I'd like to share with you meditation to completely neutralize tension.
This is an extremely relaxing meditation.
It comes under the category of NAD Yoga,
The yoga of sound.
NAD is the essence of sound and this sound connects the finite with the infinite,
With the earthly realm,
With the infinite realm,
With the unknown.
The science of NAD Yoga is thousands of years old and it works with the movement of the tongue,
Of language,
Chemical changes in the brain.
The practice of NAD Yoga,
It will alter your consciousness by changing the chemical composition of the brain fluids.
So when you chant,
You affect the chemistry of the brain.
It's as if you've got an electronic computerized security system in your mouth,
Punching the right code,
And you gain entry to the brain and your inner chambers of higher consciousness.
And when we chant,
We're also using prana,
That's life force energy,
To create a sound current.
So no wonder chanting is so powerful.
Basically what we can do when we chant is impact the whole function of our glandular system,
Based on the sounds that we create.
So this beautiful meditation to neutralize tension,
It uses the Bhishma mantra,
Seed mantra,
Which is Sat Naam.
Truth is my name.
It's a reminder of your spiritual essence.
If you do this meditation for 40 days,
You can revitalize your glandular system.
Don't forget the glands are the guardians of your health.
So you'll not only be returned to a relaxed state,
But to a healthy one as well.
Make sure that you're in a seated position.
We mustn't be lying down for this.
We need to be sitting.
So if you have a meditation cushion,
Sit on your cushion,
Cross your legs and have a nice straight spine.
Or you can sit on a chair or against a wall.
Just make sure the spine is straight as you pull the chin back slightly to bring the neck into line as well.
We're going to first of all tune in.
We do this by rubbing our hands together,
Bringing them into Anjali Mudra,
Prayer mudra,
Here at the center of your heart.
Put the thumbs against the sternum.
As we're going to chant Om Namo,
Guru Dev Namo.
We always do this before any kundalini practice.
So we're tuning in to that inner wisdom inside ourselves and allowing that place to guide us through our practice.
Deep inhale to prepare.
At Gali Nami Chakad Gali Nami Sat Gali Nami Siddhi Guli Dev Nami At Gali Nami Chakad Gali Nami Sat Gali Nami Siddhi Guli Dev Nami At Gali Nami Chakad Gali Nami Sat Gali Nami Siddhi Guli Dev Nami Take a very deep inhale and gently exhale.
Release your hands,
Place them down for a moment.
As we're going to prepare for our meditation,
We stay in easy pose with a straight spine and that light neck lock.
You're going to bring both of your palms facing up at the heart center in front of your chest.
Cross the right palm over the left and place the left thumb in the center of the right palm and cross the right thumb over the left thumb.
It should be a nice snug sort of a mudra.
You can bend the fingers in and just hold that position in front of the chest,
Not against it.
Your eyes are nine-tenths closed like slits.
As you meditate,
They may become closed and that's okay.
And we're simply going to chant long Sat Nams.
It's a deep inhale as you release the sound Sat Sat and then a short Nam.
I'll show you what that sounds like.
I take a deep inhale.
So I will do that meditation with you with that sound but your breath may be different to mine.
It may be longer,
May be shorter and it doesn't matter.
It's quite nice when the frequency of the mantra starts to overlap but you just focus on the sound you are making and on your breath,
Taking the deep inhale,
Releasing that sound Sat out slowly,
Using the belly to pull back towards the spine and squeeze out the sound and ending with a short Nam.
Let's get ready to chant.
Bring yourself into position as we take a deep inhale Sat.
Take a very deep inhale exhale,
Release the mudra,
Place the hands on your knees,
Keep the eyes closed and just let your normal breath pattern resume.
We bring the practice to an end by tuning out and in kundalini we always tune out with three long Sat Nams.
So here we go,
Let's rub our hands together,
Bring them into anjani mudra,
Prayer pose,
Press your palms together,
Thumbs against the sternum,
Three more long Sat Nams,
Here we go.
May you remember yourself,
Your essence and find a relaxed state of being rather than doing.
You may open your eyes,
Relax your hands down.
Thank you so much for sharing this meditation with me.
Don't forget that 40 consecutive days of practice will break your old habits,
It'll bring in the new,
Bring in the healing transformation and balanced health.
Your body and soul is craving.
So I wish you well on your meditative healing journey.
Sat Nam.
