Today we will be expressing gratitude for the little things in life,

Those day-to-day gifts that often go unnoticed.

So begin now by adopting your favourite meditating posture and link into your breathing.

Become aware of the movement of your body as you breathe in and out.

Become aware of how each breath takes you deeper and deeper down,

Deeper and deeper down.

Calming the mind and becoming as comfortable as possible.

Observing the breath is a great way to calm the energy.

So take your time with your breathing,

Move your awareness from your breath back to your body now,

Feeling the support beneath you.

Now think about the room or the space that you're currently in,

How does it feel to be here?

What is this place like?

Begin to take note of the little things around you,

Things that you might perhaps take for granted as you go about your busy day.

Think of the room as a shelter,

A haven,

Keeping you safe from the outside elements,

Keeping you well and protected and comfortable.

Feel the air on your skin and note what it feels like,

Warm or cold,

Appreciate the temperature of the air that surrounds you,

Note the sounds in the room,

Perhaps there's a ticking clock or the hum of a fan or the murmur of voices in the distance.

And rather than thinking of these sounds as distracting,

Appreciate them as part of your environment,

As natural noises just occurring in the background.

Think of each sound as an opportunity to explore your environment and to become more mindful of all of the moving parts that exist here.

Just listen,

Tune in,

Be present,

Breathe deeply now and become aware of what you can smell.

Go deep to uncover aromas that you may not even realize exist here.

Inhale deeply through the nose as you pick up on the subtleties.

Perhaps you smell the wood flooring,

Curtains or walls,

Perhaps you tune into plants or soil or you may note external aromas drifting in through the window.

Just breathe,

Explore and appreciate this moment of calm and gentle mindfulness.

Now begin to extend your awareness to the outside,

The outer limits of your immediate environment.

Think about your entire home and everything within it.

Bring to mind the things that you see every day,

Those things that help your life run more smoothly.

Alarm clocks,

Refrigerators,

Dishwashers,

Closets,

Clothes,

So many incredible things.

See yourself going through a normal day but moving more slowly through it,

More mindfully.

Take your time getting dressed,

Washing up,

Eating and working.

Imagine taking the time each day to express gratitude for all of these incredible modern conveniences.

Try not to dwell on the haves and have-nots,

Simply appreciate every aspect of your daily experience.

Continue to breathe deeply,

Setting an intention to move more mindfully throughout each and every day starting now.

Extending your awareness even further now.

Think of the world outside,

Think of the blue sky above,

The sun,

The trees that offer shade,

The soil and grass beneath your feet.

Think of the seasons,

Autumn with its deep rich colors and fallen leaves.

Picture the perfect winter day complete with a warm cup of tea or coffee and a comforting fireplace.

Breathe in the dewy freshness of spring,

Watching the flowers bloom as the sun returns to the earth.

Think of the slow lazy days of summer,

Soaking up the sunlight,

Enjoying the ripe fruits and a cool refreshing drink.

Continue to express appreciation for the changing of the seasons and the gift that each season brings.

It's easy to find gratitude for everything that runs smoothly in our lives,

But how about the bumps in the road?

We can be thankful for these little life lessons too,

The spilled milk,

The flat tire,

The endless grocery line,

Each little errand or minor annoyance that peppers our days.

Let's show gratitude for them.

Every misfortune offers us a chance to slow down,

The chance to live in the present moment and focus our attention on matters at hand.

Imagine navigating these bumps in the road with grace and ease,

Just going with the flow,

Keeping a cool calm head and adopting a come what may attitude.

Imagine how much happier and healthier life would be.

Take a deep breath in now,

Pulling the air deeply into the body and slowly letting go of the breath as you release all tension.

Another deep inhale and slow exhale now.

Releasing expectation.

Once again,

Slow your breathing.

Let go of anything that may prevent you from tapping into gratitude.

Let any blockages dissolve.

Let them melt away as you breathe in clarity and relaxation.

Let them melt away as you breathe in clarity and relaxation.

Engage with the peaceful steady rhythm of your breath as you continue to invite gratitude into your energy.

Commit to turning all of your taking for granted's into gratitude's.

Mindfully walking through your life and make an effort to note more,

To feel more,

To see more.

Continue deep breathing,

Deeply integrating this idea,

The wonderful sense of gratitude.

Noting everything in your life with gratitude.

That's it.

No longer taking things for granted.

Being aware of how blessed and truly lucky you are.

How safe and provided for you are.

Breathe that knowledge in.

Know that at a core level.

It's okay to be grateful.

When we feel gratitude,

We change our vibration.

We resonate differently.

And we encourage others around us to do the same.

Now become aware of your body once again.

Tuning into and feeling the support beneath you.

The air against your skin.

Hearing the sounds around you.

As you slowly allow your eyes to open and reorient yourself within your surroundings.

Taking everything in.

This is your life.

You are here.

And as you continue your day or night,

Remember to appreciate everything with gratitude.

Thankfulness.

Gladness.

Just breathing gratitude into your life.

Thank you.
