Hello and welcome to this space.
My name is Maya and I'm going to be guiding you through this meditation today.
So this meditation we are going to work through a cord release visualization.
This is a really good one to incorporate into your weekly practice,
Especially if you tend to move through a lot of crowds or if you are working closely with people.
Sometimes as we move through life we pick up on other people's energies and we create these attachments to one another which can be beautiful but it's also really beautiful to come back and anchor yourself into your own personal energy.
So we're going to do that today.
To start I'm just going to invite you to get settled into your space.
You can make sure that you're somewhere where you will not be disturbed for a few minutes and you feel safe to just really relax and be here with yourself.
And when you feel ready you can just soften your gaze so that it rests somewhere on the horizon or you can gently close your eyes.
Just let yourself land here in this moment.
Whatever happened before,
Whatever will happen later today will be waiting for you outside of this meditation.
So just give yourself the gift of this space to be with you.
We're going to take three nice deep breaths just to anchor ourselves here.
Take a nice deep breath in through the nose and exhale let it go.
Another nice deep breath in through the nose and open your mouth to let it go.
And one more nice deep breath in through the nose.
Open your mouth and sigh it out.
Beautiful.
So I'm going to invite you to imagine yourself in the midst of a beautiful wide open space someplace in nature.
This can be in a field,
This could be on a beach on the edge of the ocean.
Whatever feels expansive and supportive to you can imagine yourself there.
In this space you're first going to become aware of your feet anchored against the earth.
Feel the texture of the ground beneath you,
If it is soft,
If it is cold or warm.
You're going to bring your awareness to your body in this space.
So just noticing any places that feel restrictive,
Noticing any pain or any places where you feel free and expanded.
And as you scan your body you're going to notice that there are these cords hanging off of you.
Some of them may be pulled taut with tension,
Some of them may be long reaching far into the distance,
And others may be short enough for you to see what is waiting for you on the other side.
These cords may be wrapped around your neck or your torso,
May be tangled up around your ankles or your legs.
You may notice some of these cords coming out of your solar plexus.
There may be one cord,
There may be many.
Trust whatever visuals come to mind for you.
I'm going to invite divine love to come be with you now as you allow for these cords to dissolve.
So you're going to move through a process of bringing your attention and awareness to one cord in particular,
Whichever one feels like it carries the most weight for you.
You're going to hold this cord in your hands.
Sense what it is attached to.
You can also notice if there is any emotional attachment that you are carrying to this cord,
If you are afraid to let it go.
And just notice,
Honor the feelings that come up.
If there is restriction,
If there is a heaviness,
If there is frustration,
Or even if there feels like there is ease here.
I'm going to thank and acknowledge this cord for what it has offered you.
We're going to imagine just divine light wrapping around this cord,
Letting it dissolve.
Let the cord fade away until there is nothing.
You can feel the new lightness that exists within that part of your being.
And let's move on to the next cord.
So repeating the same process of observing the cord,
Observing any emotional attachment you may have to this cord,
Thanking the cord and allowing for it to dissolve.
You can repeat this process as many times as you need.
I'm going to be quiet for a few moments here just so that you can be in your process.
Trust whatever is coming through for you,
Allowing for the cords to dissolve.
Once you feel complete,
I'm going to imagine a waterfall of light washing down over your body,
Cleansing any residue that may be left over from the anchor points of those cords.
Trusting that you will be free to reconnect with these people,
Places and things as you feel called to,
But from a more sovereign state.
You don't need to be enmeshed with someone or something to experience connection with it.
That it is safe for you to fully be in your own body,
In your own experience of life.
I'm going to allow this visualization to dissolve.
Coming back to the room where you began,
You can feel the weight of your body against the seat where you are sitting.
Wiggle your fingers,
Wiggle your toes.
Place your hands together over your heart space.
Thank yourself for showing up for you today,
For taking this time to let go of what no longer serves you.
You can stay here for as long as you need.
And when you feel ready,
You can open your eyes.
