Yoga Nidra - Pranic Clearing
Healing is natural and spontaneous, but sometimes we need to attend to a deeper level of emotional healing, just like we'd clean out an infected cut. This guided yoga Nidra is a practice to travel deep into the energy body (pranamaya kosha) and un-stick stagnant prana, or energy. If you enjoy this Nidra, please leave a star review afterward! Thank you for inviting me into your practice.
Transcript
This is a yoga nidra for pranic clearing.
My name is Lucy Greenwood and I'll be guiding you through this yoga nidra.
Prana is also known as universal life energy.
And while we all know how to heal,
And while healing is very,
Very natural,
Sometimes we need a little help when we're feeling stuck,
When that prana is feeling stagnant.
Settling yourself into a comfortable position.
That could mean laying down.
It might mean sitting upright with your spine supported.
Making sure you feel as comfortable as possible.
And know that while you can definitely move,
Shift,
And get more comfortable throughout the practice,
Try and do that all right now so that you won't feel the need to move during this practice.
Making sure your head is supported if you're laying down.
That there are no lumps or bumps in your clothing that will distract you.
Taking any movements that will make you even just 5% more comfortable in this moment.
Taking a really deep breath in through your nose.
Holding that breath at the very top.
And exhale,
Sighing it all out,
Letting it go.
We'll do that again one more time.
Deep breath in,
Base of your lungs filled to the top,
And hold.
Exhale,
Letting it all go with a sigh.
As we start to settle into this practice,
It's okay if your mind wanders.
That's part of the nature of the mind,
That movement.
Try and use my voice as an anchor for your experience.
As your thoughts start to come in,
As your attention starts to drift,
Bringing your awareness,
Bringing your focus back to the sound of my words.
As we rotate through naming some physical spots on your body,
Maybe you experience them energetically.
And seeing these areas from within your body.
If you're a visual person and it would help support your practice,
You might also want to visualize what each part of this body looks like.
Starting with the mouth.
Roof of the mouth.
Balls of the mouth left and right.
Bottom of your mouth.
Tongue.
Your whole mouth as sensation.
Awareness to your top lip.
And bottom lip.

Softening your sinuses.
Relaxing your ear canals.
Attention to the outside of that right ear.

Relaxing now the entire head as sensation.

Pinky toe.
Sole of the left foot.
Top of the left foot.
Left ankle.
Shin and calf.
Knee.
Thigh.
Left hip.
Navel center.
Experiencing both legs left and right purely as sensation.
Warm,
Vibrant,
Soft sensation.
As you feel your whole body as sensation laying on the floor or sitting,
Find a spot that feels a little stagnant.
A little dull.
Maybe achy.
A place where energy just doesn't feel like it's flowing quite right.
Let's focus on just one spot at a time.
Bringing your awareness to this one spot.
With your awareness,
Imagine your breath is also moving to the very center of this spot.
This area of dull or achy.
This place where your prana,
Your life force just doesn't seem to be flowing quite right.
At first let's find the very center of this achy spot.
Bringing your attention and your breath to the very center.
Now diffusing your attention.
Letting that attention go from a pinpoint to a little softer around the edges.
Growing larger.
Breath expanding in this area.
If it's helpful for you,
Maybe you imagine your attention like a mist.
Soft and diffuse around the edges.
Growing larger.
As your attention grows larger in this area of tension,
Allow that epicenter to start to fade.
If this specific area of tension had a color,
What would that color be?
Imagine that color glowing from this area of diffuse attention and stuck prana.
Now what's the opposite of this color?
Let's assign this opposite color to your breath.
So as you inhale,
Breathe this opposite color into that area of stuck prana.
As those two colors start to mingle,
They cancel each other out.
Breathing in this opposite color.
Breathing that color into the area of tension or stuck prana.
And as those two colors mingle,
They cancel each other out.
Let's move on to another part of the body where you feel that dull,
Achy,
Or stagnant energy.
And if there is no other part in the body currently,
Then just go back to that first area.
And we'll practice again there.
Now in this new area of achiness.
This new area where prana just doesn't feel like it's moving at its most optimal.
Bring your attention,
All of your awareness to the very center.
Your awareness,
Your breath acting like a pin.
In the very epicenter of this area.
Now that you've found the very center of this blocked prana,
Imagine your awareness starting to expand outward,
To diffuse,
To grow misty.
Now in this new area,
Is there a different color that you would assign?
What's the opposite of that color?
Once again,
We'll assign the opposite color to the breath.
As you inhale the breath into this area,
This new area of tension,
Its opposite color mingling with the original,
Canceling each other out.
Bringing deep,
Soft breaths to the center of this new area of tension.
Breathing in that opposite color.
And as those two colors mix,
They even each other out.
Now relaxing your breath.
Realizing any colors from your mind's eye.
Allowing your attention to expand even further.
Awareness growing larger,
Like a bubble.
And eventually this awareness encompasses your entire body,
From the crown of your head all the way down to fingertips,
Toe tips.
This awareness is even expanding outward,
Beyond the confines of your physical body.
Realizing your whole body as pure sensation.
Warm,
Soft,
Relaxed sensation.
Allowing your attention to expand even further.
Allowing your attention to expand even further.
Bringing your attention,
Bringing your awareness back into your breath.
Feeling cool air as it enters your nostrils.
That air slightly warmed by your lungs as it exits your nostrils.
There's that gentle movement in your chest,
Your abdomen rising and falling with every breath.
Feel free to increase that movement by taking a deep breath in and a sighing breath out.
Try to wiggle your fingers and your toes,
Expanding that movement,
That energy from the center of your body out.
Moving and stretching in any way that suits you right now.
Linking your eyes back open.
Returning from your internal world into the external world.
Thank you so much for inviting me in your practice today.
My name is Lucy Greenwood.
I look forward to sharing space with you again.
Shanti,

Peace,
Peace,
Peace.
Peace,
Peace,
