Welcome to your morning meditation.
This is your new day,
Your opportunity to refresh your mind and body,
So you feel clearer and brighter and you can carry that into your day ahead.
Sure,
There are things within our day we need to be flexible with that are not in our control.
However,
We can choose how we start our day.
And today,
You have chosen to begin with a focused and more positive mindset to really make the most out of your day.
We will begin and end the meditation with the sound of a chime.
So let's get started.
Make yourself comfortable.
You can simply focus your eyes on something you find relaxing or gently close your eyes.
Chiming sound.
Let's begin by taking some long,
Slow,
Deep breaths.
Chiming sound.
As you breathe in,
Feel your belly rise.
And as you breathe out,
Feel your belly fall.
Taking some deep breaths.
Breathing in through the nose and out through the mouth.
Focusing on your lungs really filling with air and allowing your body to really soften each time you exhale.
Start to tune in to how your body is feeling after your sleep.
Keep filling your lungs with pure,
Clean air that oxygenates and wakes up your lungs ready for a great day ahead.
Your breath is a direct communicator with your nervous system.
It is your tool to keep your nervous system calm and confident throughout the day.
It is your anchor and your stable point to always come back to during your practice.
And just start by taking your attention to your feet.
And take a deep breath in.
And on the exhalation,
Allow your feet to completely relax.
Then moving up your body to your legs.
Take a deep breath in.
And on the exhalation,
Let go of any tension in the legs.
Then your hips and buttocks.
Take a deep breath in.
And on the exhalation,
Relaxing the hips and the buttocks.
Now to your abdominal,
Chest and back area.
On the exhalation,
Completely relax.
Now to your arms,
Taking a deep breath in.
And then on the out breath,
Letting go of any muscle tension in the arms,
The hands,
The fingers.
Allowing them to completely relax.
Now your shoulders and your neck.
Letting go of any tightness or stiffness that may have come from your sleep.
Taking that deep breath in and on the exhalation,
Really letting go of your shoulders and your neck.
Allowing your body to surrender and soften.
And finally to your head and your face.
Allow your facial muscles to relax,
Your jaw muscles to relax.
Even those muscles around your eyes.
Allow those muscles to relax.
So that your whole body is completely at rest.
Totally surrendered to this moment.
Now we're going to focus on taking some exaggerated deep breaths.
Where you count in for three and count out for six.
Making the exhalation longer.
We want to use that exaggerated breath so if someone was sitting next to you,
They could hear your breathing.
Ideally breathing in your nose and out your mouth.
Taking those exaggerated deep breaths,
Counting in for three and counting out for six.
The inhalation the belly is rising and the exhalation the belly is falling.
We really want to extend the exhalation so we start to calm the nervous system and prime it ready for a confident day ahead.
We want the lungs to crave more oxygen and maximize your lung capacity.
Your breath is what recharges your cells,
Muscles and organs and really keeps your body energized throughout the day.
And now just go back to your normal rhythm of breathing.
Without any effort,
Without any force,
Just your normal rhythm of breathing.
In your mind's eye,
Take a moment to visualize yourself in your happy place.
Wherever that place is for you.
Is it in the forest,
The mountains,
At the beach,
In a tree house,
Maybe in another country?
Where is your favorite happy place?
Tune in and connect with your happy place.
The place where you feel relaxed,
Calm and happy.
See yourself sitting in your happy place and really feel the energy of that place for you.
Allow the peaceful,
Happy energy,
Thoughts and feelings to be a part of you right now.
Filling every cell of your body with this energy and see it radiating out around you.
Now give the energy a color.
Is it red,
Orange,
Yellow,
Green,
Blue,
Indigo or violet?
Choose a color,
Whatever color comes to your mind first.
Red is the color of vitality and courage.
Orange is the color of happiness and confidence.
Yellow is the color of wisdom and clarity.
Green is the color of balance and love.
Blue is the color of knowledge and decisiveness.
Indigo is the color of intuition and understanding.
And violet is the color of creativity and inspiration.
See whatever color resonates with you today.
And see that color filling every cell in your body with this vibrant energy and see this color radiating out around you.
Now that you have the significant color of energy in your happy place,
Let's connect with the core of who you are and what your life journey is about.
And start with asking yourself these simple yet really powerful questions.
To begin with,
What is most important to you right now?
And the next question,
What do you want right now?
Sometimes we know what we don't want,
But what do you want right now?
What's important?
And lastly,
What inspires you?
Give yourself the space and the time to reflect on these questions and connect to the core of who you are.
The first question was,
What is most important to you right now?
What do you want right now?
And what inspires you?
Hear what you hear,
Feel what you feel and see what you see.
Now it is time to leave your happy place,
Knowing that you can go back there at any time.
It's your own place where you feel calm,
Happy and peaceful.
Bring your attention back to focusing on your breath and bring your awareness back to your body.
Feeling your feet on the ground and wriggling your toes and your fingers.
You have taken time to optimize your day,
To connect with a deeper part of you,
To access your own inner wisdom and ignite your own foundation of positivity.
Remember that everything you ever need is inside of you.
When you're ready,
Gently open your eyes.
And have a wonderful day.
Thank you.
