Namaste and thank you for joining me.
In today's Yoga Nidra practice,
We will be exploring the Vijnamaya Kosha,
The Wisdom Sheet.
Beyond the activity of the thinking mind lies a deeper intelligence,
A quiet inner knowing that sees clearly.
Discerns wisely and responds with compassion.
This practice invites you to rest in that place of effortless awareness,
Allowing insight to arise naturally without striving or analysis.
So let's get ready for Yoga Nidra.
Preferably lie down in the shavasana position with your back on the floor or the back on your yoga mat or the back on whichever surface it's resting on.
Body straight from head to toe,
Legs slightly apart,
Arms a little away from the body,
The palms of the hands turned upward.
If you are comfortable,
You could also do this practice sitting down.
Making sure that your back is upright.
Your palms,
Your hands are resting on your knees with your palms facing upward.
If you need to adjust anything,
Your body,
Your clothes,
Your positions,
Do so now until you are completely comfortable.
Close your eyes and keep them closed until the end of the practice.
Take a deep breath in.
And as you breathe out,
Feel the cares and the worries of the day flow out of you.
In the Yoga Nidra practice,
You are going to develop feelings of relaxation in the body.
We do not need to make any movements or deliberately try to relax any muscles.
We only need to develop the feeling of relaxation.
Like the feeling you have just before sleep.
We will not try to intellectualize or analyze any instructions as this will interfere with the mental relaxation.
Simply follow the voice with total attention and feeling.
Allow yourself to become calm and steady.
Calm and steady.
Concentrate on the body and become aware of the importance of complete stillness.
Become aware of your body from the top of your head.
To the tips of your toes.
And mentally repeat the mantra.
Aum.
Complete Stillness.
Complete awareness of the whole body.
Once again.
Aum Become aware of the fact that you are going to practice Yoga Nidra.
We now begin the practice of Yoga Nidra.
This is the moment you make your resolve,
Your sankalpa,
Your intention.
A simple resolve.
State your dissolve three times with complete feeling and emphasis.
The resolve you make during Yoga Nidra is bound to come true in your life.
We now begin the rotation of consciousness.
As I name the part of the body,
Repeat the part.
In your mind.
And at the same time become aware of that part of the body.
Without concentrating too intensely.
We start with the right side.
Become aware of your right hand.

The whole body together.
The whole body on the surface that it is resting on.
See a body lying perfectly still on the surface that it is resting on.
Visualize this image in your mind.
Become aware of your breath.
Feel the flow of your breath in and out of your lungs.
Do not try to change the rhythm.
The breathing is natural.
Automatic.
There's no effort.
Concentrate your awareness on the movement of your navel area.
The navel is rising with each breath.
With each breath it expands and contracts.
Concentrate on this movement.
And shift your attention to the chest.
Your chest is rising and falling slightly with each and every breath.
Become aware of this.
And now move your awareness to the Truth.
Become aware of your breath moving in and out of the throat.
Become aware of this.
And now bring your awareness inward.
Past the body of muscles and bones.
Past the rhythm of breath and energy.
Move into the quiet space behind your thoughts.
Here begins the Vijnanamaya Kosha.
The Field of Wisdom and Discernment Imagine yourself standing before a serene mountain temple.
Ancient radiant and still.
Its walls are made of soft light.
Its doorway opens without effort.
You step inside.
And all sound falls away.
The air itself feels alive with quiet intelligence.
In the center of the temple,
There is a pool of perfectly still water.
As you gaze into it.
You see the deflection of your own face.
Peaceful.
Luminous.
Without story,
Without label.
Each breath sends gentle ripples across the surface.
And then returns to perfect stillness.
This still water is your inner awareness.
The wisdom that reflects truth exactly as it is.
Now above this pool,
Notice a small flame of golden light suspended in the air.
A small flame of golden light suspended in the air.
It flickers softly,
Steady and calm.
This is the light of discernment,
The flame that illuminates without burning.
With each inhale,
The flame grows brighter.
With each exhale,
Its warmth spreads through your heart and mind.
It touches every corner of your awareness revealing clarity.
Where confusion once lived.
Compassion.
Where judgment once was.
Allow this flame to rest in the space between your eyebrows.
The center of intuition.
Sense it guiding your perception,
Helping you see clearly.
Without effort.
And now feel yourself as spacious awareness.
Washed.
Luminous Witnessing.
Thoughts may drift through like clouds.
But you remain the clear sky behind them.
You do not chase thoughts or push them away.
You simply know.
You are the witness.
Silent.
Steady.
Wise.
In this place every answer is quiet.
If the truth feels gentle.
And every breath.
Gary's Understanding.
Rest here.
In the luminous stillness of your own knowing.
Whisper inwardly,
Letting each phrase settle into your being.
I am guided by inner wisdom.
I see with gladity and compassion.
I trust the quiet voice within.
Rest in the radiance of these words.
And now is the time to repeat your resolve,
Your sankalpa,
Your intention.
Repeat the same resolve that you made at the beginning of the practice.
Do not change it.
Repeat your dissolved three times with full awareness and feeling.
And relax all efforts.
Draw your mind outside.
Become aware of your breathing.
Become aware of your natural breath.
Your body is lying totally relaxed.
And you are breathing quietly and slowly.
Become aware of your body from the top of your head to the tips of your toes.
And say mentally in your mind.
Aum you One more time.
Aum you Once again.
Aum Become aware of the surface that you are resting on.
Visualize the room around you.
Become aware of your surroundings.
Start moving your body.
Stretching yourself.
Take your time.
There is no need to hurry.
And when you are sure that you are wide awake.
Sit up slowly and open your eyes.
The practice of Yoga Nidra is now complete.
Hadi Yom Tadzat.
As this practice comes to an end.
Take a moment to notice how you feel.
There is nothing to achieve and nothing to hold on to.
Simply allow the experience to settle naturally within you.
Each time you return to Yoga Nidra,
You cultivate a deeper relationship with yourself.
One layer at a time,
One breath at a time.
Carry this sense of awareness gently into the rest of your day,
Trusting that the wisdom you've touched here will continue to unfold in its own time.
Namaste.
