Springtime Dreamtime Yoga Nidra is a soothing guided practice designed to invite deep relaxation and inner renewal. It begins with a gentle reminder to settle into a comfortable position, allowing the body to rest. We ease into the practice with breath awareness, shifting between externalization and internalization. From there, I guide you through a journey of the physical body, naming points of awareness to promote deep connection. As we move inward, the imagination awakens with springtime-inspired imagery. This practice is perfect for any time you need rest, restoration, and inspiration.

Welcome to this springtime,

Dreamtime yoga nidra.

First,

Set yourself up a cozy little nest,

Using any props that you might have.

Blankets,

Pillows,

Bolsters.

Once you create this nest and you find a comfortable position,

Scan the body from the crown of the head all the way to the tips of the toes.

Checking in with all the body parts.

Relaxing.

Growing comfortable.

Resting.

Preparing for this practice of non-doing.

Become aware of the room you are in.

With your eyes open,

Take in colors.

Shapes.

And with your ears,

Any sounds within the room.

Shifting the awareness now to the breath in the body.

Take a deep breath in.

And a deep breath out.

A deep breath in.

A deep breath out.

Beginning a journey through our physical body,

Bring your awareness to the eyebrow center.

Eyebrow center.

Eyebrow center.

Throat.

Right shoulder.

Right elbow.

Right wrist.

Heart space.

Left shoulder.

Left elbow.

Left wrist.

Navel.

Right hip joint.

Pelvic bowl.

Right leg.

The whole body.

Returning your awareness back to the breath.

Aware of the body moving with the breath.

Inhale.

Exhale.

Rise and fall.

Inhale.

Exhale.

Rise and fall.

Now bringing awareness to the imagination.

Opening doors to creativity.

Dreamland.

Springtime.

Imagine.

Morning spring rain.

A yellow umbrella.

Window open.

Fresh breeze drifts in.

Daffodils.

Tulips.

Mud puddles.

Red rain boots.

A clearing blue sky.

New green on trees.

Rainbow melts into sunset.

Returning the awareness onto the breath.

Feeling your physical body.

And your physical space.

Take a deep breath in.

A deep breath out.

Another deep breath in.

A deep breath out.

Holding onto this feeling.

Of dreamy spring.

Coming back into the physical body.

Into the physical space.

Creating movement.

Wiggling your fingers.

Wiggling your toes.

Closing our practice with the mantra Aum.

Silently repeating Aum.

This practice of yoga nidra has now come to an end.

Thank you for listening.

What a perfect, short yoga nidra break! I loved that it included rapid visualization as a lot of the the shorter practices don't. Great length for when you feel too busy for a longer meditation, too.
