Menopause can be a daunting event. A daily practice of meditation and breath work can help you decrease anxiety, decrease mood swings, hot flashes, depression, and brain fog, and improve sleep and irritability, with grace and ease. Menopause is a time of renewal and empowerment. Celebrate it.

Namaste.

Welcome to this meditation.

My name is Lisa.

Menopause can be a daunting life event.

A daily practice of meditation and breath work can help you decrease anxiety,

Decrease mood swings,

Hot flashes,

Depression,

Brain fog,

And improve sleep and irritability with grace and ease.

I invite you to do this meditation either lying down or sitting.

Place your hands on the tops of your knees with your palms facing down or you can place your hands at your side with your palms facing down.

Take a deep breath in through your nose and as you exhale slowly and softly close your eyes.

Relax your fingers and your toes.

Relax your shoulders.

Relax that space behind your ears and soften the expression on your forehead.

Take a moment to observe how you show up.

Take a moment to observe your inner landscape.

Take another deep breath in noticing the cool breeze coming into your nose and as you exhale noticing the warmth of your breath.

Inhale,

Expand the belly,

The ribcage,

And the chest and exhale fully and completely letting go of any additional stress or tension you may be feeling or holding in your body.

A mantra is a word or sound that if repeated can aid in concentration and facilitate a shift in body or mind.

For example,

If you're having a hot flash take a deep breath in and as you exhale say to yourself or say out loud the mantra,

Thank you for this cool breeze that washes over me.

Thank you for this cool breeze that washes over me.

A mantra that could aid in brain fog or mood swings might be I am at peace with my body and my mind.

I am at peace with my body and my mind.

Take another deep breath in and exhale fully and completely.

During this life event,

This celebration,

This time of transition called menopause,

Give yourself permission to create space for daily meditation and breathwork.

Allow yourself to fully experience all of the emotions you are feeling at this time without judgment or expectation.

Embrace it with open arms and trust that the universe will lovingly guide you.

Menopause is a time of transition and growth.

Approach it with excitement.

Menopause is a time of renewal and empowerment.

Celebrate it.

Take one more deep breath in,

Exhale fully and completely.

During this time of celebration and transformation,

May you be happy,

May you be healthy,

And may you be well.
