You might be sitting or lying down or simply settling into a position that feels supportive enough for this moment.
If it feels okay,
Gently let your eyes close.
Take a slow breath in through the nose and exhale gently.
Again,
Breathing in and letting it go.
One more time,
A full,
Steady inhale and a soft exhale,
Letting your body begin to soften.
Let the surface beneath you hold some of your weight.
Let the shoulders drop a little.
Let the jaw loosen.
Let yourself arrive where you already are.
There is nowhere else you need to be right now.
Nothing to prove,
Nothing to force.
Only this moment,
Only this breath.
Now,
Imagine roots extending from the soles of your feet or from the base of your spine,
Extending deep into the earth below you.
Feel those roots reaching down into something ancient,
Steady,
And quietly nourishing.
The earth knows how to hold,
It knows how to receive what is tired,
What is tender,
What is overwhelmed,
And what is ready to be restored.
Let yourself be supported there.
Let yourself be anchored.
Let yourself be held.
If it feels supportive,
Bring your hands gently to your heart and notice the warmth of your hands.
Notice the rhythm beneath them.
Notice that your body and all its complexity is still here,
Still breathing,
Still communicating,
Still trying.
And for a moment,
Simply be yourself.
Not improving,
Not analyzing,
Just here.
Now imagine above your head a warm golden light,
A radiant gentle light,
Full of healing energy,
Full of quiet intelligence,
And full of care.
This is Reiki energy.
And as you breathe in,
Imagine this golden light pouring softly into the top of your head,
Feeling it move into the mind,
Into the face,
Through the jaw,
Into the throat,
And down through the shoulders.
Let it pass slowly through you without hurry.
Let it soften any tension it comes across,
Any strain,
Any holding,
Any places that have been carrying more than they were meant to carry alone.
Feel this healing light continuing into the chest,
The arms,
The hands,
The stomach,
And then lower into the hips,
The feet,
Until the whole body is bathed in this warm golden light,
As if you are being filled from the inside with something steady,
Loving,
And alive.
If there is any area of the body that feels especially in need of care,
Bring your awareness there now.
You do not have to name it perfectly,
And you do not have to understand it completely.
Just let the light gather there.
Let it meet that place gently.
Let it surround it.
Let it soften whatever it can.
If you are attuned to Reiki,
You could imagine this energy flowing through your hands into that place,
And if not,
That is okay.
Your presence is enough,
And your attention is enough.
This healing energy does not need to be controlled.
It knows how to move.
It knows where to go.
It knows how to meet what is ready to be met,
And softly,
Either in your mind or in a soft whisper to yourself,
You might say,
I am open to healing.
I allow this energy to support my body,
My heart,
And my spirit.
Take a slow breath in,

Again,
Breathing in,
And breathing out.
As this golden light continues to flow,
Imagine it bringing balance to your whole system,
Bringing calm where there has been agitation,
Softness where there has been holding,
Light where there has been heaviness.
You might imagine this light moving through every energy center,
Every layer of the self,
Bringing harmony in ways you do not have to force or fully understand.
Trust that something within you knows how to receive.
Trust that restoration does not always arrive dramatically.
Sometimes it comes as warmth,
As breath,
As a softening.
As the body realizes it does not have to brace so hard,
Allow yourself to fully soften into the support beneath you.
You might say to yourself,
I allow balance,
Peace,
And wellness to move through me.
Let these words settle where they need to settle.
Let the Reiki energy continue its work quietly.
You only have to remain here as a present as you can be,
And allow yourself to be met.
You do not have to perform healing,
And you do not have to earn it.
Take a few moments now in stillness,
Breathing,
Receiving,
Softening.
And as this meditation begins to come towards a close,
Imagine this golden light becoming a little quieter now,
Not leaving you,
But settling,
Gathering gently at the heart,
At the center of you.
A warm glow remains,
Something steady,
Something you can return to,
Or something still available after this moment ends.
Bring your hands again to your heart if they are not there already,
And take a moment for gratitude,
For the Reiki energy,
For your body,
For this pause,
For this simple willingness to meet yourself with care.
And when you are ready,
Begin to bring your awareness back to your physical body.
Wiggle your toes,
Wiggle the fingers,
Taking your time.
And if it feels good,
Stretch gently.
And slowly,
When you are ready,
Open your eyes,
And take one final deep breath in,
And let go.
And remind yourself,
I am supported,
I am connected,
And healing is still moving through me.
