts,

Like leaves being brushed from a path.

No need to hold on to them.

Let them drift with each exhale,

Leaving your mind clear and open.

In this sanctuary,

You choose what fuels your energy.

Picture one thought or demand that feels heavy right now.

On your next exhale,

Release it,

Letting it fall away.

Claim this space for what lifts you.

Beautiful job.

Now place your other hand on your belly and ask,

What might I release to create more self-care and a sanctuary around me today?

Maybe it's a worry or task or a should.

Trust your answer.

Know that this inner sanctuary is here for you whenever you need to return.

Feeling into your calm strength,

Take a big breath in,

Holding in all those good feelings,

And a big release out,

Releasing even further.

Now wiggle your fingers and toes,

Grounding in this moment.

Slowly flutter your eyes open and carry this clear,

Calming energy into your day.

Your self-care sanctuary is always here for you.

You got this.

This little meditation has several tools to use for focusing on self care. Surprisingly effective for its length. I bookmarked it to use again. Many thanks.
