All right,
So just settling in.
Yeah,
Settling into your spot.
And,
You know,
There really isn't a right way to do rest or a right way to be positioned here.
So however you are,
If you listen to this later,
You can be listening even when you're standing or walking or doing the dishes.
It doesn't,
You know,
It's really adaptable.
We can take things from these recordings in different environments,
But now we'll just come to the environment that you are in here and just consciously bringing your attention to this environment,
The one that you're in just now,
The chair that you're upon or the couch that you're upon,
The way that what you're resting upon is meeting the body,
Probably the back of the body.
Might be the full length of the body from head to toes or it might be just a certain component.
But,
Yeah,
Just noticing that space behind the head,
Whatever happens to be there,
Whether it's a pillow or just space.
If you if there is something behind the head,
Just letting the head be heavy,
The pillow or whatever your head is connected to will will catch it,
Will hold it,
Hold the full weight.
So letting that head must be received by whatever is behind it.
Maybe there's something supporting the neck and maybe not.
So either way just continuing to notice the space of support behind the body,
Maybe into the shoulders.
Maybe it's the mid-back,
Wherever your body finds that support behind it in a concrete way,
Just letting the nervous system register that that support.
Letting the nervous system acknowledge consciously that there is something that's supporting the body in a practical way here,
The chair,
The couch,
The bed,
Whatever.
And your body can feel that,
Your bones,
Your muscles,
Your skin can feel the contact there just in a factual way.
Feeling the body press into the object that you're upon.
This is just gravity,
The weight of the body pressing into whatever is beneath it is happening because of gravity.
Letting the body just succumb to that field of gravity as the chair,
Pillow,
Whatever catches catches the body's form.
Holds the bones and holds the structure of arms,
Back,
Head,
Shoulders,
Kind of this upper part of the body.
The chair or whatever you're upon will also be catching the inhalation and the exhalation of the breath.
It will be holding the body through that breathing process.
So you might feel that in a pretty concrete way through the ribs of the body or whatnot.
