Energetic self-care is such a big topic and so important on a daily basis and especially through these times of Ascension I'm Liz Finlay and I'm going to share some of my tips and what I've been working through on myself so later on in this video I'll share some of the more common daily things that you can do to help yourself but I want to dive in right now into something that I've been experiencing and I know a lot of lightworkers and starseeds have been experiencing and that is exhaustion on a very unusual level now we have been feeling the frequencies from all sorts of different sources whether it's earth itself mother Gaia with the Schumann resonance or whether it's solar flares or you know you name it it's all coming at us and a lot of this is higher vibrational frequencies that are ultimately part of the Ascension process they are a good thing but I think our physical bodies are really struggling with the integration at times and the assimilation of these energies that are coming in and the influx and so quite unusual for me I completely took myself away from work and posting on social media for the whole of the festive season I actually spent a lot of time just resting and you know just doing anything that wasn't too strenuous for my body because I needed that recovery and I needed that time for my body to assimilate everything that has been going on and also rebuild its own strength and energy so that everything that comes from now forward I'm able to better assimilate and acclimatize to because these sorts of frequencies are literally coming in and affecting us at a cellular level a few actually it was probably just more than a year ago I had I experienced a massive influx of light as I think many other light workers did at the time and it essentially fried my circuits because my body was not able to assimilate what had come in and it was actually too much in one go for me and so I know now that it is better to listen to my body and give myself these times of rest when I need it to build up the resources and the capability to accept when they are these influxes of light coming in and incredible energies that are out there and then my body and my energy fields are more capable of utilizing this and changing right down at a cellular level and so I just wanted to offer that up to you because I myself have dealt with a lot of self-judgment I've had just a few people luckily just a few people in my life impose judgment upon me for just laying around essentially I did a lot of that over the festive season but I needed it and every time I had that self-doubt crop up of oh I should be doing this so I should be doing that I just spoke to myself and reminded myself reassured myself then this is what my body needs it's what my energy systems need and it's part of a bigger plan I'm not just you know laying about for the sake of it because I have nothing better to do my body and my energy fields have been hard at work so even though I appear or did appear to just be laying around a lot of time spent on my comfortable couch it served a purpose because there was so much going on beyond what the eyes can see and this is where we need to honor ourselves honor our bodies honor our energy systems and so I'm sharing all of this because I've heard of so many other lightworkers and starseeds who've been experiencing this unusual type of exhaustion and I do actually feel quite sad for these people when they share with me that they are just reaching for coffee or you know anything like that and they're pushing through and look I've had that I'm not a coffee drinker but I have found that the beautiful ceremonial grade cacao that I have does help me on days that I just have to show up I have to be in live in some way or form and that helps me get through but I'm also being very realistic with myself and my body that I cannot be doing that every single day the whole point of this exhaustion is that my body is telling me that I need downtime that she needs downtime and so I need to offer that whenever I possibly can and look I am so blessed to be self-employed there's not a day that goes by that I'm not grateful for that and I realized that there are many of you who possibly aren't self-employed and you're not totally able to take the time off that I was able to gift myself and so just see where you can find moments of filling your cup moments where you have downtime even if it's trying to get to bed even half an hour earlier than what you'd usually go to bed or anything like that maybe a salt bath actually this morning I pulled an oracle card all about a forest and how we can recharge in a forest and it was very realistic in that it it wasn't just saying right you got to go get yourself off to the nearest forest which would be amazing it actually said you can even just gaze at the card and so I took this suggestion and what I did is I went back through a memory and look memories are portals and it was a memory of me standing in a forest I think it was about a year ago just under a year ago and I could picture it I could even hear the birdsong and I just stood there for a moment in my mind's eye in this memory this portal of the memory and I felt my central nervous system calm and I had that deep in-breath and sigh and that's always a sign for me personally that my central nervous system is recalibrating and so you can utilize moments like that even if it's brief just like that and so I also want to offer up to you that you know we all have the innate capabilities of looking after ourselves both both physically and energetically and there's so many of us who are practicing healers and I mean that in terms of offering it up as either a sideline job or you know like me it's my full-time job but I truly believe that it doesn't matter what you do as your day job you are an innate healer you have that ability we all do and we can look after ourselves and in times of need especially when the physical body our vehicle that our soul is using within this lifetime when that physical body goes into a moment of or a time actually I guess you could say a bit of a crisis I know some people don't like using that word but basically when you're unwell you're very much under the weather and I've certainly had this before and some of my friends and colleagues have shared that they've experienced this where they feel that they should just be looking after themselves and it's all up to them now I went to a talk many years ago when I was living in London UK and what was shared in the talk is when you're under the weather like that reach out for help you don't have