The Ho'oponopono prayer can be used for forgiveness of self and others, or to bring healing into areas of our lives. It's a Hawaiian prayer that can help us to cultivate deep compassion. We begin with a meditation to get centered before journeying with this beautiful prayer: I'm sorry, please forgive me, thank you, I love you. There's space for you to journey with the prayer without my guiding voice for a couple of minutes, before we close together. I hope it brings you the healing you need.

Today we're going to be working with a beautiful prayer called the Ho'oponopono prayer.

This is a Hawaiian prayer that can be used for forgiveness of the self and forgiveness of others.

It can also be used to send healing to areas of our lives that we might want to heal,

Parts of the body that we might want to heal,

Patterns,

Thought patterns.

And the beauty of it is that it's so simple.

So let's begin.

Close down the eyes and get centred in the body.

Pay attention to how the body is feeling in this moment.

Your connection to the surface beneath you.

And maybe take a few cleansing breaths into the body.

Breathing in your fullest breath through the nose if that's available,

Or the mouth if it's not.

Holding it at the top and sighing it out.

Repeating this cleansing breath for a few rounds.

Really allowing yourself to arrive in this present moment as we journey with this prayer.

Inviting you now to bring to mind an area of your life where you'd like to direct this prayer.

Maybe there's a person that you want to forgive.

Maybe you want to forgive yourself.

Maybe you want to cultivate more self-love.

Maybe there are parts of the body that you've had a tough relationship with that you'd like to invite some love into,

Invite some healing into.

And we can work with different things each time we come back to this prayer.

But spending some time now to reflect on what it is that you'd like to work with today and trusting whatever comes up first.

And really holding that intention in your mind as we begin to journey with this prayer.

And the words of the prayer are,

I'm sorry,

Please forgive me,

Thank you,

I love you.

And I'm going to be repeating this a few times.

Feel free to join in and speak the words out loud or just say them internally.

Then I'm going to leave a few moments of silence where you can journey with these words yourself.

You might feel called to place your hands on a particular part of your body as we recite this prayer.

Maybe you want to bring your hands to the part of the body that you feel is in need of healing.

You might want to bring the hands to the heart.

Or just keep them resting in your lap,

Whatever feels most comfortable for you.

I'm beginning to get ready now to journey with the prayer.

I'm sorry,

Please forgive me,

Thank you,

I love you.

I'm sorry,

Please forgive me,

Thank you,

I love you.

I'm sorry,

And taking some time to continue with that prayer at your own pace,

Your own rhythm,

But really feeling into the words,

Finding your own pace with them.

Feeling the vibration of these words throughout your entire being.

I'll keep an eye on the time and bring you back in a few minutes.

I'll keep an eye on the time and bring you back in a few minutes.

I'll keep an eye on the time and bring you back in a few minutes.

I'll keep an eye on the time and bring you back in a few minutes.

Taking a few moments to breathe in and out.

Breathe in the healing energy of these words of this prayer.

Arriving back into the present moment.

Bringing awareness back to your body.

To the space around you.

To the breath.

And thanking yourself for taking the time to journey with this prayer today.

Knowing that you can return to it anytime.

It can be used for all sorts of healing in our lives.

Thank you.

All around goodness! Thank you!! Sometimes our mind may not realize we need to slow down and relate to these words, but we may feel the call in our spirit. Repetition of the prayer could have been a little slower for processing purposes, but I am glad there was time included to go at our own speed with it.

Thank you for this guided Ho’Oponopono practice. It was very helpful to settle in before beginning.
