I am so grateful you are here.
Today's practice is a very special practice.
The second chakra which we're going to be working on today is one of my absolute favorite.
Favorite areas of the body to focus on it's where we birth everything and anything ideas birthing relationships and i have something to read to you but first allow me to take you through what you can expect in this practice.
With the second chakra,
We are going to be manifesting.
In today's practice we're going to open up with a very strong and powerful intention if you have an essential oil near you please use it especially if it's one that calls to you for either reducing stress balancing the emotions.
And or creating.
Manifesting.
In addition,
If you have near you a blanket,
If you don't,
Please go grab one.
And also you may want a couple pillows because there's a few poses where you may feel more comfortable and supported by grabbing on a few pillows and a few of these items to make your body more stable,
Comfortable,
And the more comfortable it is,
It's going to release,
Relax,
And let go.
So the practice,
What you can expect today,
We're going to open with a powerful intention,
With a meditation.
Then we're going to do special postures for the second chakra,
To open the second chakra,
To balance the second chakra,
And also then to prepare it to receive.
Setting out your intention for your manifestation.
We will close the practice with a very special,
One of my absolute favorite mantras and mantra movement meditations to create the manifestation.
I have to tell you,
This is the mantra that I practiced faithfully for 40 days.
I have chills.
And it created the path that I am on right now.
So know that it is powerful.
First,
As you probably already are in a comfortable seated position,
We will start in an upright position,
But I want to read something to you.
I love the chakras.
And I'm still always learning about anything and everything.
So what I want to share with you,
If the chakras are something you already know,

We're just going to add to it.
And if it's something that maybe you're learning,
Allow me to share with you the color of the.

Sacral chakra,
The second chakra,
Is orange.
The element is water.
The planets that actually affect the second chakra are Mercury,
Jupiter,
And the moon.
The psychological connection.
Or response.
That we have is the connection and movement.
So the second chakra is our connection.
You often hear,
For those of you that have practiced with me for a long time,
You often hear me say the second chakra is a connection to people,
Places,
And things.
One of the challenges that we have,
The emotional challenges we have in the second chakra is guilt.
The The connection to the identity of the second chakra is emotion.
Is it a place where we do stuff down emotions or we birth emotions?
Obviously the gland that is connected to the second chakra are the reproductive organs.
So a couple affirmations that may resonate with you today if you choose to have an affirmation in your practice.
I embrace.
Pleasure,
And abundance.
I honor my body.
I am connected to my emotions.
I radiate.
Positive energy.
I am a creative being.
Signs that the second chakra are out of balance,
Lower back pain.
Bladder challenges,
Abdominal pain,
Lack of energy,
Low creativity.
And repressed.
Emotions.
So what we're going to do today,
We're going to work on that second chakra so that we then can create the balance that will enhance the desire to create.
Improve our creativity Happiness and joy.
Increase movement.
Better relationships,
Body competent,
And feelings of connectedness.
So that,

Invite you to apply it wherever your body intuition calls for an example is I'm using sandalwood for the purpose of connectiveness.

So I can tap into my seat of intuition.
I accidentally put two drops on my hand.

I'm going to place it on my second chakra as well.
And just rub it in.
So put your oil wherever it feels comfortable for you.
And then rub your hands together.
Cup your hands over your nose and your mouth and take a deep inhale.
Exhale out of the mouth.
Deep inhale again.
Exhale out of the mouth.
Deep inhale again.
Exhale out of the mouth place your hand on your left hand,
On your second chakra,
Which is right between the belly button and the pubic bone.
Place your right hand on your heart.
Close your eyes.
Set your intention.
For today's practice.
Take that intention.
Put it into words.
And as you put it into words,
Say the words to yourself silently.
Whatever is comfortable for you,
You may want to roll your eyes up and in.

But now move your left hand on top of your heart and your right hand on top of your left.
Keep the eyes closed.

Means going from darkness to light.
Staying in your seated position,
We're going to do a breath of fire to remove any residue that's in the body,
Any stickiness to get it out and to get the ego out of the way.
So the way that we practice this.
We take our hands.

Thumbs are pointed up,
Fingertips are pressed into the pads of the palms and the arms go at 60 degrees.
We close our eyes,
We roll them up and in at the third eye.
And we do Breath of Fire.
Breath of Fire looks like this.
It's a short inhale and exhale of the belly.
If you are on the first three days of your menstrual cycle,
Your moon cycle.
Long deep breathing.
If you are pregnant,
Long deep breathing.
So together.
Bring the hands up.
Take a deep inhale.
Exhale.
On this inhale,
Roll the eyes up and in and prepare.
Take a deep inhale.
Raise your hands above you.
Open the fingers,
Let the tips of the.

