Namaste.
This is a Yoga Nidra journey through the seven chakras.
A journey from earth to sky,
From grounding to awareness.
From the body to the spaciousness that holds all experience.
As we move through each chakra,
You may notice sensations,
Emotions,
Memories,
Images,
Or perhaps nothing at all.
All experiences are welcome.
There is nowhere you need to get to.
No special state you need to reach.
Simply allow yourself to be guided.
From one energy center to the next,
Resting in awareness as the journey unfolds.
For the next little while.
Let the body rest.
Let the mind soften.
And allow yourself to be carried inward.
And now?
Let's begin.
We will now go into the Yoga Nidra practice.
Lie down comfortably.
Allow the body to rest fully.
Your feet gently falling open.
Your arm slightly away from the body.
And your palms facing upward.
If you are doing this practice sitting down,
Make sure your spine is erect.
Your head is well supported.
And you can rest your hands on your knees or your thighs with your palms facing upwards.
If you need to make any final adjustments,
Do so now.
And then allow stillness.
Gently close the eyes.
Feel the surface beneath you.
The support beneath the body.
The simple fact that you do not need to hold yourself right now.
Feel the weight of the heels.
The calves.
The Ties The hips.
The bag.
The Shoulders The arms.
The head.
The whole body being received.
Let the breath come and go naturally.
No need to deepen it.
No need to shape it.
Nothing to control.
Nothing to perform.
Become aware of sounds around you.
Nearby sounds Distant Sound Do not search for sound.
Simply allow hearing.
And now begin to let awareness move inward.
Become aware of the natural breath.
The body breathing by itself.
You are not breathing the body.
The body is breathing.
Feel the gentle rise and fall.
Lies.
And fall.
The practice of Yoga Nidra now begins.
Now is the time to state your Sankalpa.
Your heartfelt intention.
Not as a demand.
Not as pressure.
But as a quiet direction of the heart.
A simple sentence,
Clear?
Natural.
Alive.
Repeat your Sankalpa mentally three times with complete awareness and feeling.
Bring awareness to the base of the spine.
Mooladhara Tadhoot Chakra.
Bring awareness to the base of the spine,
The root of the body.
The Pelvic Flow.
Feel the contact between the body and the earth beneath you.
The hips,
The Legs The knees.
The gobs.
The feet.
The right foot.
The left foot.
Both feet together.
Feel the density of the body.
The Heaviness.
The grounding.
You may begin to notice a deep red tone.
Not something to force.
Perhaps simply a suggestion.
Ascends.
The bread.
Moves downward.
With each exhale,
A Quiet Settling Feel the breath move downward.
Eject Sail!
A quiet settling.
As though the body is slowly sinking into support.
Nothing to hold.
Nothing to defend.
Silently repeat the mantra.
LUM LUM LAM Let the sound fade naturally.
Imagine yourself resting on solid earth.
A washed open landscape.
The ground steady.
Beneath you.
The Earth does not ask you to prove yourself.
It simply supports.
Remain here for a while.
Grounded.
Held supported.
Now gently allow awareness to rise to the lower abdomen.
The Pelvic Bowl.
The space just below the navel.
SWADHISTHANA DASEGDAL JAGADA Become aware of the inner space of the pelvis.
The right side.
The Left Side The Centre.
Allow a soft orange tone to appear.
Fluid.
Worm.
Gentle.
Not fixed.
NOT RIGID.
Moving slowly.
Let the breath become fluid.
Like water.
Breathing in,
Flow.
Breathing out,
Release.
Breathing in,
Flow.
Breathing out.
The leaves.
If emotion arises.
I love it.
If nothing arises,
Allow that to.
There is nothing you need to create.
Silently repeat the mantra.
One.
You WOMB you Bye.
Imagine a calm body of water.
Not still.
Not Turbulent.
Simply moving naturally.
Moonlight reflected on water.
Gentle movement.
Soft Rhythm.
Notice how water does not cling to shape.
It responds.
It moves.
It allows.
Let awareness become fluid.
No resistance.
No grasping.
Just movement within awareness.
Bring awareness now to the Naval Center.
Manipura The Solar Plexus Become aware of the front of the abdomen.
The spine behind it.
The inner center of the body.
As you bring your awareness to the navel center.
A yellow or golden tone may begin to appear.
