So get nice and comfortable,
It is best to sit upright so you don't fall asleep.
Yet close your eyes to soothe the mind.
And let's begin on our journey of tranquility and healing.
Start by taking a deep breath.
Exhale,
Softening those muscles.
Breathe in deeply again,
Feeling that fresh air.
Exhale,
Let your shoulders just drop down.
Allow for a calmness to begin coming over you.
Realize that you are safe and supported in this moment.
I am here for you.
Have an understanding that anxiety comes from thoughts.
Thoughts of the past or concerns about the future.
So in this meditation,
We will focus on the present.
This is where peace and healing reside.
Take a moment to set a clear intention for this session.
What aspects of anxiety do you want to address?
Visualize each intention as a gentle wave of healing energy,
Ready to wash over you and soothe any inner turmoil.
Shifting your focus to your breath,
It is your anchor in the process of healing anxiety.
Feel that gentle rise and fall of your belly and chest,
A rhythmic expansion and contraction.
Your source of stability and presence.
And whenever your mind wanders away,
Which it will,
Bring it right back to that breath.
How it moves the body.
How it soothes the mind.
Visualize healing energy.
Imagine a gentle,
Present energy surrounding you.
It is like a cocoon of light.
This healing energy is warm and nurturing,
Almost like you are being held,
Filling you with comfort and peace,
Reassuring you that it's all okay.
Feel it permeating every cell of your being,
Encompassing all of your thoughts and nurturing your emotions.
You respond by relaxing even more,
And the healing wave washes over you.
Visualize any anxious thoughts or emotions,
They are just dripping off of you,
Just like how water rolls off a duck's back,
Easily falling away now,
Because you are relaxed.
You are allowing them to go.
You no longer judge these thoughts,
They are just like water rolling away.
It doesn't take any effort at all to let them go,
Actually,
The less effort you use,
The easier it becomes.
As you bring attention to your physical body,
So comfortable,
And you can imagine that healing wave of beautiful energy starting at the top of your head and flowing down the body,
Bringing you relaxation,
Rejuvenating every part of your body.
Allow for this energy to wash away any tension,
Any discomfort.
Take your mind to a serene and tranquil scene,
An oasis in the middle of the jungle,
Crystal clear waters,
Bluer than the sky.
The water is so clear that you can see straight to the bottom.
Little fishes swim about,
Beautiful stones and pebbles lie in the bottom.
It is the most beautiful oasis you've ever seen,
Because you are creating it.
The oasis is you,
So go ahead and get in the water and feel those smooth stones on the bottom of your feet.
The little fish are curious to see you,
They swim around your legs,
Gently caressing you.
You can see that they are almost smiling,
Happy that you are here.
Go ahead and swim around in the water.
Notice that you can dive underneath the water without the need of breathing,
You can swim wherever you want for as long as you wish.
The cool water is all around you,
And it feels so amazing.
You are amazing.
Your life is amazing,
Your body is amazing,
And your thoughts are amazing.
And in this beautiful moment,
You know that any anxious or negative thoughts that may come actually mean nothing,
They have no power over you,
They just fall away,
Because you are in control,
And remember,
You are amazing.
As you conclude your meditation,
Just come back in your own time,
Feeling so amazing the moment that you open your eyes.
