Good morning,

Welcome to this time with God.

Find a comfortable seated position or remain lying down if that feels right for your body.

Gently close your eyes and begin to notice your breath.

Inhale slowly through your nose and exhale softly through your mouth.

Again,

Inhale slowly and a long gentle exhale.

Allow your shoulders to relax.

Allow your body to relax.

Allow the tension to completely melt away.

Let your breath become natural and easy.

Bring your awareness to your heart.

If it feels comfortable,

Place one hand over your heart and one hand over your belly.

Feel the gentle rise and fall of your breath.

Silently say to yourself,

Here I am,

Lord.

As you exhale,

Say,

I trust you.

Inhale,

Here I am,

Lord.

Exhale,

I trust you.

Continue at your own pace.

Know that in this moment,

You do not have to strive at anything.

You do not have to rush and you do not have to carry this day alone.

God is with you.

Reflect on that for a moment.

God is with you.

Receive this promise.

This steadfast love of the Lord never ceases.

His mercies never come to an end.

They are new every morning.

Great is your faithfulness.

Let these words settle gently into your heart.

New mercy.

New grace.

A fresh beginning.

Return your attention to your breath.

As you inhale,

Silently say,

Fill me with your peace.

And as you exhale,

Guide my day.

Inhale,

Fill me with your peace.

Exhale,

Guide my day.

Continue at your own pace.

Noticing your breath and allowing it to slow down.

Becoming more relaxed.

Releasing any control.

The control,

The need of everything.

Letting that go.

Releasing the pressure to be perfect.

Release that and relax into this moment.

Now placing your day in God's hands.

All your responsibilities,

All your decisions,

All your concerns.

Gently offering it all to Him.

Allowing these words to guide you.

As you go before me,

You walk beside me.

You carry what I cannot.

Turn everything over to Him.

Now bring one thing to mind that you're so grateful for.

It can be very simple.

It could be your breath,

A new day,

This quiet moment.

Whatever it is.

Bring that gratitude into your heart.

Allow it to fill your heart.

Set a special,

Gentle intention for your day.

It could be something like peace,

Patience,

Trust,

Love,

Kindness.

Whatever it is,

Set that intention now.

Choose to walk in peace.

And say to yourself,

Today I walk in your peace.

We'll close with a simple prayer.

Lord,

I thank you for this new day.

Walk with me in every moment.

Calm my mind.

Guide my steps through this day with peace,

Wisdom,

And trust.

Amen.

Carry this peace with you.

And know that you are not walking alone.
