Find a comfortable position,

Either sitting or lying down,

And allow your body to settle into this moment.

Gently close your eyes and begin to turn your attention inward.

Place one or both hands over your heart,

Feeling the warmth of your touch.

This simple act invites your awareness to your heart center,

Your inner space of love,

Wisdom,

And peace.

Now begin to slow your breath,

Allowing it to flow naturally,

Soft,

Steady,

And unforced.

With each exhale,

Gently extend your breath a little longer than your inhale.

As you breathe in,

Feel your chest rise and your heart begin to open.

With each exhale,

Feel your body soften,

Releasing tension and inviting a deep sense of calm.

By extending your exhale,

You activate your parasympathetic response.

The body's natural relaxation state.

This allows stress hormones to release,

Creating space for peace to settle in.

Feel the quieting of your mind,

The relaxing of your muscles,

And the steady slowing of your heart rate as your body shifts into a state of ease.

Now,

Bring to mind a time when you felt truly happy and filled with love,

A moment of warmth,

Joy,

Or a deep connection.

Allow this memory to rise naturally with ease as you picture it clearly in your mind's eye.

Notice the colors,

The details,

And the feelings that arise within you.

As you breathe in,

Invite the love and joy of this moment to fill your heart.

And as you breathe out,

Allow this beautiful feeling to expand,

Gently radiating outward from your heart.

Let it flow through your chest,

Your arms,

Your entire body.

Feel the warmth of this love washing over you,

Soothing every part of you.

Softening and releasing any lingering tension,

Filling you with peace.

With each inhale,

Gather more of this warmth and love into your heart.

And with each exhale,

Let this energy flow like a golden wave,

Expanding through your belly,

Your back,

Down your legs,

And all the way to your fingertips and toes.

With each slow and gentle breath,

Allow this heart energy to extend beyond your body into the space around you.

Imagine it forming a soft,

Radiant glow,

A cocoon of light that surrounds you.

This is your energy field,

Infused with the harmony and love of your own heart.

Feel this energy,

Protective and nurturing,

Lifting and supporting you.

Breathe in,

Drawing in even more love.

Breathe out,

Expanding your light into the world.

Rest here for a few moments,

Simply breathing and feeling the beautiful connection between your heart,

Your body,

And the space around you.

Now,

Gently bring your awareness back to your heart center.

Feel your energy settle here,

Like returning home to the warmth of your own being.

Now,

Continue to breathe softly and steadily from the heart,

Knowing that this connection,

This calm,

Is always within you.

When you feel ready,

Begin to bring gentle movement back into your body.

Wiggle your fingers,

Your toes,

Take a deep,

Nourishing breath in,

And exhale completely.

When it feels right,

Slowly open your eyes.

This meditation brought me back to a day that I felt such strong love, happiness & pride for my son. He always struggled with self confidence, but the day that he graduated with his GED he was so proud of his accomplishment that you could feel it radiating from him. He has been gone for 8 years now so it meant so much to me to have that moment in time brought back to my heart & mind.
