Today’s episode is your gentle invitation to pause, breathe, and reset. In just 10 minutes, this guided meditation will help you release built-up tension, return to your body, and reconnect with your inner calm. Whether you’re navigating a busy workday, recovering from a tough moment, or simply needing to catch your breath—this space is for you. No pressure, no expectations—just an opportunity to feel a little more grounded, a little more clear, and a lot more you. What you’ll experience in this meditation: calming breathwork to regulate the nervous system, simple body scanning for deep physical relaxation, gentle affirmations to quiet the mind and open the heart, and a moment of stillness to return to center. How to prepare: find a quiet space where you can be uninterrupted for 10 minutes, sit or lie down comfortably, close your eyes or soften your gaze, and allow yourself to fully arrive in this moment.

You're listening to the Motherhood to Unstress podcast,

And I'm your host,

Liz Carlisle.

Thank you so much for taking the time for yourself,

For getting still with intention so that future you is more at peace,

Less stressed,

And more present with everyone that you love.

This is your time,

A gentle pause that you've created for yourself,

A space to release the weight you've been carrying and come back to who you really are.

Find a comfortable position.

You can sit with your legs crossed or lie flat on your back.

Let your hands rest softly.

Release your tongue from the roof of your mouth,

And let your body feel supported by the ground beneath you.

If you haven't already,

Gently close your eyes or just soften your gaze.

Begin to bring your attention to your breath.

Let's take a deep breath in together through the nose for a count of four.

Again,

Deep breath in.

One more together,

Deep breath in.

Now bring your breath back to a natural rhythm.

No effort,

No control.

Just breathing in and out in a manner that feels good to you.

And with each breath,

Let it be a message to your body that it's safe to relax,

That you are held in this moment.

Bring your attention to the crown of your head and gently scan down,

Down,

Releasing tension with every breath.

With every breath,

Soften further,

Releasing any stress or worry that you've been holding on to this week,

Or this month,

This year.

With every breath,

Remind yourself how safe you truly are.

Keep bringing your attention down your neck,

Your shoulders.

Let them drop a little heavier as if you're getting a massage right now.

Let everything go.

Past your chest,

To your belly,

Your second brain.

Bring peace.

Just bring it back to your breath.

I'm going to say three affirmations before I leave you.

When you come to your breath fully,

You can repeat them in your mind or simply let them wash over you.

With each breath,

I soften and release.

It's safe to let go.

I am present,

Solid,

And at ease.

Peace lives within me.

It is me.

I choose to return to it now and forever.

Now,

Just you and your breath.

No pressure.

Rest in the stillness in the affirmations you just heard.

And when it's time to come out,

I'll let you.

Notice the feeling of the air on your skin.

Begin to move your fingers and toes.

Take a deep breath in with me.

And let everything go.

You can stay here for as long as you like.

Rest further.

If you're ready to drift off to sleep or start your day,

You can do that as well.

Thank you again for giving yourself the gift of presence,

Of peace.

Let it flow into the rest of your day,

Into your very existence.

Thank you for taking this time.

You're worth it.

Always.

Until next time,

Namaste.

Wonderful. I like being give space near the end to be quiet. One thing…mic to close to the mouth. Kind of smacky.

The meditation was like receiving a relaxing massage that I didn’t want to end. I have bookmarked several more of Liz’s tracks and look forward to more time under her gentle guidance. With love and gratitude.