Not with I.
Not intense.
Steady.
Feel warmth in this space.
A quiet inner fire.
As you breathe in,
Let the breath move into the abdomen.
Breathing in.
.
.
A subtle warmth.
Breathing Out Stability Breathing in.
.
.
WONG Breathing Out stability.
And silently repeat the mantra.
Love.
Imagine a small,
Steady flame.
Unaffected by movement around it.
Not flickering wildly.
Not diminishing.
A flame that does not need to prove its existence.
It simply burns.
Feel the difference between force and strength.
Nothing needs to be pushed.
Nothing needs to be controlled.
Simply remain aware of this steady center.
The body breathing.
The flame remaining.
Now bring awareness to the centre of the chest.
Anahata.
The Heart Chakra.
Center of the chest slightly behind the breastbone.
Bring your awareness to the right side of the chest.
Left side of the chest.
Centre of the chest.
The front of the chest.
The back of the chest.
The centre of the chest.
As you bring your awareness to the heart center.
Let a soft green tone appear.
Like light beneath leaves.
As you breathe in,
Let the breath move across the chest.
Not upward but outward.
Let your breath move across the chest.
As though space is gently widening.
And silently repeat.
YUM home.
YUM!
You Yum.
Imagine the chest becoming less like a container.
And more like a field.
Open spacious Alive.
A gentle breeze moving across an open landscape.
Nothing held.
Nothing resisted.
If emotion arises,
Allow it room.
If numbness arises,
Allow that too.
The heart does not need to become anything.
Just remain aware of the spaciousness.
Breathing in space.
Breathing out,
Ease.
Bring awareness now to the truth.
To Visuddha,
The Truth Chakra.
The hollow at the base of the neck.
The inner channel behind it.
Bring awareness to your jaw.
Your neck.
Your shoulders.
The Truth.
And let a soft blue tone appear here.
Lie.
Spacious like open sky.
Let the breath become lighter here.
Let the breath become more spacious,
Almost as though space itself is breathing.
Silently the beat.
Aum you Aum Om.
Imagine standing beneath a washed open sky.
Nothing pressing inward.
Nothing needing expression.
Nothing needing suppression.
Just openness.
Feel the truth,
Soften.
The jaw softened.
The Tongue.
Soften Awareness Spacious.
Open unforced.
Now bring awareness to the space between the eyebrows.
Agnya The Third Eye Chakra.
Bring awareness to the space between the eyebrows.
Then slightly deeper.
Toward the center of the head.
As you rest your awareness there.
A deep indigo tone may appeal.
Or perhaps only a sense of depth.
Breath becomes subtle.
Awareness becomes primary.
And silently repeat.
Well.
You Imagine a washed open inner sky.
DAW Quiet.
Infinite.
Thoughts may arise.
And pause.
Images may arise and dissolve.
No need to follow.
No need to resist.
Awareness simply observes.
Rest as the witness.
And now bring awareness to the crown of the head.
And then gently a little above the head.
Sahasrada.
Dakkadon Chakkadon.
As you rest your awareness to that area slightly above the head.
A soft white or violet light may appear.
Or perhaps no image at all.
Only openness.
No effort.
No Concentration All mantras dissolve here.
There is no mantra.
Only awareness resting in itself.
Nothing missing.
Nothing to become.
Only stillness.
Now sense the whole body.
The base of the spine.
Lower abdomen.
Navel heart drowot Blow.
G'dawn.
The end.
ORANGE yellow green Blue.
Indigo.
Why?
Not separate.
Not stacked.
One Continuous Field.
The colors gently blending like light.
Dissolving into Light.
And then allow even the colors to fade.
Only awareness remains.
The whole body breathing.
The whole body resting.
The whole body included.
Return now to your Sankalpa.
Your heartfelt intention.
The same one that you made at the beginning of the practice.
Repeat it mentally three times with awareness.
With feeling.
And become aware of the natural breath.
Become aware of the whole body.
Become aware of the surface beneath you.
The space around you.
Start to deepen the breath slightly.
Start to make small movements in the fingers.
In the toes.
If you wish you may stretch yourself.
And when you are ready.
Gently begin to the turn.
Slowly opening the eyes.
The practice of Yoga Nidra is now complete.
Hadi om tat sat.
