On the twenty-third day of her pilgrimage, Liz finds spiritual nourishment in Glastonbury as she visits the Tor, the Chalice Well Gardens, and the Abbey. Seeing the many visitors who respectfully explore these sacred sites, she feels a renewed sense of hope—realizing she is not alone in her deep reverence and connection to these places.

Hello and welcome to five minutes in nature with me Liz Scott and here I am on the 23rd day of my pilgrimage not walking so much today but rather being a pilgrim at Glastonbury.

Glastonbury Tor in particular is known to have been a site for pilgrims for I think 10,

000 years so pre-christian it's drawn people to the Tor and as I walk across England following the Michael and Mary energy currents Glastonbury is a really important area for those currents.

This morning I walked up Glastonbury Tor and the energy currents wiggle around the Tor in a way that they don't seem to do anywhere else in the country.

They weave and wiggle around and eventually cross at a node point and then in Chalice Well Gardens at the foot of the Tor which is where I went next.

So imagine I walked up the Tor,

It's really steep,

Blowy at the top but the views from the top are extraordinary.

It's a grey day so it's not clear to see into the far distance but it was extraordinary just to walk around and see.

It's almost like the Somerset Levels and Glastonbury are in the middle of a basin with the hills,

Different hills around the outside of this basin and you could see for miles and miles and then I came down to the foot of the Tor and went into Chalice Well Gardens and the atmosphere there was stunning.

It was moving,

It had the same feeling I had yesterday when I came across that reed bed and I just felt so touched,

Emotionally touched.

Chalice Well Gardens marks the flow of particularly the Mary energy current and there's a well which is rich in iron and the water tumbles down through these gardens which have got cobbled paths,

Winding paths and these little pockets of places for meditation and reflection and I was able just to sip a bit of the water and there's another part of the garden where pilgrims are invited to take off their shoes and their socks and to paddle in the water which I did and there was a node point just above this place where the pilgrims paddle in the water and I just spent some time there but the whole place was infused with energy and my husband who's been a great support on this journey was able to walk around with me today because I wasn't walking from A to B,

I'm just anchoring myself in Glastonbury today and we sat at the Chalice Well which is a round well,

Just the most extraordinary space for reflection and he just said I could feel,

He said I could feel some energy coming up through my feet.

Now this isn't his pilgrimage,

He's not inspired in the same way that I am by the Michael and Mary energy currents and yet he looked at me and said this I felt something,

I did feel something and here I am now at Glastonbury Abbey,

The ruins of the Abbey.

This is said to be the place,

The cradle of Christianity in England and it was a once great,

Great Abbey that attracted pilgrims I would imagine from all over the world and now it's just a ruin and the energy of the Mary current runs up through the Abbey and then there is a node point at the high altar where the Michael and Mary currents cross over and I'm sitting on a bench looking back at the high altar sitting in the Mary current as I speak to you and I think one of the things that's totally inspired me today is to see the number of people who are climbing the tour,

Who are in the Chalice Well garden spending time in deep reverent reflection.

The people here,

There are people just standing by the altar at the and just soaking up the energy.

I feel extraordinary hope when I see this,

It feels as though I might be a lost soul trying to find kindred spirit,

Wondering if I'm the only one that feels this sense of wanting to connect to the land and feel that respect and reverence again for the land and here at Glastonbury I felt kindred spirit,

People that are quietly in their way reconnecting to the land,

Reconnecting to these sacred spots and when I was in the Chalice Well gardens I knew deeply in my heart that if we could just create tiny pockets of love like that,

Like the Chalice Well gardens,

We would go a long way,

A long way to nourishing humans who I feel are quite lost at the moment.

So that's my reflections today from Glastonbury,

It's just been the most heart-warming,

Spirit-filling day.

I feel utterly and utterly nourished.

So glad you were able to spend time in Glastonbury to soak up some of its special atmosphere. The Chalice Well Gardens are, for me, the place where deep healing occurs and I really appreciate spending time there.