to do this alone and that's stuck with me and it has been such a valuable thing for me to hold on to and remember in my time of needs and it's essentially a tool in my toolkit that yes as symptoms are coming on I will you know place my hands wherever they need to go and channel that source energy but there are moments when I recognize that that is not serving me enough and I don't have to do this alone I can reach out and so this is where I offer up to you as a suggestion to already have in place people that you can call on for help whether they are friends colleagues or even a group of practitioners that you trust that you can call on in your times of need that it's not that you're already under the weather and now you're trying to scroll through and and find out who you can reach out to have I guess a little directory even if it's three or four people or even one or two that you just know that you can reach out to and get the help you need and so I want to share a little example of this it was a while ago that I was very much under the weather and it was after experiencing some deep heartache and so I knew my physical body was trying to process this heartache and so every single morning I mean I was probably bedridden for about four weeks I was totally ill very much unwell for six weeks I think but every morning I would wake up either already giving healing to my heart chakra in that I'd wake up really hot with the energy channeling through my hands or I would choose to place my hands on my chest and channel that source energy intentionally bringing healing to my heart chakra but there was one morning that I woke up and there was nothing flowing through my hands absolutely nothing and I'm very sensitive I feel that it's like a tap turning on and off and so I knew right this is the moment where I've got to implement reaching out for help and so I reached out to a trusted friend of mine who does remote healing just like I do and she helped me through that and I could feel the energy that she was sending me and it pulled me through back to a point where I could continue with the self healing and so on that note I'd also like to offer up something that you may want to consider contemplate form your own idea on I personally will not put out on social media or into healing groups or anything like that I'm not well please send me healing that just does not align for me it doesn't feel right and I want to share my reasons with you and it is mainly because I've had to become so selective over who accesses my energy fields and that is through receiving a load of intense psychic attack energetic attack over the last few years that I no longer would open myself up to just anyone and look there are people out there who you know just like most of us have pure intentions of wanting to help but you just don't know there's one group where people frequently will even post a picture of themselves saying please send healing and I really hope for their sake that they just receiving pure source energy to help them through but I just think that there is potential for some other stuff to come through that you may not be wanting and so this is why I highly recommend you know trying out whether they friends colleagues practitioners that you get to know of through word-of-mouth or that you search for try them out see who really works well with you your energy fields your ethics your morals your values and you just have them in I guess your phone book in a little note somewhere that you know that you can reach out to them in your time of need rather than posting out for for anyone yeah and now I just like to share a few daily tips that I have found useful and look some of them you probably implementing already it's always good to have a little reminder and so I highly highly recommend that for this energetic self-care I found it so beneficial to do daily grounding and protecting first thing in the morning before I interact with the world before I turn my phone on and my morning routine around the grounding and protecting my process it's ever-evolving and I offer up to you let it be ever-evolving that as you grow as you learn more you bring in what is relevant for that point in time for you so my process now is very different to my process even a year ago and definitely different from five years ago and if you're wanting some guidance I have two free tracks on my channel one is invoking energetic protection it's under 15 minutes to start your day and the other one is dream state protection to end your day getting ready for sleep both of them are higher light decrees and you are very welcome to use those as a base that you cherry-pick what you like you can weave in your own intuition and what you're feeling is right for you in the moment you can weave in any ideas you get from anyone else and you form your own process that you work with or you're welcome to just press play and the other top tip that I would give you is cord cutting and I check in on a daily basis some key players in my life where cords are likely to try and reform I have a free track on my channel cord cutting meditation I also have a free podcast why cords reappear which I think are important and it's checking in with these sorts of things where you can nip things in the bud so before any kind of energetic attack or energetic siphoning can really gain traction you're already on to it you're already dealing with it and that can really help you sustain your own energetic protection and on that note boundaries now this is I know not many people think of it as energetic protection but honestly implementing your boundaries with the people in your life is a major part of energetic protection because as people are testing your boundaries and even bulldozing through your boundaries they have already been on some level energetically attacking you and so this is why I highly highly recommend just checking in implementing layers of protection between you and them and yeah just know your boundaries get firm and implement them gain the courage to implement them I thought I was hot on my boundaries I definitely was not and the past few years and especially the last year has really given me a kick to get very clear on what my boundaries are and how to gracefully implement them I don't have to be mean or anything like that but it's finding ways that I can assert them in a calm confident way and remove myself from situations where my boundaries are not being respected or they being tested beyond what is okay and also just removing myself from situations that are energy drains so on that note I hope
