Hello and welcome to Five Minutes in Nature with me Liz Scott and you join me today as I'm sitting down on a stile having my lunch on the 26th day of my pilgrimage as I'm following the Michael and Mary energy currents across England and I've stopped on a little lane,
It's called Monkley Lane and I can see across into a field full of cows that are seeming to be very happy grazing and wandering through the green meadow.
The sun is shining and I'm sheltered beneath some trees,
They haven't got any foliage on them yet but it's not far off and it's quite a warm day for March in England and I'm very much enjoying being out and about and today there's something that's been interesting for me is that the Michael and Mary energy current continues to surprise.
I've just visited something called the Devil's Bed and Bolster and that's a name given to a series of rocks that were once a burial chamber or a chamber tomb and to be honest if I had walked across them and not been looking for them I probably wouldn't have looked twice,
They just look like a bundle of rocks to me.
You see and what's interesting here is that the Michael current apparently gives off an energy on these rocks that the dowser who followed the energy line from Cornwall all the way up to Norfolk he followed the Michael energy line and when he got here he described it as almost having a shimmering haze coming off the rock so I went out of my way to find these rocks which are so called the Devil's Bed and Bolster.
Pay no attention to the names,
The names have been given to them by probably Christians in the past that wanted to somehow distance themselves from these pagan sacred places but I went there took my way off the beaten track to find it and was waiting to be blown away by this powerful shimmering energy that supposedly comes off these stones and I didn't really feel anything,
It felt lovely to be there,
It felt as though I had achieved something by finding it,
It wasn't quite on my footpath but the feeling that I had expected which the writer and dowser had experienced of something quite powerful it just didn't,
It wasn't my experience,
It wasn't my experience and yet earlier on in the day I had walked to this beautiful little church called Lullington Church in a community called Lullington and it wasn't on either the Michael or the Mary line and yet I was inspired to go inside the church and as I opened the door and stepped inside I felt as if I was on holy ground,
There was something in the atmosphere that felt truly energizing and I sat down on one of the pews and just allowed the spirit of the place to soak in me,
It was like I was marinating in this spirit of the church and I think that's what I'm seeing today is that whilst the Michael and Mary energy currents are giving me a route to follow,
A path to follow,
A breadcrumb trail to follow,
It's all these unexpected moments that seem to catch me by surprise.
One particular moment was outside St Lawrence Church which is in a place called Road and I went to the church,
It was on a very busy road,
Couldn't get in the door,
It was locked,
So I went into the church yard and just took some photos of the church and could see there was two ladies tending a grave so I just kept to one side and kept private and one of the ladies came over and asked if I'd seen a water tap,
She wanted to clean the gravestone and I said I haven't but take some of my water and she was delighted to take my water bottle and clean the gravestone and I just felt what a gift,
What a gift to be able to connect in that way with another human being.
So I didn't even get in the church and yet there was a magic connection and interaction as a result of me finding the church and I think that's what I'm really open to today is just being open to those magic moments of connection and inspiration and finding them in places that I'm not expecting.
So that's been my reflection today and I've got a few miles left to head towards Trowbridge which is in Wiltshire and I'm going to continue reflecting on that and being open to whatever surprises find their way on my path.
