Settle back and relax your shoulders.
Breathe out and breathe in again Allow the air to flow.
Through your human body.
It's not true And allow your muscles to soften.
Allow the shoulders to drop away from your ears.
Allow the jaw.
To relax and unclench.
You can do it.
Feel the support behind and beneath your body.
And simply be.
Be here now as I read this poem for you.
The Summer Day by Mary Oliver who made the world who made the swan and the black bear.
Who made the grasshopper?
This grasshopper,
I mean.
The one who has flung herself out of the grass.
The one who's eating sugar out of my hand.
Who is moving her jaws back and forth instead of up and down.
Who is gazing around with her enormous and complicated eyes.
Now she lifts her pale forearms and thoroughly washes her face.
Now she snaps her wings open and floats away.
I don't exactly know what a prayer is.
I don't know how to pay attention.
How to fall down.
Into the grass.
How to kneel down in the grass.
How to be idle and blessed.
How to stroll through the fields.
Which is what I've been doing all day.
Tell me.
Wh-what else?
Should I have done?
Doesn't everything die at last and too soon?
Tell me,
What is it?
You plan to do.
With your one wild precious life.
Mmm.
By Mary Oliver.
The summer day.
Hmm.
What comes up for you when you listen to this?
For me it speaks to me.
Very much about mindfulness,
Presence.
And the way of allowing our life to be a prayer.
And every day,
Every moment can be a ceremony where we are present with ourselves and with nature and what is in front of us.
Observe,
Drink it all in with all of our senses.
And this is also a type of meditation exactly like.
.
.
Box breathing or contemplating body scans and all that there is available.
Exactly like knitting or dancing or washing the dishes,
Cooking,
Walking can all be types of meditations,
Types of prayer by expression,
By being present in the body.
And allowing life to flow through us.
With each breath.
To feel the breeze.
Against our skin to hear the sounds.
That are present.
Even the traffic on the street passing by.
Allowing it to only be sound.
Instead of a disturbance.
It can be as beautiful as listening to waves at the ocean.
With a little bit of imagination,
I admit.
Still,
You know what I mean.
I trust that.
I trust that you know what I mean.
And I trust that you have received.
What is meant for you in this moment to receive.
And I wish you all the best for the rest of your day.
You might wanna wiggle your feet.
Allow your hands to make some circular movements,
Wiggle your fingers.
Perhaps stretch a little bit or allow a smile or yawn to emerge.
Hmm.
So bring some movement into your wonderful body wherever you are and unclench that yaw.
Allow a bit of space between your teeth and the lips to be closed while you breathe through your nose.
Mmm,
That's good.
Have a beautiful day and a beautiful rest of your week,
Year,
Month.
Life.
I wish you all the best.
Thank you for.
.
.
Spending time with me.
Namaste.
