You are listening to the Motherhood Unstressed Podcast.

I'm your host Liz Carlisle.

Thank you so much for pressing play,

For taking this sacred time for yourself,

For your sanity,

For your happiness.

So many people wish they could turn down the volume of the world around them without knowing that they really do have that power as long as they can come to their mat,

To their cushion,

And get settled.

So let's get started.

I want you to focus now on your breathing.

If you've been doing meditations with me for a while,

You know we always start there because the breath is the most powerful force for connecting the ethereal to the physical and connecting the physical to the ethereal.

When we focus on our breathing,

We get a glimpse of how connected we are to the world around us,

To our animal bodies,

And to something greater,

Untouchable,

But still there.

Feel the sensation of your breath coming in and going out.

With every breath,

Work at letting go of tension,

Letting go of attachment,

Letting go to stress.

Understand that life is never perfect.

Sometimes it's easy,

But I bet there's not a day that goes by where you're not faced with something,

Some challenge,

Some problem,

Some anxiety.

But in these next few minutes,

Those can't touch you.

And as you keep breathing,

You release their power,

Their power over your happiness,

Their power over your mind.

With every breath,

You send your worries,

Your tension away.

So keep breathing.

Keep detoxing.

Keep feeling lighter with every breath as you detach from the negative.

I want you to imagine now one of your favorite places in the world.

Maybe it's somewhere where you vacation or a place you visited only once,

But while you were there,

You felt like every moment was pure magic.

You felt light there.

You felt potential there.

You felt every part of your vibration.

It was in alignment with your environment.

Think of that place now.

Visualize yourself there in that time and place.

Truly embody that experience as if it were in the now.

What does it look like?

What are you doing?

Who's with you?

How do you feel?

The truth is your body doesn't know the difference.

The conjuring of your mind is making it a reality.

So keep enjoying your vacation,

Your time travel,

And for the next minute,

Bring in more details.

Bring in more tastes and smells and sensations from this perfect place that you are now in.

I'll be walking down the beach and bring you back when it's time.

Come back to now.

Come back into your body.

But one thing I don't want you to do is to let go of that feeling of peace and happiness that you were just feeling.

That sense of calm and belonging and magic.

Keep that in your heart.

Keep that in the back of your mind.

You can wiggle your fingers and toes.

Take a deep breath with me now.

Hold and let it all go.
