My dear soul,
Welcome to this evening meditation for body and mind relaxation.
Its purpose is to nurture your body,
Put your mind at ease,
And uplift your spirit after a long day of busyness.
My name is Lisa Watley,
Thank you for joining me.
And now,
Close your eyes,
And take a deep,
Cleansing breath in through your nose,
Allowing your chest and abdomen to rise,
Hold it for a moment,
And now exhale slowly,
Letting go of any tension or stress from the day.
And again,
Take another deep breath in,
Hold,
And exhale.
Now let your breath settle into a natural rhythm,
Inhaling and exhaling effortlessly.
As you become more present in your inner world,
Release all tension now,
And invite tranquility into your being.
As you settle into this moment,
Bring your awareness to your body,
Imagine yourself enveloped in a cocoon of serene,
Warm,
White light,
And,
With each inhalation,
Feel this healing light entering your body.
And with each exhalation,
Release any residual tension or unease,
And whisper to yourself,
With each breath,
I let go of stress,
And embrace peace.
And now,
Let's begin to scan your body,
Move your attention to your head,
Imagine the warm,
Healing light starting at the crown of your head,
Gently moving down through your forehead,
Easing away any furrows or creases,
Feel your temples and jaw relaxing,
Releasing the grip of the day.
I release all tension,
Allowing every muscle to relax.
This soothing light travels down your neck,
Melting away any tightness,
And feel the light spreading across your shoulders,
Like a gentle massage,
Softening the muscles,
Letting go of resistance,
And surrendering to relaxation.
I am safe.
I allow my body and mind to unwind.
As you breathe,
Visualize this light flowing down your arms,
All the way to your fingertips,
Loosening any residual tension,
And leaving a sense of tranquility.
I am at ease,
And I let the worries of the day completely melt away.
Now,
Move your awareness to your chest area,
Picture the healing light expanding as it moves through your chest,
Warming and relaxing your heart space.
With each breath,
Feel your heart beating calmly,
Radiating peace throughout your being.
Now,
Sense the light sinking deeper,
Softening your belly with its soothing touch.
Let go of any worries or stress stored in this area.
As the light dissolves them away,
I create space for stillness and serenity in my life.
Continue the journey of relaxation to your hips and pelvis,
Envision the warm light spreading through this region,
Releasing any tightness or discomfort.
Allow the light to create a sensation of gentle rocking,
As if cradling you in serenity.
Now,
Bring your awareness to your legs,
Feel the healing light flowing down your thighs,
Knees,
Calves,
And shins,
All the way to your feet.
Imagine the light seeping into your muscles and bones,
Soothing and unwinding them.
Notice how your feet become grounded and connected with the calming energy of the earth.
Take a few moments to breathe deeply,
Absorbing the sensation of your entire body being enveloped in this healing light.
Your body is now a canvas of relaxation,
Your mind a tranquil lake.
Feel the unity of body and mind as you continue to breathe,
Each breath a reminder of the calm that resides within you.
And now,
Gently,
Let your awareness trickle back into the room.
Feel the support of the ground beneath you,
And the gentle caress of the air around you.
Inhale deeply,
Grounding yourself in this present moment.
Wiggle your fingers and toes,
And open your eyes,
Carrying this sense of relaxation and peace with you into the rest of your evening.
May your body be nurtured,
Your mind be at ease,
And your spirit be uplifted.
And when your spirit calls for reconnection and relaxation,
I welcome you back to this space.
