This simple but powerful practice is going to help to open and balance the heart chakra.
It's a quick practice.
You can enjoy this beginning of your day or any time that you feel the desire to open the heart and balance the energy and the emotions of your heart.
So close your eyes.
Tap into the connection between your mind,
Your body,
And your spirit.
Take a deep inhale.
Exhale out of the mouth.
Do that two more times at your own pace.
On the next inhale,
Bring the hands in prayer pose in front of the heart.
Press your thumbs into your heart center.
Bow your head to your heart,
Setting an intention for your practice today.
On the next inhale,
Lift that intention high up to the heavens and release it.
As you release it,
Bring your arms to shoulder height.
Palms are facing forward.
This is our first practice.
We're going to inhale,
Bringing the arms together.
Exhale apart.
Move with your breath.
Move with concentration.
Make this a moving meditation.
Go deep within.
Close your eyes.
On the next inhale,
Relax the arms,
Palms facing up on the knees or the thighs and just be for a moment.
The next part,
We make fists but we tuck our thumbs in.
Lean back slightly and your fists are at shoulder height and we're going to inhale the right arm up.
Exhale the right arm down,
Left arm up.
Make this a moving meditation.
You can go quickly or you can go slowly.
Allow yourself to tap deep within,
Connecting to the energy of the heart.
Allow the mind to be comfortable and open.
Allow the spirit to soar and go deep within.
On the next inhale,
Bring the hands down,
Rest,
Palms facing up and just be for a moment.
The next exercise,
We take the hands into fists again.
This time the thumbs are on the outside and we inhale the arms.
We start with the arms and fists at shoulder height and we're going to inhale the arms down,
Around and up,
Making these big circles.
Make this a moving meditation.
Go deep within.
Close your eyes or set your gaze on something that is stable as you create this energy around your heart,
This magnetic energy.
Go deep within.
Have the experience.
Gently release.
Rest the palms facing up on top of the knees or the thighs and just be.
The next posture,
The arms are out,
Extended at shoulder height,
Palms are facing up.
We're going to inhale the hands up,
Exhale down.
The palms do not touch,
But the arms come straight above.
Make this a moving meditation.
Go deep within.
Gently relax the hands down,
Palms facing up and just be honoring the energy around you,
Tapping into the opening of the heart,
The heart being uplifted,
The love,
The joy.
On the next inhale,
Bow the head forward,
Bring the head to the right,
Neck circles moving towards the right and then the left and forward again.
Make this a moving meditation.
Next time the head comes forward,
Take it the opposite way.
Next time the head bows forward,
Inhale,
Bring the head to center and this is where you are welcome to move the body into Shavasana,
Giving yourself a rest or staying in this moment with me for meditation with the hands in prayer pose at the heart,
Whatever resonates with you,
Honor your body,
Knowing that whether you choose Shavasana or staying in meditation,
Stay there as long as your heart calls you to and come out of it gently when you're ready.
