Let's begin our day with a little bit of happy talk and meditation in this short,
Yet impactful podcast designed to infuse a little bit of positivity into each moment of every day.
Let's get in the flow.
You know how sometimes you have to learn a lesson over and over and over and over again before you actually get it?
You know how that goes?
That is so me.
And that's been me lately.
Again and again.
Ugh.
I don't,
You know,
Admittedly,
I don't exactly take the best care of myself.
You know,
If I have an ache or a pain,
Usually I'll just pop a couple of Advil or something and just hopefully it'll take care of whatever it is,
Right?
That's kind of sadly how I roll mostly.
You know,
And I honestly,
I think that we're all guilty of that sometimes.
We get so caught up in just our life.
It's so time consuming to deal with it,
Whatever the physical ailment is,
Right?
And it's just so much less time consuming to blow it off.
Also you know,
And then there's something else that happens,
Let's just say,
And you kick yourself.
Like something more severe will come out of it.
Like you'll get an infection or you'll get the flu or something like that,
You know?
And you don't deal with it and then you get the flu so you kick yourself for not having dealt with it sooner.
That's kind of,
You know,
That's kind of how that rolls,
Right?
We need to take care of ourselves.
Whether that means going to the doctor or just laying low for a couple of days to let our bodies heal or whatever it is,
Right?
We need to like take care of ourselves.
And that is how we need to look at spiritual self-care as well.
You know how sometimes you think,
And you guys,
I don't know if I'm like the only one,
I know I'm not the only one because I've talked to people,
Right?
I'll say,
You know,
I'll meditate later after I do this one thing,
Right?
Or I got to finish this or,
Or,
Oh my gosh,
This is happening and that's happening.
I'll just wait.
Just wait.
Yeah,
That's always a good one,
Right?
Meditation does so much for us mentally and physically.
We don't even realize it until it's pretty bad most of the time,
Right?
I've mentioned this before,
But in case you didn't know,
We have between 60 and 80,
000 thoughts a day.
60 and 80,
000 thoughts a day.
That's a lot of thoughts to deal with.
Don't you think?
I can honestly say that since I have been meditating for about 22 years now,
I am more organized in my thoughts and possibly my husband could probably testify that I'm just a little bit more patient,
You know?
Yeah.
Every single time I go to the doctor and they take my blood pressure and they take my heart rate,
All of that stuff,
It's always low,
Always low.
One time the nurse,
The nurse even asked me if I was a runner,
Right?
A runner.
Sorry,
Not me.
I mean,
You guys don't really know me,
But you know,
It's like,
That's just,
I wish I was a runner.
No,
I'm not.
Not at all.
Kudos to the runners out there,
But I'm not,
Right?
But that's how low everything is.
So I always say,
I'm a meditation teacher and they're like,
Oh,
I don't know if that's good or not,
But you know.
But taking care of yourself spiritually sometimes is just ever so slight of something that you can do.
But it's important.
Even just starting to meditate for 10 minutes a day and then maybe slowly increasing it.
That can be life changing.
Spiritual self care,
Right?
And then there are other things that you can do for spiritual self care as well,
Right?
You can ground yourself.
Grounding yourself is so good for you.
It's kind of like tethering your energy to the earth's energy,
Right?
That's what grounding is.
And it's just,
It's absolutely beautiful,
Right?
And it gives you this boost of self,
Right?
And then there's Reiki or energy healing of some sort.
Even just sitting,
Like even if you don't have anything going on and just sitting in that energetic space to get some Reiki is unbelievable.
Absolutely unbelievable,
Right?
Or you could even,
Honestly,
You could just walk in nature.
Just taking a walk gets you out of that and into nature.
So it like clears the cobwebs,
Right?
And then lastly,
For this conversation,
You're going to laugh when I say this,
But if you're feeling kind of heavy or something's weird,
You can always take a shower or go in the pool,
You know,
Getting water all over yourself.
It's like,
It's not just,
It washes the dirt off,
But it washes that energy off,
Right?
I love that.
I love,
Love,
Love that.
It's all about spiritual self care.
And you,
If you take the time to take care of yourself,
That's why I shouldn't say that's when,
But that's part of how you can grow your own spirituality.
So that's what we are meditating on today,
Of course.
So let's get ourselves comfortable because we're going to do at least a couple of minutes.
We're going to do maybe even a little bit more.
So let's get ourselves comfortable whenever it feels right to you,
Close your eyes.
Let's take a nice deep breath in and release.
Perfect.
So let's start off our meditation time,
Asking ourselves just one simple question.
What are you grateful for today?
What is going great in your life?
What do you feel good about?
What are you thankful for?
It could just be if you're,
It could just be feeling one thing or it could be,
You could just name them off and list,
List,
List.
That's what I love about it.
It's highly personal.
Our affirmation today,
Our mantra that we're going to repeat over and over again is this.
My body and mind are healthy and strong.
My body and mind are healthy and strong.
My body and mind are healthy and strong.
And I will keep the time,
So let's just sit and relax and repeat the mantra.
My body and mind are healthy and strong.
And let's begin.
My body and mind are healthy and strong.
My body and mind are healthy and strong.
My body and mind are healthy and strong.
My body and mind are healthy and strong.
My body and mind are healthy and strong.
My body and mind are healthy and strong.
My body and mind are healthy and strong.
My body and mind are healthy and strong.
My body and mind are healthy and strong.
My body and mind are healthy and strong.
My body and mind are healthy and strong.
My body and mind are healthy and strong.
My body and mind are healthy and strong.
My body and mind are healthy and strong.
My body and mind are healthy and strong.
Let's start bringing our awareness back to our bodies.
Let's take a nice deep breath in,
Breathing in that healthy and strong release.
Perfect.
Whenever you feel comfortable,
You can open your eyes.
Namaste.
