This is a short body scan meditation designed to help writers moderate the intensity of their writing sessions by connecting to their body’s current state, their to-do list, and the topics they wish to write about. This meditation is taught during my courses on writing about trauma. It’s a part of the P.A.C.E. method I teach to help writers work sustainably on emotionally challenging projects. However, it is not a substitute for treatment by a qualified mental health professional.
