This is a guided mindful practice, using deep breathing and calming music to help you to relieve anxiety and stress. Box breathing is a grounding technique to help you to feel calm. This track is also soft-spoken so it can help you to fall asleep.

Hey,

Welcome to my channel.

In this video I'm going to be talking you through some breathing techniques for grounding yourself when you are feeling anxious or stressed.

These are mindful deep breathing techniques and therefore they can also be used to just help you to relax,

Or if you want to use this as ASMR to fall asleep,

It will be soft spoken so hopefully you will enjoy it for sleep as well.

So make sure that you are comfortable either sitting down or laying down,

Preferably with earphones in to listen to this video.

I'm going to be using a technique called box breathing.

This is a mindful deep breathing technique and it can help you with anxiety and stress or to calm down from your day.

So I will be counting for you,

For you to follow along the breathing pattern and that will be breathing in for four,

Holding that breath for four,

Breathing out for four and then holding that breath for four.

We will be repeating this pattern a few times and this way you can simply follow along my instruction of breathing in when I say,

Holding when I say and breathing out when I say.

So allow your body to let go of any tension.

Relax into the position that you are in.

Allow your mind to let go of any stress,

Any negative thoughts,

Just simply sweep them aside giving yourself a moment of peace to relax.

Just focus on my voice and follow along with my guided breathing rhythm.

So when you are ready we will begin with breathing in.

Hold that breath,

Breathing out and hold that breath and breathing in.

Hold,

Breathing out.

Hold,

Breathing in.

Hold,

Breathing out.

Hold,

Breathing in.

Hold,

Breathing out.

Hold,

Breathing in.

Hold,

Breathing out.

Breathing out.

Hold.

Allow your breathing to return to a comfortable place.

You should notice that the rhythm of your breathing is still at a relaxed place.

This breathing technique can help you to let go for a moment,

To calm your body down if you've had a stressful day,

It's important to take the time.

Okay,

So one last time,

I will count some more breaths when you are ready.

Breathing in.

Hold.

Breathing out.

Hold.

Breathing in.

Hold.

Breathing out.

Hold.

Breathing in.

Hold.

Breathing out.

And hold.

And again allow yourself to relax your breathing to a natural rhythm.

And just remember to come back here to this moment whenever you need to,

To take a moment and just do some deep mindful breathing as this can benefit in so many ways.

I hope that this technique could help you to just calm yourself down for a moment.

And hopefully you can now relax.
