We are all made up of many layers like a perfectly formed onion.

And getting to know yourself is getting to know the layers that form you.

Peeling back the layers is essential in getting to know yourself in a much deeper and meaningful way.

Your internal compass will help you to make great choices as you gain full awareness and ownership of yourself.

Self-reflection builds self-confidence.

To start,

Simply breathe in relaxation and breathe out letting go of any tension.

Trust your awareness on your heart.

Each in-breath nourishes you as your heart drinks in the precious oxygen.

Breathe normally now making no special effort to breathe.

Check in with how your body is feeling.

Do you have any aches,

Any pains?

Do you have any worries?

Where are you in eager anticipation?

What is the inner wisdom in your heart for today?

I will read over a list of inner strengths you already have inside of you.

Which one would you like to activate and spotlight for today?

Which one will you align your actions,

Words and behaviours with for today?

Happiness Gratitude Affection Inner harmony Acceptance Patience Compassion Authenticity Flexibility Humility Courage Tolerance Gentleness Friendliness Integrity Calmness Kindness Discretion Openness Forgiveness Acceptance Generosity Respect Enthusiasm Trust How could you use this strength and this wisdom in your life?

How could your words and actions reflect this inner wisdom?

Now I'd like you to lightly call to mind your own good qualities.

What are you proud of?

What touches your heart about yourself?

We are going to use these ancient well wishes to reaffirm the goodness in your life and your heart.

In silence,

Repeat these phrases in your mind.

May I be safe.

May I be happy.

May I be healthy.

May I live with ease.

Now think of someone or something you love.

It may be a partner or a pet.

Think about what you love about them.

Now that you have cultivated these warm feelings of love,

Direct these feelings towards yourself.

May I be safe.

May I be happy.

May I be healthy.

May I live with ease.

Take a few deep breaths and feel these phrases in your heart.

Now open your heart to be kinder to yourself.

May I be safe.

May I be happy.

May I be healthy.

May I live with ease.

Take this spirit of loving kindness with you and be kind and gentle to yourself to grow your self-love and your confidence.
