Hello my adventure telling friends,

I am Little Red Riding Hood and I'm off to see,

Who everybody?

That's right,

Grandma Ma.

Oh I love her so much.

I can't wait to see her.

But I've got some strict instructions children,

Which is I must stay on the path at all times,

Which is a shame because there's such beautiful flowers in the deep dark wood,

Where Grandma Ma lives,

In her lovely cottage.

So stay on the path.

No talking to big smelly silly bad wolves.

Not that I think wolves exist.

Oh,

Mummy's so funny.

And that,

If I see the woodcutter,

To give him a big wave and to give him one piece of the chocolate cake that my mama,

Darling,

Dearest,

Wants me to take to Grandma.

So I've got four pieces of this chocolate cake.

One,

Two,

Three,

Four.

Sorry Hannah,

None for you.

Because if one's for the woodcutter,

That makes three.

And then there's one piece for Grandma,

That makes two.

What's that Hannah?

Yes,

And if there's two,

There's one for me and one for you.

Yes,

Of course there's two pieces here,

But I'm not very good at sharing.

So two pieces for me.

Right children,

We better get going because it will soon be dark and I don't want to come home in the dark.

Let's go.

So little red riding hood goes skipping off into the woods.

Got somewhere else in the woods.

Something is lurking.

Hello children.

I'm the big bad smelly wolf.

And I am starving.

I'm so hungry.

Oh,

I'm looking for something to eat.

Oh,

You're a nice,

Clever,

Hey children.

What do you mean no?

Who's that skipping through the woods?

Oh,

It's little red riding hood.

Yes.

I'm going to gobble her up for my dinner.

Oh,

Maybe I could just sneak up behind her.

Sneak,

Sneak,

Sneak,

Sneak,

Sneak,

Sneak,

Sneak.

Oh,

I think she see me.

I better hide behind a tree.

Don't give me away now children.

While the wolf is hiding behind a tree,

Little red riding hood is looking for Derek the woodcutter.

Derek,

Are you around?

La la la la la la.

We're in the deep dark woods.

And we're staying on the past just as we should.

Just like Mumma told us to.

Now,

Somewhere around here there should be Derek the woodcutter because I can see all the wood chips on the ground.

Can you call him with me?

Derek.

Derek.

Maybe he's behind me.

If you see him,

Do let me know,

Okay?

Derek.

I'll look over by these trees here.

These lovely sparkly fairy ones.

Derek.

Derek.

Derek.

Oh,

Derek.

There you are.

Well done children.

Thank you for telling me.

Oh,

Yes.

Derek has been hard at work today because there's his axe.

Well,

Derek,

We thought we would come along and see you with a piece of chocolate cake as we make our way to Grandma Ma.

What's that?

Oh,

Yes.

Just one piece of chocolate cake.

I have four pieces.

You get one.

I get two.

And Granny has one.

It's just how it is.

It's what Mama said,

Didn't she everybody?

Anyway,

Derek,

I've got your lovely chocolate cake.

You can have it when you next have a break.

What's that?

Oh,

I've got to be careful,

Have I?

This nonsense of a big bad smelly wolf is so silly.

What was that sound?

I'm sure it's nothing.

Just the wind,

Derek.

Oh,

Everybody here's so sensitive.

Anyway,

We better get going.

I'll leave the chocolate cake for you just on the side.

Bye bye for now.

Little Red Riding Hood skips off towards her Grandma's house.

But the wolf,

Do you remember?

He's hiding behind a tree and he heard her and Derek's horrible conversation.

I think he has an idea.

Oh,

Hello again,

Children.

I've been keeping a close eye on Little Red Riding Hood and I've listened in and I hear that she's off to her Grandma's house.

Great.

That means if I go ahead of Little Red Riding Hood,

I will go to her Grandma's house and put Grandma in the cupboard.

Yeah.

Tress up like Grandma and trick Little Red Riding Hood when she comes through the door and I will eat that chocolate cake.

Yeah.

And maybe,

Maybe,

Depends how I'm feeling,

I might eat Little Red Riding Hood.

But I do prefer dessert,

Don't you?

Yeah.

I'd rather have dessert over a main course any day.

Oh,

Right.

There she goes.

She's setting off Little Red Riding Hood.

Now,

Hopefully she'll get distracted by the flowers and that would give me just a little bit more time to dress up like Grandma.

Don't you tell on me.

Little Red Riding Hood is thinking about stopping to smell the flowers.

Oh,

I'm so happy.

I can't wait to see Grandma.

I've got my lovely chocolate cake.