Thumbs touch and then gently exhale,
Releasing the breath.
And sweeping the arms gently down,
Fingertips touching the ground.
And pausing there a moment.
Feeling that new energy you just created.
Knowing that you loved it because we get to do it again.
So inhale the arms high up to the heavens.
60 degrees fingertips are pressed in on top of the pads of the palms.
Thumbs are pointed up.
Take a deep inhale.
Exhale.
Inhale to begin with the eyes rolled up and in on focus on the third eye.
Take a deep inhale.
Raise the arms overhead,
Thumbs are touching,
Fingertips are lifting high up to the heavens.
Take a deep inhale.
Hold the breath.
Into the eye.
Exhale and release.
Let it go.
Bringing the fingertips gently down to the ground.
To the eye.
Resting there a moment.
Excuse me.
I have something clearing.
Feeling all the sensations.
Me you And when you're ready,
Coming over into tabletop,
We'll do some cat-cows.
Moving with your cat cow.
With the inhale,
Maybe tucking the toes under or not.
Taking the gaze high up to the heavens.
Exhaling,
Releasing the toes into the ground.
And tucking the chin into the chest.
Move with your breath.
Closing the eyes if you wish.
And if the eyes are closed,
Rolling them up and in at the third eye,
If you wish.
Make this a moving meditation.
Creating the energy flow from the root chakra.
All the way up the spine and out the crown of the head.
Until the eyes go.
Bringing the body to neutral,
The spine to neutral.
Curl the toes under and gently Push back and up into Downward Dog.
If your body is calling you to do child's pose instead,
Honor your body.
One of the many gifts of yoga.
Is tapping into the body spirit mind connection.
So honor your body.
This is your practice.
I'm just here as a vessel,
As a channel to guide you.
To give you the place and the space.
But by honoring what suits your body-spirit-mind connection,
You will go deeper into the practice.

Let's take a deep inhale,
Exhaling out of the mouth.
Do that two more times at your own pace.
And when you're ready,
Coming down onto the knees.
And very gently moving.
Into.

And once you're on your sit bones,
Extend the legs out into a V.
And as you extend them out into a V.
The knees can be slightly bent,

What we're going to be doing here is we're going to be inhaling yogi's choice arms high up to the heavens or just walking the hands out in front of you.
Allow the feed to be flexed to begin.
So together,
Let's take a deep inhale.
Exhale,
Folding from the hips.
And once you come to that place of resistance,
Pause there a moment.
Release the feet.
Wiggle them.
And then take a deep inhale.
And exhale,
Folding forward,
Allowing the head,
The neck,
And the shoulders to completely release forward.
Go deep within.

On the next inhale,
Tuck the chin into the chest.
Bringing the head,
The neck,
And the shoulders in alignment with the spine.
Bring the legs,
Bend the knees.
And bring them together.
Shake them out.

Maybe a little massage up and down,
Maybe a soft fist and just gently tap the legs.
Yogi's choice.
Whatever feels right for you.
Maybe you want to hug your knees into your chest.
Follow your body intuition.
You And when you're ready,
Come back into tabletop.
From here,
Take your right knee.
Bring it behind your right wrist.
We're coming into pigeon pose.
And in your pigeon pose.
First and foremost,
We want the hips in alignment.

Check that the left leg is in alignment with the left hip.
If you're slightly off the ground like I am,

To support underneath your right sit bone,

Inhaling here Maybe this is where you're going to stay.
On the exhale if it's comfortable to come forward.
Maybe on the elbows?
Maybe doing it in stages.
Maybe it's comfortable for you to come straight down.

On the tops of your hands maybe it's comfortable for you to rest your forehead on the ground Listening to your body intuition.
And as you listen to your body intuition.

Focusing on that beautiful intention you set at the beginning of practice.

And taking the left foot on the outside of the right knee.
Straight back,
Take a deep inhale.

And you may take it either on the outside of the left knee or hook it around and gently twist.
On your next inhale.
Come the opposite way,
A counter twist.
On your next inhale,
Come forward and release.
Coming back over into tabletop.
Your tabletop,
Take your left knee behind your left wrist.
Check that your right leg is in alignment with the right hip.
Starting here,
Deep inhale.
On the exhale,
Gently coming forward.
Moving with grace.
Moving with love.
And gentleness.
The way we practice on the mat.
Can be reflected in our everyday life.
So the way you approach.

This is where you may want to grab a blanket or a couple pillows to support your legs.
Coming into a reclined butterfly.
Allowing the knees to open.
And allowing the energy of the second chakra to relax.
Release deeply into this pose.
Resting your hands,
Perhaps on the second chakra,
Or maybe you want your arms out at your side,
Listening to your body intuition.
Relax and go deep within.

You Knowing that you are preparing.
For Shavasana.
So when you're ready,
Allowing yourself.
To truly,
Completely release down into the ground.
Settling down into stillness.
And truly letting go.
Coming back to your space.
By the sound of my voice.
Becoming aware of your body by wiggling your fingers and your toes.
Inhaling your arms high above the head.
And the feet and the toes in the opposite direction,
Giving yourself a big body stretch.
Maybe exhaling out of the mouth.
On the next inhale,
Hug the knees into the chest.
And take any micro movement that feels comfortable for you.
And when you're ready,
Rolling up and down on the spine.
Get this energy flowing.
Up and down the spine,
Touching all the nerves.
This will calm you.
This will release anxiety.
And it will set your nervous system.
To be sturdy.
And strong.
And then when you're ready,
Coming up to an upright position,
Preparing for our meditation.
So in our meditation,
We have a movement with a mantra.
And this movement is simple.
You'll notice that it's going to match the mantra.
And I'll show you what the movement is first.
The hands are.

Fingers together,
Thumbs are pressed into the side of the fingers.
And the arms are at like about 60 degrees in front of you.
And with the mantra,
What we're going to do is move the hands closer towards each other and then bring them back.
Bring them in and out.
You'll notice as you hear the sound and the mantra that the body will naturally want to tense.
It's almost like a pulling up of the root chakra when the hands come down.
And then it's a release as they go up.
That is to know.
Maybe you experience it.
Maybe you just have the intention to.
The most important thing is focusing on the mantra,
Which is going to create manifestation.
It is going to draw in anything that you set as a deep heartfelt intention.
Focusing on your intention.
And as you focus on the intention,
The eyes are rolled up and in at the third eye.
The mantra is Ekankar Satgurupasad Satgurupasad Ekankar.
