Welcome to this meditation for a quick dose of motivation to start the day.
Sitting in a comfortable position,
Eyes closed,
Simply follow my voice and allow your body and mind to relax.
It's a new day,
A beautiful day,
A day of possibilities,
A day that is the first of its kind.
This day is a new slate,
Which you can fill with all that your heart desires.
And taking a moment now to set an intention for this day,
Make a plan of how you would like the state to be,
Of the qualities in you that you would like to bring out today.
Really letting that intention sink in and feeling it come alive as you start to focus on your breath.
Taking a long,
Deep breath in through the nose,
Filling the lungs with fresh energy,
Adding a long,
Slow breath out through the mouth,
Releasing any stale stagnant energy,
Any disappointments of yesterday,
Breathing deeply and fully each time.
With the in breath,
Feeling invigorated and with the out breath,
Letting go.
And now bringing to mind your accomplishments,
Something you have achieved,
Something you've done in the past that makes you feel proud.
It could be anything.
Something you achieved at work,
Someone you helped,
A time when you were loving and compassionate,
Reliving that emotion.
How that made you feel about yourself.
How capable it made you feel.
Shine a light on all your different abilities.
Shine a light on all your inner resources and feel that energy of creation inside of you.
And now thinking about this day,
Thinking about all the different and amazing possibilities in this day,
Allow yourself to be filled with the energy,
With the compassion that you need for this day,
Knowing that no matter what challenges might come up in this day,
You have all the resources within you that you need.
You have all the skills within you that you need.
Feel yourself becoming more and more empowered.
Let each breath fill you with courage.
And as you breathe in,
Saying to yourself,
May I have the courage to live this day to my best.
And as you breathe out,
Saying to yourself,
I release all self-limiting beliefs I have about myself,
Integrating this mantra and the cycle of your breath,
Breathing in,
Feeling courage,
And breathing out,
Releasing limitations.
Breathing in,
Feeling courage,
And breathing out,
Releasing limitations.
And taking a moment now to think about this word courage,
Seeing this word with your mind's eye,
Seeing everything courage can enable you to do,
And really determined to live this day with courage,
Whatever this day might bring,
Dealing it,
Dealing with it with courage,
Letting the energy of courage flow inside you,
Sitting with this feeling,
This energy,
Really being present with it.
And now bring to mind the word compassion,
Seeing this word with your mind's eye,
Seeing everything compassion can enable you to do,
And really determining to live this day with compassion,
Whatever this day might bring,
Dealing with it with compassion,
And having compassion even for yourself,
Letting the energy of compassion inside you,
Sitting with this feeling,
This energy,
Being present with it.
And now bringing to mind the word wisdom,
Seeing this word with your mind's eye,
Seeing everything wisdom can enable you to do,
Really determining to live this day with wisdom,
Whatever this day might bring,
Dealing with it with wisdom,
Letting the energy of wisdom flow inside you,
Sitting with this feeling,
With this energy,
Being present with these three qualities of courage,
Compassion,
And wisdom,
Feeling ready for this new day,
Feeling ready to let the day unfold in the most beautiful way.
And saying these words silently to yourself as a reminder of everything that you are.
I am capable.
I am strong.
I am calm.
I am resilient.
Today I choose courage.
Today I choose compassion.
Today I choose wisdom.
Today I choose kindness.
Today I will follow my path.
Today I will preserve.
Today is a new day.
Deep breath in and deep breath out.
Taking a moment now to feel gratitude for your body,
Mind,
Spirit,
Joining the palms of your hands and placing them at your heart center,
Inviting joy and peace in your heart.
And when you are ready,
Open your eyes.
Spend these few moments in the morning thinking about the plan for the day.