And I'm going to have two slices.

Grandma's going to have one and,

Well,

The woodcutter's already had his.

So I've got three pieces left.

But I know Mama said I should give cake.

It's just,

Have you seen the flowers,

Children?

I would love to take dear old Grandma a lovely bunch of flowers.

Oh,

There's yellows.

There's reds.

Oh,

I like the sunflowers and the carnations and the red roses.

But,

Children,

It would mean coming off the path.

That's right.

Coming off the path to get them.

So how about I reach?

That means I'm not coming off the path.

No.

It just means I'm reaching and I'm sure I can reach over without coming off the path and I can get some flowers.

Right.

Ready?

So let's stretch together.

Give me a stretch.

Reach,

Reach,

Reach.

Oh,

It's just a whisker away.

Let's try again.

Right.

Maybe you could hold my leg.

You hold my leg.

You hold my leg.

And by that you can steady me and I can reach a bit further.

Oh,

It's not working.

What if I was to come off the path?

I know,

I know.

Just come off the path.

Just for a minute.

Just for a minute.

Just to get the flowers.

I know I promised Mama but I'm not coming off the path entirely.

I'm just stepping off and then stepping back onto the path.

Yeah?

You think a minute is too long.

That's 60 seconds,

You know.

What?

Oh,

10 seconds?

That's no time at all.

The second I put my foot down,

I'll have to take it back.

10 seconds is no time at all.

Can you give me 20 seconds?

Yeah,

20 seconds.

You can?

Great.

Well,

The minute I jump off the path,

You can start counting down from 20.

Right.

Hannah,

I'm sure will help you.

Here goes.

Ready?

20,

19,

18,

17.

Oh,

You started counting already.

No.

Rewind.

Yes.

17,

18,

19,

20.

Thank you very much.

Maybe we should have,

What do you think Hannah?

On your marks,

Get set,

Go.

Yes.

Good idea.

Good.

Hannah agrees.

Right then,

We'll leave Hannah to do on your marks.

Okay?

On your marks,

Get set,

Go.

Go.

Okay,

I'm jumping.

20,

19,

18,

17,

16,

15,

14,

13,

12,

11.

Slow down.

Slow down.

10.

You've made me all a fluster that I've taken one of the heads off the stems.

Oh,

I'm sure we can fix that.

8.

Oh,

The wizard's got one.

Thank you.

7.

Oh,

6.

We've got one here in the enchanted tree.

5.

Oh,

The sunflowers.

Beautiful.

4.

How many have I got?

Two sunflowers.

3.

Any more?

2.

You know what?

You're now almost at one.

I think I'll leave it.

Let's stop.

That was lucky.

Great.

I've got some lovely flowers.

Let's breathe them in.

Take a deep breath.

Oh,

Hold still.

Hold still.

There's one right here.

Oh,

And I wouldn't have had to get off the path for that flower.

Never mind.

From now on though,

We'll stay to the path.

We won't come off.

Nope,

We won't.

And we haven't got that far to go.

So can you join me?

Let's skip,

Skip,

Skip,

Skip.

Roses are red,

Violets are blue.

Oh,

I absolutely love you,

Grandma.

The wolf runs off as fast as he can towards Grandma's house.

Will he get there before Little Red Riding Hood?

Ah,

Here I am,

Kids.

I've made it to Grandma's house.

And the coast is clear.

I'll just double check.

Just check.

Yes.

The coast is clear.

Nobody saw me come here.

Except you,

Of course.

Don't you dare tell anyone.

Right,

Where's the doorbell?

Oh,

And I better practice my voice.

I've got to sound like Little Red Riding Hood.

Maybe I should do a bit of a warm-up.

Should we do a scale?

There we go.

Not a snake scale.

Oh,

What you lot like.

Here we go.

Not so good,

Eh?

Now my breath.

Knock,

Knock,

Knock.

Grandma,

It's your favourite grandchild.

Oh,

I am a favourite grandchild.

Mind you,

I don't think this.

A little blue or a little blue hood,

Yeah,

Or a little orange hood.

No,

I think it's just a little red riding hood.

It's your favourite granddaughter here.

Yes.

I've come to see you.

What's that?

What?

Pull the puppet and the lights will go off.

All right then,

Here we go.

So it does.

Right.

Oh,

Hello,

Children.

Oh,

Yes,

I'm grandmama.

Just look at you over my glasses.

Hello.

I'm waiting for Little Red Riding Hood.

She's got some lovely chocolate cake for me.

I hope that Derek hasn't taken too much.

Oh,

Is that her now?

Yes.

