Let's begin our day with a little bit of happy talk and meditation in this short yet impactful podcast designed to infuse a little bit of positivity into each moment of every day.
Let's get in the flow.
So I'm going to jump right in.
Stress sucks.
There.
I've said it all now,
Right?
So stress is so ridiculous and it makes me so frustrated,
Right?
It amazes me.
I mean,
You know,
In our society,
It's like it's there.
It's just there always.
Just waiting.
Just waiting for us to access it,
Right?
So you know,
And I'm so tired.
Oh my gosh.
I'm so stressed this last like week or so different things going on.
And you know what?
I'm done.
I'm just done,
Right?
So this is what I thought today.
We're going to talk about.
I'm just going to talk about a few ways that I like to sort of helps me with my stress,
Right?
And then I'm going to lead us on a guided meditation.
And honestly,
I'll give you guys like a three minute heads up because I'm going to only talk for a couple of minutes because this guided meditation,
I channeled it as I was writing it because I wrote it all out and it was like channeled and it is to me,
It's just absolutely beautiful.
So giving you a couple of minutes heads up because I'm going to just jump right into it in just a minute.
So,
So there you go.
Okay.
So ways to like deal with our stress,
Like in a sort of,
In a sort of secular yet spiritual way,
Right?
We meditate meditation obviously,
Right?
And what I love and I know I'm,
I'm a teacher of meditation,
So of course I love it and it's a passion of mine,
But you know,
There's so many ways to do it,
You know,
And it's personalized.
It's very personal.
You can do it however you want.
You can chant,
You can sit in the stillness,
You can sit with some music on,
You can do guided meditations,
Which I'm going to do in a minute.
You know,
I mean there's just so many ways and it is the biggest stress reducer.
So obviously,
And you know,
So there you go.
Um,
Okay.
So yoga,
If you're like into yoga,
You know,
The forward fold,
That is a massive stress reducer.
That's like my biggest thing.
I'll do the sun salutation and then I'll do the forward fold and it's like,
I don't want to say instantaneous,
But it just,
Whoa,
It's like boom,
It goes down.
Right?
So then the other things,
The two,
The two other things that I do that are not related to any of this,
You guys are going to laugh when you hear me say this,
But I'm telling you right now,
When you're stressed,
There's usually something going on.
Okay?
So my friends tell me that I do this too much,
But if you say you're sorry to somebody for something that you did wrong to me,
That just,
I know,
I know my friends are always like,
You say you're sorry all the time,
But you know what?
I'm not saying I'm sorry because I did anything wrong necessarily.
I'm kind of saying I'm sorry.
Not all the time,
But you know,
I'm kind of saying I'm sorry because of the fact that I'm sorry that you're going through whatever it is you're going through.
I'm not taking responsibility for it.
I'm just saying I understand what you're going through,
That sort of thing,
You know?
So I know that that's kind of an interesting one,
But you know.
And then lastly,
I've been kind of stuck to my computer these,
This last like week or so really like literally all day for a week.
It's been crazy,
Right?
And one of the things that really helped me was stepping away,
Right?
And just going for a quick walk around the block.
Just that's all you have to do.
It's like,
Like,
You know,
David G talks about pattern interrupt and we've talked about this a million times before,
Right?
But just getting yourself out of that frame of mind for a few minutes and then you can come back and,
And there's something about it just sort of calms,
Calms us down,
Right?
So we are going to do a guided meditation right now.
So I,
Like I said before,
I channeled this as I was writing.
It was like automatic writing.
It was,
It was amazing.
I love doing that.
Love doing that.
So I hope you guys enjoy this because it's,
For me it was,
It was like bliss.
Yeah,
So,
Okay,
So let's get ourselves comfortable.
However that looks for you,
Because you know,
I am the,
The,
The queen of do what feels right,
Right?
So get yourself comfortable,
Close your eyes and we are getting into that blissful place.
So let's take a nice deep breath in and release.
Very good.
Let's do that one more time just to release any of the stress or anything going on.
So one more time,
Breathe in and release.
So you are in your house or wherever you live or are listening to this and we are going to go for a walk.
Step outside your back door into the yard and you keep walking.
The sky is blue.
The trees are swaying gently in the breeze.
You smell the flowers as you walk through the yard.
It's a brilliant,
Beautifully bright day,
But not too much.
It's that perfect kind of day.
You have the most comfortable shoes on unless you're barefoot.
And it's just that completely comfortable walk.
You come to a meadow and just gaze at how beautiful it is.
You walk through the gate and you see these sweet rabbits and squirrels and butterflies all going about their day.
And then you spot as you're walking the most amazing shade tree that you've ever seen.
It's almost magical.
So you begin to walk over and sit down and lean against its beautiful trunk.
The curve of the tree fits your back absolutely perfectly.
And you sink into its protection.
You feel safe,
At ease,
And so tranquil.
You realize that this is a great time to meditate.
So you close your eyes and allow your mind to disregard any thoughts.
Now is your time to just be.
Know where to go.
Nothing that needs your attention.
Life is peaceful.
And now we sit quietly in this splendidness just for a minute or two.
You answer the call to action.
Refreshed.
We know that it's time to go back,
Knowing that you can always return to this beautiful meadow and feel the incredible serenity.
You walk back through the meadow and through the gate,
Down the path,
To your yard.
And finally you step back into your door,
Fully understanding the true meaning of peace.
Namaste.
Whenever you feel comfortable you can open your eyes.
I hope everybody enjoyed that today.
The meadow meditation is one of my favorite places to go because it's always beautiful there,
Right?
So thank you so much for joining today everybody.
Love to you all.
Namaste.
