You're listening to the Motherhood to Unstress podcast,
And I'm your host Liz Carlyle.
Thank you so much for joining me for this New Year meditation,
Where we can start fresh and let go of anything that didn't serve us,
Except for maybe the lessons over the past year.
Take a moment to get into a comfortable seated position,
Or you can lie flat on your back.
Close your eyes,
Take a deep breath in through your nose,
And exhale slowly through your mouth.
Take another deep breath in,
And exhale through your mouth.
One more deep breath in,
And let everything go.
Turn to a gentle rhythmic breathing.
Your breath should be moving from your shoulders and chest down into your belly.
The more relaxed you become,
The more you notice your shoulders relaxing away from your ears,
The tension that you hold in your hips melting away.
You notice that you might have been holding your breath more than you realized.
Let all of that go.
You're safe right now,
In this moment.
And as you sit here in this present moment,
Allow yourself to let go of any stress or worries from the past year.
Take notice of them,
But as you notice them,
Let them drift away like clouds in the sky as you focus on the present.
Imagine yourself standing at the threshold of this next new year.
Take a moment to reflect on what you want to bring into your life.
What goals or intentions do you have for yourself?
As you start to visualize these things,
To see them,
Allow yourself to feel a sense of excitement and possibility.
Now bring your mind to any areas of your life that might need some healing or transformation.
Maybe it's a relationship,
A habit,
Or simply a belief,
Which is just a thought that we keep thinking.
Imagine yourself taking small steps towards healing and growth in these areas.
As you begin this new year,
Remember to be kind and compassionate towards yourself.
It's okay to make mistakes.
It's okay to take things slow and to ask for help when you need it.
Take a few more deep breaths,
And when you're ready,
Slowly open your eyes.
It's my wish that this new year brings you joy,
Growth,
And abundance.
Until next time,
Namaste.