I just,

Yeah,

Definitely.

I might.

My hearing's not as it used to be.

I'm sure that's the door.

Little Red Riding Hood.

Pull the puppet.

That's right,

Darling.

And the latch will go up.

It's automatic.

Yes.

And then make your way upstairs.

I'm in bed.

I've got a bit of a headache.

Oh,

That's it.

Oh,

Little Red Riding Hood.

My darling,

My favourite grandchild.

My only grandchild.

Why aren't you in that lovely red cape that I got for you?

What?

Do you not like red anymore?

Oh,

You don't?

Oh,

Darling,

I'm so sorry.

I've been making you wear that red cape all this time.

Oh,

Will you forgive me?

Oh,

You will.

You don't seem to be saying anything today,

Children.

You're quite all right.

Oh,

You're not saying a thing.

It's not like you.

You've always got something to tell me.

Maybe you've got a sore throat.

Is that right?

Oh,

It is.

OK,

Well,

I'll just go into the bathroom in my little pharmaceutical cabinet and I'll get you something,

A nice little sucky sweet for that throat and we'll get you chattering away.

Just two here.

Right,

This is my chance.

Don't give me away now,

Children.

Yeah,

I am going to eat her.

OK,

Then I won't.

I'll just throw her in a cupboard.

Oh,

She's coming back.

I've got something for you,

But it's right at the back.

You'll have to help me.

You'll give me a really good lift up,

Could you?

Oh,

You don't have to be don't have to be quite so heavy handed.

Right,

Time to dress up.

Love dressing up.

The wolf has pushed Grandma into the cupboard and has started dressing up as her.

Oh,

In little Red Riding Hood,

She's just arrived at the front door.

Grandma.

Grandma.

Ding,

Ding,

Ding,

Ding,

Ding.

Grandma.

Bang,

Bang,

Bang,

Bang,

Bang.

Grandma,

It's your favourite granddaughter.

No,

It's your only granddaughter.

It's your only grandchild.

Anyway,

I'm outside.

I'm waiting to come in.

I've got you some lovely chocolate cake.

Yes,

Derek didn't take all of it.

What's that?

Pull the bobbin and the latch will go up.

OK,

Then.

Can you pull with me?

Pull.

Oh,

And the latch has gone up.

Where are you,

Grandma?

You're upstairs.

Oh,

Grandma,

You're quite all right.

Oh,

Grandma,

I've got you some chocolate cake.

Yes.

Do you want to have a sip?

All right,

Calm down.

Do you like that?

All right,

We'll have it with a cup of tea in a minute.

Grandma,

What great big curly hair you've got.

You've done a really great job of that.

Grandma,

What's this in amongst your hair?

What big grey ears you've got.

Oh,

The better.

To what?

To hear you,

My dear.

Yes,

Your hearing is pretty bad at the moment,

Isn't it,

Grandma?

Grandma,

What big eyes you've got.

Oh,

Yes,

Yes,

It's my eyes.

It's just the way that the light is.

Oh,

It's made my pupils look really big.

They're sparkling.

They're lovely.

They're dotting about quite a bit.

Oh,

Grandma,

What a lovely big white nose you've got.

Oh,

The better.

To smell your lovely chocolate cake.

Grandma,

What great big teeth you've got.

Oh,

All the better.

You haven't got your hair.

All the better.

Your glasses have come off.

All the better.

Oh,

My goodness.

This isn't really your stuff.

Let me finish my sentence.

All the better to eat you with.

Oh,

That doesn't mean no.

Just as the wolf was about to eat the chocolate cake and Little Red Riding Hood,

Derek the Woodcutter burst in.

Phew,

It's the Woodcutter with the smallest axe in the whole wide world.

Anything will do at this point.

And the Woodcutter can chase you away,

You horrible big bad spelly wolf.

Oh,

All I wanted was that chocolate cake.

Oh,

You should have said.

You know what?

I could share my chocolate cake with you.

It's a bit selfish having two pieces.

My Jew.

Where's Granny?

She's what?

In the cupboard.

In the cupboard.

In the cupboard.

Well,

If we keep her in the cupboard,

I will get two pieces.

After all.

Come on,

Let's go have our lovely chocolate cake.

I will go get Granny in about half an hour.

So Little Red Riding Hood,

Derek the Woodcutter and the big bad wolf all sat down for some tea and cake.

Don't worry,

Children.

They did get Grandma out of the cupboard and Grandma had the last piece of chocolate cake.

And that's the story of Little Red Riding Hood.

Thank you for joining us.

See you next time.

Bye.
