Whatever's going on in the mind or the outside world right now,
We're going to take one moment to pause and interrupt the busyness and remind ourselves that we we're safe here and now.
So settle into a comfortable position.
Place one palm on your stomach and the other on the center of your chest.
Take a slow breath in,
Feel the air expanding your ribcage in all directions and then let it out with a sigh.
Again,
A nice slow full breath in and sighing it out and letting your whole body drop,
Releasing some of that tension.
And one more time,
Slow,
Easy,
Full breath in and let it all go.
Feeling the ground beneath you,
Feeling the support.
You could even place a hand on your chest.
It's almost like you're giving yourself a hug,
Reassuring your nervous system that you're safe.
You can sprinkle these many pauses throughout the day just to check in with the breath,
With the body,
Interrupting the trance,
Reminding yourself that you're safe.
