
Social Media... High Vibe Or Low Vibe?

Let's begin our day with a little bit of happy talk and meditation in this short yet impactful podcast designed to infuse a little bit of positivity into each moment of every day.
Let's get in the flow.
I feel like I can assume.
It's never good to assume,
However.
I feel like I can assume that everyone here is at least on some form of social media.
There's so many places to go to meet people,
Blah,
Blah,
Blah.
Insight timer,
Facebook,
Instagram,
TikTok.
There's so many places.
I mean so many,
So many places,
Right?
But I have to be honest.
You guys are going to find this story actually kind of funny.
I do what I consider to be like maybe a medium amount,
Forgive the pun,
A medium amount of stuff on social media.
Just a moderate amount.
I'm not on all the time,
But I'm on there,
You know,
Kind of thing.
However,
This past month or so,
I have gotten sucked in to the void,
Sucked into the reels and the videos on TikTok.
Okay?
And here's the thing.
It started out innocently enough.
It truly did.
Okay,
I'll just go ahead and say this.
You guys are going to think I'm weird,
But it's okay.
I look at me,
I'm tearing up just thinking about this video.
The videos of the goats,
The videos of the goats talking whenever the guy in the barn is like,
Nah,
And all the goats go nah at the same time.
It just,
Oh my gosh,
It just,
It puts me in a different mood.
Where I've said it,
I've come clean.
I love goats.
Right.
And who doesn't love,
You know,
Babies doing whatever they're doing,
Right?
Who doesn't love that stuff?
So I started watching this stuff and then all of a sudden the clips from the show Friends started coming up.
I love to laugh clearly.
I love to laugh and I love to be in a happy place.
Right?
So I love all that.
Right?
And don't even get me started about like the paranormal clips.
Right?
All the paranormal things like people walking through and then the water will turn on or like a ball will come out of the closet.
Who knows if they're real,
But you know,
I just,
I love all of that stuff.
Right?
But then all of a sudden,
Okay,
So I was watching this stuff and it was really raising my vibration and I was laughing.
You know,
I needed something to break that.
Because I have a lot going on.
I needed something to break that,
You know.
All of a sudden I started seeing mean people videos and then those sort of started to be missing persons videos.
And then all of a sudden I started seeing like 911 calls of like domestic violence stuff.
And I'm like,
Where is this coming?
Why am I,
You know,
And I don't sit on it.
You know,
You can go forward or whatever.
And I slide upside up and you know,
Some of them I would watch just because I didn't,
You know,
Whatever.
But it's not my main objective.
Right?
You know,
For all that.
I have no idea how that all happened.
I have no idea.
It made no sense.
But I got sucked in.
I got sucked in so bad for me in such a way that I would waste like 30 minute shots of like just sitting there swipe,
Swipe,
You know.
What a waste of time.
So you must know where I'm kind of going with this.
So I have to take myself off of this.
Wean myself off of the videos because it's ridiculous for me.
Everybody has their thing.
I get that you can do what you want.
You know,
But for me,
I feel like I can't watch the negative stuff.
And it's a shame because I like laughing,
You know,
So I can't watch any of it because whatever their algorithm thing or whatever,
I must have been too long on a mean on a mean girls video of some sort.
Right?
So you know,
I've been thinking a lot about all of this lately in the last several days.
I've been thinking about it and then all the stuff going on with,
You know,
Social media and the news,
Blah,
Blah,
Blah,
All of that stuff.
And interestingly,
As you may know,
I've been talking a lot about how to keep your vibration high,
How to raise yourself up on an ongoing basis.
And this is the perfect example of what I've been teaching about.
You know,
It's about recognizing when there's something negative that creeps into your consciousness.
Like,
I'm sure that a lot of people don't exactly even recognize that they're seeing these types of videos.
They just want to get to the laughing goats,
You know,
Like I was.
And then all of a sudden you start seeing all this stuff.
Well,
It was creeping in all this negativity.
And I'm like,
That's,
I just can't do that.
I just can't do that.
Well,
Here's where I'm drawing my line.
And again,
Everybody's different.
I'm not making anybody wrong for being on social media.
Not at all.
That's not how I roll.
But for me,
I'm just cutting it off.
I'm just,
I'm just got to cut it off.
And I'm going to meditate on it,
Which is what we're going to do today.
But here's the thing.
You know your line.
Everybody has a line.
You know,
I have friends who watch zero news,
Right?
I watch news for short periods of time.
And that is my sort of where I where I can be,
You know,
That's where I can roll because I want to know what's going on.
I've always had a thing for wanting to know what's going on right in the world.
When there's a big disaster going on.
I'm addicted to the to the news channel and then watching know what's going on.
But you know,
I,
I've learned because what I have been teaching myself for many,
Many years and to you guys,
Recognizing those triggers,
Recognizing when you get sucked in.
That's how you that's how you find it.
That's how you you fix it sort of.
So interesting,
Right?
So today what we're going to do is we're going to meditate on this.
So let's get ourselves comfortable.
And this is a really cool.
This is a really cool mantra that we're going to that we're going to do that you can use over and over and over again to help to purify your own mind.
Okay.
The mantra is OM AH HUM.
And this is the purification of our mind,
Our speech,
And our heart.
How appropriate don't you think?
So as we say OM AH HUM that is our purification of it all.
So you can say that to yourself all day long if you want,
Right?
As any of these mantras,
Right?
So let's get ourselves comfy.
Close your eyes.
And let's take a deep breath in through your nose really slow.
And release it gently.
Perfect.
What are you grateful for today?
What are you so thankful for in your life today?
So many things to be thankful for.
Beautiful.
Very good.
So much to be thankful for.
So our mantra,
I will repeat it again.
OM AH HUM.

The purification of our mind,
Our speech,
And our hearts.
And don't we need that right now?
So as we sit in the stillness for just those few short minutes,
