Find your word of the year. This gentle meditation guides you inward to discover your word of the year. We will connect with the body and allow a word to naturally arise from intuition rather than force. Have a journal and pen ready to reflect on the word that arrives for you. You may also like to get creative with your word. I have a frame in my office that I display my word as a reminder throughout the year. When I receive a vision along with my word, I like to create a picture of the vision with my word. When I don’t get a visual that comes to me, I design a border around my word and display that in my frame. Making a wallpaper for your phone is also a nice idea. Maybe you want to write it on a Post-it and put it on the dashboard of your car, or on your fridge. Find what is right for you to stay connected to your word throughout the year.

Thank you for joining me to connect with your Word of the Year.

You may want to have a journal and pen ready.

The Word of the Year is part doing and part being.

It helps you show up in the world in alignment with your purpose.

It is unique to you and what you need to focus on or a word that will support you in this coming year.

Or it might be something that you are working towards in your life.

It may not be something that you would consciously pick.

You may hear your word,

See it,

Or just know what it is.

Last year my word was held.

I heard the word first and then I received a vision of a tree with roots digging deep into the earth.

I knew I was to remember that I am always held and supported and also that I am meant to hold and support others.

You may feel resistance to the word that comes.

You can ask for another word to present itself to you but also keep in mind the first word.

You may be surprised that you end up feeling more connected to that first word.

Now let's begin the meditation.

Close your eyes and take a deep breath in and let it go.

Let your body relax.

Deep breath in,

Filling your belly as much as possible and let it out.

Let your body soften.

Deep breath in and out.

Drop into your body.

Place your hand over your heart or the center of your chest.

Breathe into your heart and let it out.

Allow your body to relax even more as you take slow deep breaths in and out.

Let the chaos of the day fall away.

Just for these next few moments,

All you need is right here.

Imagine you are in the sunlight and it is the perfect temperature for you.

Feel the sun on your skin.

Your whole body opening to the warmth.

Absorbing the light.

Feel the light entering your body.

Expanding.

Your whole body filling with the light.

Say to your higher self,

I am ready to receive my word.

Allow the word to enter your body like the rays of light.

Revealing itself as you open and receive.

Allow your word to appear to you.

Don't try to find it.

Let it come to you.

You may hear it or see it.

You may just have a knowing of the word.

Let it come as it is and trust what comes to you.

When the word reveals itself,

Ask yourself,

What do I need to know about this word?

Bring your attention back to the room you are in and take your journal and pen and write down your word.

Take a few minutes to write down anything else that comes to you relating to your word.

Thank you again for joining me.

I wish you the best this coming year.

May it be filled with love and joy.

Wow. This was beautiful. Your voice was calm and soothing. I’ve been choosing a word for the year for several years. I loved your word and visual. Doing the visualization with my word and journaling afterwards felt so good. Thank you for this meditation Lyndsey. .
