Living a Spirit-Led Life.
What does that even mean?
I've heard so many people over the years ask me,
Why do you always say you live a Spirit-Led Life?
What exactly does that mean?
For me,
It's taken me many years actually at this point to really get good at the idea of living a Spirit-Led Life.
I have friends that know me,
And they already know that I'm really weird because I talk to dead people.
However,
The way I started to do it,
To really begin to understand the idea of living a Spirit-Led Life is stop and step back for just a minute.
Basically,
What that means to me is that if somebody says,
Do you want to go do this?
I'll either,
Like my gut,
Because it's all about your gut instincts,
So I'll go into my gut and I'll be like,
What am I saying?
What am I feeling?
What is my gut telling me?
I'll go with that.
That is kind of the key to the whole thing,
Is understanding your gut.
On bigger things,
I'll be like,
You know what,
Let me meditate on that.
And then I go in and I meditate just for a few minutes and just get a feeling and sit quietly because if you don't exactly quiet yourself,
Then if you're not in a space where you can listen to your gut and you can feel what your gut is telling you.
You know how sometimes you get butterflies in your stomach when you're nervous about something?
Or if you get that feeling in the pit of your stomach,
That gut instinct of like,
Oh,
I shouldn't be doing this,
You know,
Kind of thing.
That's your gut instinct.
Your intuition is always going to be correct.
So yeah,
So that's what we're talking about,
Right?
That's what today is about.
How to do that?
It's an interesting process.
Trusting,
How hard is it for you to trust?
I know so many people that are like,
Yeah,
Of course I trust.
It's hard.
And then they don't trust themselves.
You know what I mean?
So what happens with that?
We have to learn.
It takes time.
All of this stuff,
All of this spiritual work that we do for ourselves.
It takes work and it takes time.
I mean,
Because we can't,
It's really kind of difficult to,
I shouldn't say difficult,
But it's really kind of,
It's a process to learn to be with yourself and be quiet and be who you're supposed to be and listen.
Being present and being still.
That's kind of the whole thing for me.
Being still and listening.
Right?
So that is what we're meditating on today.
We're meditating on,
Let's still our minds with meditation and focus on our gut instinct and our intuition and start to learn to trust it.
I know that sounds kind of crazy.
Of course I live a spirit led life.
Of course I trust what spirit tells me.
Well,
It's the little things though too.
It's those little things.
It's those living a spirit led life for me.
I listen to the people in my head.
I shouldn't say the people,
But I listen to the,
You know,
What I'm hearing in my head and I trust it.
So no fear,
No fear.
When you trust or when you pay attention and you hear what your gut is telling you,
You feel what your gut is telling you,
Does it make,
Does it cause you fear?
See,
All these things come into play.
All these things come into play.
What is so beautiful about living a spirit led life is that once you really get into it and you start the process,
You know,
There's like this knowing of,
Okay.
I will never be led astray.
I will never be led astray if I trust what spirit is telling me.
Right?
Doesn't that take like pressure off?
I don't know.
To me,
It takes pressure off and people think I am nuts and I've had people laugh in my face about this,
Right?
Literally laugh in my face like you do what?
That's my process and it's how I feel the joy in my life is that I trust and it feels right.
You know,
It feels good.
It feels right.
So we're going to meditate on,
We're going to meditate on this today.
Basically what we're going to do is we're going to sit in the stillness and we are going to concentrate on our breath,
Okay?
And all the thoughts that come into our head are fine,
Right?
That's what happens.
All those crazy weird thoughts,
That's okay,
Right?
Basically you just want to be as quiet with yourself as you possibly can and trust the process.
I know I keep saying that,
But that's the thing.
It's trusting the process,
Right?
And when you have those thoughts,
I want you to consider something.
The stillness that happens,
This is going to blow your mind.
The stillness that happens is in between the thoughts.
We have 60 to 80,
000 thoughts a day,
So you can't really,
I mean stopping the thoughts really is difficult and it's really not going to happen,
But the magic in meditation,
The magic to it all is in between the thoughts.
I don't know.
When I first heard that,
That kind of blew my mind.
That's why I'm saying I love it.
I love it,
Right?
Okay,
So let's get ourselves comfortable because we're going to sit in the stillness and we're going to be quiet and we're going to allow whatever thoughts come into our mind and we're also going to allow the stillness in between the thoughts.
Okay.
All right,
So let's get yourself comfortable.
Oh yeah.
And let's take a nice close your eyes when you can.
When it feels right,
Close your eyes and let's take a nice,
Really slow,
Deep breath in.
So breathe in,
Filling up your lungs,
Holding it and breathe out.
Very good.
Instant relaxation when you take a long,
Slow,
Deep breath in like that,
Right?
Let's do that again.
Take a nice,
Long,
Slow,
Deep breath in.
Breathe in.
Feeling that breath all the way down to your belly and release it.
So today as we sit in the stillness,
Let's concentrate on our breath.
Breathing in and breathing out.
No mantra for today.
We're just concentrating on our breath.
And when those thoughts come in,
Just gently in your mind's eye,
Just push them to the side.
They'll be there when we're finished.
Perfect.
I will keep the time.
Let's begin.

Let's start bringing our awareness back to our bodies.
You can release the breath and go back to breathing completely normal.
