I'm Lisa Marie.
I'll be guiding you through this meditation today.
Begin by finding a comfortable position,
Lying down or seated,
And turn off any possible distractions.
Close your eyes and bring your awareness to your breath.
Just notice it.
And now I invite you to begin to slow your breath down.
Place your hands on your abdomen and as you breathe in,
Feel your abdomen expand fully.
Inhaling through your nostrils slowly.
Pause,
Then slowly release out through your nose as you lower your abdomen back down.
Continue with this.
Be aware of distractions.
These are normal,
So just becoming aware will help you to stay present.
And if you notice any distractions,
Just return to your breath.
As you inhale now,
I invite you to count to five.
And as you exhale,
Also count to five.
Can you slow your breath down?
And as you count,
Can you count any slower in your mind's eye?
Or maybe counting to a higher number.
Perhaps six,
Seven,
Eight,
Nine,
Ten.
Can you relax your shoulders more?
Breathing in calm.
Breathing out anything you're ready to release.
As you continue to breathe deeply,
Imagine the past year gently fading into the background.
All the lessons,
The challenges,
The difficult moments.
You don't need to analyze them.
Simply acknowledge them.
You've come through a lot.
And you're still here.
Maybe take a sigh as you feel this heaviness releasing away.
Now bring your awareness to the present moment.
To this new chapter.
This fresh beginning.
With every deep breath,
Feel yourself becoming more grounded.
More connected to your body.
More connected to your inner strength.
Now in your mind,
Picture yourself standing tall,
Strong,
Calm,
Rooted.
Imagine your feet firmly connected to the ground beneath you.
Imagine roots growing from the soles of your feet down into the earth.
Supporting you.
Holding you steady.
You are safe.
You are supported.
And from this grounded place,
Gently bring your attention to your heart space.
Maybe you wish to place your hands there.
Now take a few big slow breaths into your heart.
And feel your lungs and your chest expand fully.
Maybe take a sigh as you exhale.
This year you are no longer giving your energy away to things that drain you.
You are no longer shrinking yourself to fit into spaces that no longer align.
You are choosing yourself.
In your mind's eye,
Repeat after me.
I choose to take my power back.
Feel those words land in your body.
I choose to walk forward with strength and clarity.
I choose to be brave even when it feels uncomfortable.
I choose to take bold steps forward,
Trusting myself and my path.
I'm going to repeat one more time.
I choose to take back my power.
I choose to walk forward with strength and clarity.

Take a moment to breathe deeply into your abdomen and chest.
Feel your confidence beginning to rise.
Imagine yourself starting to walk forward now with purpose and positivity.
You are writing a new chapter of your book and you are in control.
You are leaving behind old patterns and stories that no longer serve you.
Continue to breathe deeply and slowly.
In your mind's eye,
Repeat after me.

I honour who I have been.
And I step fully into who I am becoming.
Feel the strength in these words.

Bring your awareness back to your breath.
Slow,
Deep and nourishing.
With every inhale,
Imagine drawing in confidence,
Clarity and self-belief.
With every exhale,
Release doubt,

I protect my peace.
I trust myself.
I honour my needs.
And I move forward with courage and confidence.

Take a deep breath in and out and repeat.
When you're ready,
Begin to bring your awareness back to the room.

Maybe wiggle your fingers and your toes.
Perhaps move your head a little side to side.

Slowly open your eyes.

You can come back here whenever you need to.
