Welcome,

This is your host Mary Ann Pack,

Spiritual medium,

Author,

And joy advocate.

This reading is entitled,

Hold Everything Lightly.

Hold Everything Lightly.

This phrase kept running on repeat in my mind as I woke up early one morning.

Once I realized that I needed to pay attention to it,

I quickly wrote down the phrase to sit with its meaning later.

I wanted to understand what I felt about this and also ask the many my spirit guides for their perspective and guidance as to what this means from my non-physical perspective.

Hold Everything Lightly.

When I initially considered what it meant for me to hold everything lightly,

My first thought or impulse was to raise my hands in front of me with open palms facing upward as a response to releasing my tight hold on what I wanted or needed.

With our current financial condition,

It's been feeling very difficult.

I've been holding such feelings of lack of abundance in my worrying.

It certainly can't come in.

The thing is,

I know this stuff,

I teach this stuff,

But I still need to remember because I'm a very forgetful person.

So I want to hold what I want and need with a lighter feeling,

A lighter touch,

And even a lighter heart.

Then the need doesn't feel so daunting and get in my vibrational way.

When my palm is open,

I can't grasp anything because my fingers are laid out in a resting position.

There is no tension in a gentle open hand.

I also don't control what lands in my palm or leaves my palm.

I have to trust that unknown,

But it's not all unknown.

My source most certainly knows it intimately.

Trusting that source is my source,

Not trying to hold on to every detail and trying to make what I want to happen.

When I try hard and worry about the how,

When,

Where,

And who,

I make myself crazy because I don't have those answers.

They are the business of my source.

My only business is my what and my why.

What I want and why I want it,

And we only want stuff because we believe we'll feel badder when we have it.

When I focus on the what and especially on the feeling of the why,

I feel the ease and flow.

Ah,

Ease and flow,

Baby.

I can't experience ease and flow if my hands and heart are tightly closed or holding on for dear life.

If I'm holding tightly,

I'm increasing the tension,

Stress,

And resistance I don't want.

Hug.

I'm doing that thing again that I don't want to do.

When my palms are open,

They can flow easily in and out.

I'm open to receiving new ideas and impulses to act and meet up with rendezvous of glorious cooperative components lining up to help me and make life fun.

Ah,

There it is.

I want to release my tight hold,

Stop arguing for my financial limitations,

And stop telling the same old stories of justification for why I'm in this place I do not want to be.

I've noticed that I also tend to place much of the blame on others based on how I felt about what they did and didn't do,

But that's not what I really want.

I want to make everyone else completely irrelevant to my vibrational alignment because they are.

I'm the only one in charge of my vibration,

No one else.

What others do or don't do has nothing to do with our alignment.

We are responsible for our own alignment with who we are.

That's why it's referred to as our inner being,

Not our other being.

I find I'm holding myself lightly.

I'm not holding myself lightly either.

I do not love myself as my inner being unconditionally loves me.

I always seem to put conditions on myself before I give myself love.

My poor body can't keep up with my derogatory self-talk and sometimes lets me know she's had enough by offering up her pain or other symptoms.

She gets my attention by doing so.

Until you fall in love with you,

You cannot be in a state of allowing.

You're only eking out a very small percentage of what is potentially there for you.

This is a quote from Abraham Hicks.

I want to love lightly and share it openly and freely with me first.

It's a sure thing that everything is coming.

I just need to lighten my grip.

To keep it lighter,

I want to say to my inner source,

Bring me evidence of how all this works in comfortable,

Humorous,

Delicious ways.

Another quote from Abraham Hicks.

As I continue thinking about this subject,

I ask myself,

What are the aspects of holding everything lightly?

What can I do and not do when I have a light hold?

So I started making a list.

Here are my aspects of holding everything lightly.

The only way you can hold anything with an open palm is to turn it upward.

In this position of an open,

Upturned palm,

You can't push against anything,

Pull against anything toward you,

Put your hand up to stop anyone,

Fight anyone or punch someone,

Karate chop someone,

Slap another person,

Grasp anything to keep it in your hand.

There are only two modes in this position,

Receiving mode to self and offering mode to others.

You have to be calm and relaxed and unclench your fist and open your palm.

It takes a lot of trust in self,

Source,

Others,

And the process of life for you to live comfortably with a light,

Open-handed touch.

When you put your two hands together,

You can hold much more.

You can't control what comes in or what goes out because you're not grasping.

You can only hold so much at a time.

Some must be released or offered before more can come in.

Your upturned palm will allow what's coming in to overflow into whatever receptacle you've provided below,

Banking and investment accounts,

Charities,

Non-profits that you created as you prepared your environment to receive.

Envisioning the image of holding my open,

Upturned palm resonates with how I truly want to feel.

It feels easy.

It feels gentle.

Having this vision in my mind makes me feel relaxed despite the uncertainty.

As I'm trusting source to be my source and guide me to inspired action as I quiet my mind,

I'm offering up my hands to receive what is already done.

I believe everything I want has been answered and tended to by source who is coordinating everything for my highest good.

This is what the many offered on the subject.

Holding everything lightly is how you intended to live.

When you came into this life experience,

You knew there was no threat or danger or problem that would be solved with a tight fist.

A tight fist is used in fighting.

You knew there was nothing to fight against.

Your connection with source was open and loving.

It's only when you live in opposition to your inner being and its guidance you get fearful and think you must protect yourself.

There is no need for protection with a connection to your source because there is no risk of danger.

Those who use a tight grip are not connected to their source.

They feel out of control so they use a fist to wield power over others.

They want to force compliance.

On the other hand,

Pun intended,

Source is a lover of variety and differences.

There is no need for control or forced compliance.

A closed fist is grasping to hold on to things they fear someone will take from them.

When the hand is holding on to something so tightly,

There is no space available to receive more.

Open your hand and heart to all that you want.

We are all intimately involved with putting exactly what you want into your palm.

I feel much better after this time of reflection.

How about you?

Can you picture yourself with upturned,

Open palms holding everything lightly?

What does this feel like to you?

You may want to journal about this too.

Thank You for the reminder of the things I know and yet so often forget. I need to go with the flow of the universe not against it. I need to let the Butterfly settle on my palm and not try to grasp it and so destroy it. The open palm.. let things come and go and let me give freely. Thank You
