Hello,
Dear ones.
Welcome to this guided meditation from Luminous Leanings to help you lean toward the light.
Today we are going to travel back in time and forward into the future to heal moments of great suffering,
Whether those moments are real or imagined.
But we spend so much time in the past and future obsessing.
This is because our negativity bias,
A product of our brain's evolution,
Wants to heal residual pain and protect us from harm,
So it keeps going back to those thoughts that are negative.
But the good news is we can use the present moment to heal these fears and traumas.
We are going to first reflect on a challenging time in the past.
If at any point the memory you have chosen is too overwhelming,
Please feel free to come out of the meditation and begin again with a less traumatic memory.
We will then send ourselves boundless love and compassion right here,
Right now.
Next we will reflect on a fear of the future that is deeply held and again send ourselves love from this present moment,
Reminding ourselves that we can handle anything so long as we can access the here and now and our capacity for self-love.
Find a comfortable position and close your eyes.
Use your senses to anchor you in this moment.
What do you feel like in your body?
What can you hear?
Anything you can smell?
Say to yourself,
I am here.
I want to send healing to my past traumas.
I want to send healing to my future fears.
Access this desire for well-being,
Your meta-intention to be free from suffering,
And connect to your innate inner goodness.
Breathe in deeply,
Filling up your lungs,
Top to bottom and side to side.
Hold,
Hold,
Hold at the top and breathe out.
Let your breathing return to normal.
Now bring to mind a time that was particularly difficult for you.
Really envision it and be courageous to embody it again in this moment.
What happened?
What or who were you reacting to?
What was the pinpointed moment of your greatest suffering?
How did you feel in your body?
Did you lock up,
Freezing with fear?
Or did you immediately react,
Spinning out of control?
Or perhaps you ran,
In flight from whatever or whomever was bringing you pain.
Was your heart racing?
Was your chest tight?
Was your breath stagnant?
Allow yourself to wade backwards into that experience,
Even though I know it's difficult.
Now channel your ability for self-love.
Put on your higher consciousness hat and see yourself down below in this difficult moment in time.
Can you now have a bird's eye view of the experience?
With a higher perspective?
Can you have more clarity and a further reaching capacity for understanding?
Bring your hand to your heart if that feels okay.
Imagine you are reaching back through time to that version of yourself,
Touching your own heart during that difficult moment.
You have all the time in the world now to send that being love and light through your palm into your heart.
Breathe in.
Breathe out.
Continue breathing deeply and consciously.
Repeat this mantra to your past self.
I recognize the pain you are in.
I am so sorry for your suffering.
I believe you can choose another path.
I believe healing is possible.
I love you.
I've got your back.
I promise everything will turn out fine.
If there was a particular mantra we just said that spoke to you,
Repeat it to yourself and continue breathing.
We will spend a couple of minutes here.

I know this isn't easy Now bring to mind a future fear Perhaps it's related to work an impending deadline a major project Or maybe it's simply the fear of being alone of never finding a partner Maybe the fear is health related or the fear of losing a loved one Whatever comes to mind,
But only choose one which one feels strongest right now Remember you can always repeat this medicine You can always repeat this meditation later Now put yourself in the future fear scenario Imagine the worst has happened You are experiencing distress and are in the absolute throes of your suffering You are experiencing distress and are in the absolute throes of your suffering How does it feel in your heart space your chest Where is your breath?
Are there other trigger pain points in your body?
Are they the same than the past trauma and body?
Are they the same Now put on your higher perspective hat again and place your hand over your heart Muster the courage and strength to send yourself boundless love and light and healing from this present moment If it helps you can imagine you are wrapping your arms around this future self who is suffering Perhaps this future fear will never happen Most of them never do and even if we know this logically our emotions are not logical and that is okay Send love to that fear If this is likely to occur all the more reason to sit and be with these emotions in a healing capacity now to prepare yourself You have all the time in the world to send love to your future self through your palm into your heart Breathe in deeply and consciously Hold at the top and exhale Repeat this mantra after me.
I recognize the pain you are in I Am so sorry for your suffering I Believe you can choose a path out of suffering.
I Know healing is possible.
I Love you I've got your back.

Remember where you are and when it is Notice how you feel You have traveled through time to clear the energy from a past trauma and a future fear You're a powerful time traveler with boundless love forgiveness and understanding No matter what has occurred in your life or what will occur Remember you can always tap into this power to send yourself all that you need Because all you need is right here within you Open your eyes slowly and allow yourself adequate time to reintegrate into your room Before moving on with the rest of the day Dear one,
