Snippets of Wisdom number 81.
The best that could happen.
We are really good at declaring the worst that could happen.
We are experts at thinking of all the worst-case scenarios.
We worry about what could go wrong.
When will we start asking ourselves,
What is the best that could happen?
When will we shift our thoughts with deliberate intent?
Obviously,
Worrying about everything that could go wrong or hoping for the best but planning for the worst is not working for us.
All we get is more to worry about.
So let's just ask ourselves every day,
What is the best that could happen?
I'll start.
I could live in peace and harmony with my soul.
I could know that I'm love and joy embodied.
I could relax and chill to allow more ease and flow.
I could allow my inner being to speak to me during my moments of silence.
I could make great decisions that would be for my highest good.
I could thoroughly enjoy my work.
I could offer unconditional love to myself and others.
I could live happily ever after.
I could travel at my leisure.
I could enjoy working with others.
I could make everyone else's opinion irrelevant to my happiness.
I could let people be who they are and allow myself the same grace.
I could look for more things to appreciate and praise.
I could make feeling good my number one priority.
Did any of my ideas of the best resonate with you?
What would you add to this list?
What's the best that could happen in your life?
Here's an idea.
Write this question on sticky notes and put them up on the bathroom mirror or on your computer screen or anywhere you'll readily see them all day.
Every time you see them,
Take a breath and speak one or two or more statements of the best things that could happen if you knew that all was well and that everything was working out for you.
Make this a game and watch the magic happen as soon as these thoughts become dominant in your mind.
Any little shift is good progress.
Pat yourself on the back for committing to looking for only the best that could happen.
Big hugs,
Marianne.
