Let's begin our day with a little bit of happy talk and meditation in this short yet impactful podcast designed to infuse a little bit of positivity into each moment of every day.

Let's get in the flow.

So with everything going on in the world,

Let's say,

You know,

Holidays here,

The planetary energy that's going on.

I mean,

We're in the middle of eclipse season,

Blah,

Blah,

Blah.

And all of that kind of stuff.

I think that now is such a great time to discuss grounding.

What it is and how to ground ourselves.

And I'm bringing this up because,

And I've talked about it before,

We've done these things before.

I have to tell you,

Sometimes we forget.

We forget to consider all of that,

Right?

So being spiritually grounded is when our spiritual energy and our physical energy are in balance.

It's as simple as that,

Right?

When you feel organized and calm and centered,

Centered,

Big word,

Right?

That is being grounded,

Right?

So when you are,

Let's just say ungrounded or not grounded,

I don't know what the proper English way to say that is.

You might feel a lack of focus and drained,

Right?

Or drained,

Right?

Or maybe even a little anxious along with that,

Which is a crazy feeling,

Right?

If you think that through,

You might feel like you're flighty or floaty.

I'll just put it in terms of that,

Right?

When I was new to this work many years ago,

I didn't know anything about any of this stuff,

Right?

So I would go to circles,

Development circles where mediums get together and we practice on each other so that we sort of hone your skills,

Blah,

Blah,

Blah.

As I was sitting there and as the energy would start to rise,

I would feel shaky,

Almost like restless leg syndrome where I had to move my leg.

I don't know if you guys have ever experienced that,

But you just have to move your leg because it's like you've got to release some of that energy,

Okay?

And then when I would be finished with the circle,

I would feel so incredibly drained,

Like totally,

Right?

So that is what a typical thing of being not grounded is,

Right?

Because it's not the easiest feeling in the world.

Now,

How do we fix this?

And that was sort of an extreme example.

You might even just simply feel a little drained or simply feel a little anxious,

Okay?

That was an extreme example.

So you might feel some of those sort of symptoms in a less sort of way,

Right?

So how do we fix this?

How do we ground ourselves?

Well,

There are actually lots of ways to ground yourself.

The main thing to do is to make contact with the earth,

Right?

That's sort of the main approach to grounding,

Okay?

Taking a walk in nature,

Okay?

That is a very simple way of becoming grounded,

Okay?

The best thing that you can do is to go barefoot in the grass,

Right?

Barefoot on the road,

Not concrete,

Right?

Barefoot on the dirt or on the grass.

Feel the energy,

Right?

So I want to tell you something because this might make it more real,

Right?

When you consider the energy in the universe,

Like the gravitational pull that all the planets center around the sun and so all of that energy coming off the planet,

You start to realize that this energy stuff is quite real because we are energy beings as well,

Right?

So if we're energy beings,

We're on the earth,

Which is giving the energy and we're spiritual beings,

Right?

We need to ground ourselves.

I hope that makes sense that way because to me,

When you start to realize that it's all science too,

That part of it at least is science-based.

So what we want to do is take,

Not take,

But appreciate and invite into our human,

Our physical being the earth's energy,

Okay?

My favorite thing to do,

And a lot of you don't have access to this,

But is to go to the beach barefoot in the sand and watching the waves come in and go out.

I mean,

There is nothing to me.

It's my way of grounding or my favorite way of grounding.

A lot of times I can't make it to the beach,

Right,

But it's just that way of connecting to mother earth,

Okay?

So then of course there's the grounding meditation,

Which we are going to do right now.

Yay.

Okay,

So let's get ourselves ready to meditate and this is going to be a little bit different than we normally do,

Okay?

I'm going to really,

If you want to meditate with this,

Let's get ourselves comfortable.

And today I want us to put our feet flat on the floor,

Okay?

So put your feet flat on the floor and put your hands on,

Rest your hands on your lap with your palms up,

Because what we want to do is feel the energy coming in,

Okay?

Coming in through our hands and into our bodies.

Let's just sit and feel this beautiful energy for just a moment.

Mother earth's energy.

Let's take a nice deep breath in and release.

Perfect.

Let's take one more nice beautiful,

Gentle,

Deep breath in and let that out.

Let's take a few moments and focus and imagine a gold cord coming out from the bottom of our feet and digging deep down into the earth.

Going deep down into the center of the earth.

As it goes further into the earth,

We begin to feel the anxiety and our stress dripping away.

And we allow ourselves to feel that beautiful energy from mother earth coming up from this gold cord and into our being.

Feeling that energy coming into our body,

Rising up,

Allowing us to feel present and centered.

As we feel ourselves being tethered to the earth's energy,

We imagine that energy coming into our hearts,

Feeling mother earth's energy,

Mixing with the universal energy from our crown chakra.

Feeling that energy coming in through our crown chakra,

That white,

Beautiful,

Loving universal energy.

And as we sit enjoying this beautiful,

Peaceful energy,

Let's repeat the following.

I am present.

I am centered.

I am energized.

I am present.

I am centered.

I am energized.

I am present.

I am centered.

I am energized.

I am centered.

I am centered.

I am centered.

Sitting by the beach,

Watching the waves go in and out,

We can feel the energy washing through our entire bodies and feeling the peace flowing through our entire being.

I am present.

I am centered.

I am energized.

I am centered.

Let's start to bring our awareness back to the chair we're sitting in,

Knowing that we can take this beautiful,

Centering energy with us all day long.
