Good morning everybody.
How is everybody today?
Are we ready to get the day on?
Let's get in the flow.
In the flow of love,
In the flow of peace.
Right.
So what I wanted to talk about today was being good to yourself.
You know,
Tensions have been running really high lately,
Don't you think?
We've got the virus.
We've got quarantine.
We've got protests.
We've got riots.
We've got business closures,
Business reopenings,
And business closures again.
I mean,
There's so much life stuff to really consider and so many unknown things.
We've never dealt with this stuff before so we just don't exactly know how to handle it.
I feel like that the basis of the entire thing is fear.
The base of our entire way of being right now is fear.
Fear that we're gonna get the virus.
Fear of the riots.
Fear of our businesses closing and us losing everything.
Fear of losing your job.
Fear,
Fear,
Fear,
Fear,
Fear,
Fear.
Right,
Right.
And that's not good at all.
Right.
You know,
You fear for your own relationships.
Right.
There's so much to be nervous about,
You know.
And I feel like that at this point in this mad crazy world,
We need to be good to ourselves.
So what would it be like for us to do something good for ourselves?
You know,
With everything going on,
It's okay to think about ourselves.
Don't you think?
Don't you think that it's kind of okay for us to think about what's going on in our own life,
You know,
And think about us,
Ourselves.
It's crazy to think that the way that everything has been going on,
Right.
And it's okay to be scared,
Right,
Because that's a human emotion and that's who we are.
But I think in order to get past this fear,
I think we need to start to learn to do nice things for ourselves,
You know,
At least once in a while.
Be good to yourself.
Meditate.
Of course,
You know that's what I'm gonna say the first thing that,
Right,
That's gonna be the first thing I say to all of you guys,
Right,
Is let's meditate.
We need to take care of ourselves.
We need to take care of other people too.
That's not what I'm saying.
But let's consider taking care and doing something nice for ourselves.
So what is,
Here's the question,
What is one thing that you can do for yourself today that makes you feel good?
That makes you maybe step out of that place of fear just for a little while.
Actually,
And it's not even that the fear of the unknown and all that stuff,
It's it's like it's just like it's just that that place of it's okay.
Like we're all gonna be okay,
Right?
So what is one thing that you could do for yourself today?
What do you think?
Okay,
So we are going to meditate on this obviously because that's kind of where I always lead to,
Don't you think?
Okay,
So let's get ourselves,
Let's get ourselves comfortable and let your eyes float close and get yourself seated in a really comfortable position.
David G,
My meditation teacher,
Always says,
Comfort is queen.
And let's now take a nice long slow deep breath in.
Breathe in really really slow,
Filling up your lungs and your belly and release.
Great,
Very good.
Let's do that again.
Let's fill ourselves up with peace and then whenever we exhale,
Breathe out the stress,
Right?
So let's breathe in some peace and breathe out.
Breathe out that stress,
That anxiety,
That fear of the unknown.
Now as we get ready to sit with our mantra that I will tell you in a moment,
Let's start today out with three things that we are grateful for.
What are three things that you are grateful for?
It could be the outfit you're wearing,
How comfy your jammies are.
It could be that you experienced the most beautiful sunset last night.
It could be grateful for the health of your family.
And can you feel your emotions rising?
Start out in that place of the unknown and fear and anxiety and as we think of things that we are grateful for and things to be appreciative for in our life,
We can feel our emotions rising to a state of love.
Actually,
A state of love.
Our mantra today is one of inner peace.
Om Shanti.
Om is the sort of hymn of the universe and shanti in Sanskrit means peace.
So when we put that together,
It's peace for the universe,
Peace for ourselves.
And we need this.
Mercury is still retrograde for quite a while.
So much happening.
Om Shanti Om Shanti Om Shanti Om Shanti Om Shanti Now if you feel comfortable you can sing or say that out loud.
You can whisper it or you can say it to yourself in your own mind,
Whatever you feel comfortable.
The key is to continue to say it.
And if you feel your mind wandering that's absolutely fine.
Just bring yourself back to Om Shanti.
And I will keep the time.
And let's begin.
Om Shanti Om Shanti Oh Shanti Om Shanti Om Shanti Om Shanti Om Shanti Om Shanti Om Shanti Om Shanti Om Shanti Om Shanti Om Shanti Om Shanti Om Shanti Om Shanti Om Shanti Om Shanti Om Shanti Om Shanti,
Om Shanti,
Om Shanti!
Om Shanti Om Shanti Om Shanti Om Shanti Om Shanti Om Shanti Om Shanti Om Shanti Om Shanti Om Shanti Om Shanti Om Shanti Om Shanti Om Shanti Om Shanti Om Shanti Om Shanti Om Shanti Om Shanti Om Shanti Om Shanti Om Shanti Om Shanti Om Shanti Om Shanti Om Shanti Om Shanti Om Shanti Om Shanti Om Shanti Om Shanti Om Shanti Om Shanti Om Shanti Om Shanti Om Shanti Om Shanti Om Shanti Om Shanti Om Shanti Om Shanti Om Shanti Om Shanti Om Shanti Om Shanti Let's bring our awareness back to our bodies.
Take a nice long,
Slow deep breath in.
Throwing up your lungs and your whole body.
And breathe out.
Whenever you feel comfortable you can open your eyes.
Shanti everybody.
What a beautiful way to start our day,
Right?
Or end our day.
And know that throughout the rest of the day you can say this to yourself anytime when you feel like a little bit anxious or a little stressed.
Om Shanti And don't forget to do at least one nice thing for yourself today.
Right?
So until next time,
Namaste everybody and Shanti.
