Do you have a negative or fear-based voice that you want to release from your mind? Use this meditation to move from your head to your heart, from the ego’s perceptions to spiritual truth. Be aware of this small voice, acknowledge it, and drop down to your heart. You can listen to the voice of love. Receive the messages God wants you to hear as you join with the holy light where you can trust and let go.

Begin by turning your awareness inward,

Towards your breath.

Take a deep breath,

And as you exhale,

Just let go and sink down into the chair or the floor and relax.

Breathing in again deeply and slowly.

And breathe out deeply and slowly,

Just letting the body relax and let go.

So as you breathe in,

You know you're breathing in,

And as you breathe out,

You know you're breathing out.

In and out.

Turning towards the spirit that breathes through you,

Breath by breath,

Moment by moment.

Putting a hand against the diaphragm,

The belly where you can feel your breath as it breathes through you.

Feeling the rise and fall of your hand as you breathe in and breathe out.

Connecting to your truest self,

Your spirit,

Your God-self,

Your highest self.

The place beyond your egoic mind,

Beyond thoughts.

You're breathing into the true reality of peace and love,

Which is all that truly matters in this world and in the next.

So knowing that our mind can be filled with thoughts constantly,

Often thoughts that are judging,

Fear-based,

That provoke anxiety inside us and anger and frustrations,

The voice of the mind,

The voice of the ego,

The voice of fear.

And so we take this time to be aware of that voice,

Acknowledge its presence within our mind,

But commit to dropping down into our heart and listening to the voice of love.

Receiving the messages that God wants us to hear,

Becoming one mind with the voice of the holiest light,

Where we know we can trust and let go.

Placing a hand now at your heart,

Feeling yourself breathing through the heart,

Breath by breath,

Opening the heart,

Dropping in to this loving presence within you.

You might say the word love several times as a mantra into your heart,

With the focus of hearing the true message of God,

Of the Holy Spirit,

The message that will help you get through the upheaval in the world,

The difficult times in your own life.

Opening your heart to this voice,

This beautiful symphony that speaks only in words filled with grace and acceptance.

And so the first thing is to accept the fear that you have,

Accept the ego's perspective on things.

So identifying one challenge in this moment,

One situation where you're struggling,

Or maybe you physically feel pain or illness,

And just place it into your heart.

Acknowledge the situation as it is,

Without labeling it as right or wrong,

Good or bad.

Breathe in and out of the heart as you hold the situation,

The challenge or the pain,

Hold it in love.

And notice what is the ego self-talk,

What is the negative voice saying about the challenge or situation?

For instance,

This is bad,

This shouldn't be happening.

Whatever it is,

Take a moment to be aware of it and place that in your heart and hold it there in a space of love and compassion.

Breathe into it.

And say to it,

I'm with you,

I know you feel this way,

I understand,

I hear you.

Repeat those phrases after I do,

I hear you,

I know you feel this way,

I understand.

It's okay.

Just simple acknowledgement of the fear,

The voice that creates an unpleasant feeling for you.

And then whatever the unpleasant feeling might be,

Sadness,

Anger,

Frustration,

Resentment,

Hostility,

Shame,

Doubt,

Anxiety,

Whatever it is,

It's all from fear.

Hold that in your heart,

Hold the feeling and really honor the feeling by saying to it,

I know you feel this way,

I'm with you,

I'm here,

I understand,

You feel this way.

Acknowledging whatever is there for you right now.

No resistance,

No thinking about it,

Just being with it in the heart.

Letting love soothe and wash over it.

Keep breathing in and out of the heart as you acknowledge your fears.

Love your fears,

Love your ego.

It needs healing through love.

Notice how you feel right now.

So you feel your hand against your heart.

As you've talked to this fear,

This feeling,

This ego voice,

Notice what's happening for you.

Do you feel different?

Do you feel lighter?

And if you have more unpleasant feelings,

I would work with those again.

Come back to those on your own and work with them until they feel lighter.

The key is to feel the light,

To feel a lightness,

A relief from fear.

Breathing in and out of the heart some more,

Grounding yourself in your spirit,

In the light.

Imagining the light pouring into your heart as if pouring down like a moonbeam or a sunray or a bright star in the universe shining into your heart.

As you consult with the voice of love,

The voice of spirit,

The voice of God,

What does it want to say about your challenge,

Your situation,

Your physical pain or illness?

What does it want to say about the upheaval you see around you in the world,

The changes?

So bringing whatever it is into your heart that you were working with before,

And gently ask the question,

What does love say?

What do I imagine love would say to me right now?

What would give me relief or support,

Nurturing,

Empowerment,

Encouragement?

What does love say about my challenge right now?

It may be helpful to open your eyes and write down in a journal what you're hearing or if you're not hearing anything.

Maybe you'll see something,

A vision,

Or if you start writing,

It may just come to you what love would say,

What God would say,

What the spirit wants to tell you right now.

But love always says,

I'm with you.

I'm here.

I love you.

You've got this.

It's all working out.

All is well.

You have the peace you need inside you right now.

Go through the clouds of the darkness.

Push them aside in your mind and see the light on the other side and go sit in that,

For that is the truth of who you are and what you see.

Everything is light.

Everything is love.

This is all you really need to know.

And the world around you needs your love,

Your light,

Your forgiveness.

And you need your light,

Your love,

And your forgiveness.

So breathe all those qualities into your heart,

Taking them with you as you go through your day,

As you go through your week.

And be blessed and bless all that you see.
