It's easy to get distracted in this world.
Social media telling us how to dress,
How to feel,
What to like,
What to buy.
We go into a store for one thing and walk out with 20.
We are always being enticed.
Always being updated.
And now more than ever it's almost impossible to escape it.
Unless we make an effort.
Unless we try and decide to shut it out.
And today we are going to do just that.
To quiet so we can feel what's true and authentic.
To remember what's sacred to us.
Not what we are told to do or conditioned to do,
But what feels genuinely right.
So let's settle in.
Take a nice long slow inhale in and let that go.
And let's start here.
In this moment.
To let it all go.
And to do that all we need to do is breathe.
Our breath.
This simple free act of letting go with each exhale.
It's a gift.
So connect with your breath now.
Follow it in and out and get quiet.
If you haven't already you may want to close your eyes and really go deep in this moment of letting go.
Submerging yourself in this moment.
Feeling into what you need.
Getting quiet and still.
Slowing down all the noise.
Allowing the chaos that's consuming us all the time,
The busyness in our minds to fade out as the sound of your breath gets louder.
Becomes more clear and pronounced as you focus on it.
We're going to really connect with our breath here.
Allow ourself to let it flow in and out.
So to begin expel all of the air out of your nose and breathe in for one two three four hold release one two three four now in for five one two three four five hold release one two three four five now in for six one two three four five six hold feeling your heartbeat here and release one two three four five six now just breathe finding a rhythm that feels slow and steady and deliberate be patient with yourself and your mind knowing that thoughts will come likely those you may not want to come in but now it's okay your beautiful mind is used to moving just take a moment to be here and give yourself permission to let it go reconnect with your breath as you breathe in and out silently repeat i let go i let go i let go feel into that and think of all of the things you want to let go of and with your exhale release them give yourself grace as you are working so hard celebrate the fact that you are here now taking this time for you we often think things need to be big or a grand gesture to be sacred but the truth is we don't need a celebration a milestone or an event to make our lives feel important to feel sacred it begins with a breath each breath that we take is sacred it is our life force so take one in right now and relish in the fact that you are alive take another breath in and set an intention on how you want this week to go how you want to feel how you want to make it sacred how you want to live your life with this intention this act alone declaring how you want to feel makes your day makes your life sacred it's the simple act of putting your needs first of allowing yourself to dream and to know that you are important enough to prioritize yourself breathe that in think now of all the ways you can turn everyday life into something special take a moment here to play it out see the mundane becoming magic simply with your intention shifting intention matters so how you perceive something is how it can be think of all the ways that you can make your day sacred right now take a nice long slow inhale in here and let it go we can make each moment of our life special we can put intention behind it when we wake up and we breathe in that can feel sacred stretching your arms up and moving your body make it sacred saying hello and brightening someone's day feel into that it matters when you sit down to work put feeling behind it intention this is your life this is your moment to make an impact to make a difference when you embrace a friend know that that love is being felt it is important when we walk each step deliberate look around notice things around you feel into it when you laugh feel the laugh when you cry embrace the tears when you feel a breeze on your skin allow it to warm you to glide around you and notice it witness a rainbow hear the laughter kiss a loved one sitting standing just looking out a window all of those things can really add up to making your day monumental we can look at our life and turn these moments we take for granted into beautiful experiences by just noticing by recognizing that each moment of our day is precious and we get to live it and we get to choose it our days can become cinematic masterpieces that we create and when we slow down with our breath and we tap into our heartbeat and we hear and we touch and we smell and we see everything around us coming to life we can witness it and we can make it sacred our ability to choose our ability to change our ability to move and shift to evolve all of those things all of those things that we often just ignore or take for granted or forget about or just naturally do remember they matter and we have those abilities so we can live the life we want the life we dream of so keep it all sacred because your life matters this day this moment it matters each second in your life has a purpose so breathe into that and smile knowing that each day you get to wake up set your intention and live and embrace it so now take another nice long slow inhale in and let that go still smiling to yourself when you're ready you can open your eyes and have a beautiful day thank you for meditating with me
