Our meditation today could be called a body scan or a loving energy meditation We're going to send love and appreciation and gratitude to every part of our bodies Begin by getting in your favorite meditation position comfortable relaxed safe and warm And Let's begin by taking three long slow deep breaths in and out together first long slow deep breath in And release The second long slow deep breath in And release The third magical long slow deep breath in The third magical long slow deep breath in And release Check in with your whole body Notice if you're holding any tension If you're putting any pressure on some part of your body by the way you're sitting Notice how your hands are if they're palms down or palms up in your lap Set your intention to love and appreciate your body no matter what Begin by thinking of your feet What is there to love and appreciate about your feet No matter what they've taken you many many miles throughout your lifetime Remember a walk that was especially precious to you,

Maybe a walk on the beach with a loved one Maybe walking down the aisle at your wedding What can you think of that's beautiful and special about your feet Now bring your attention to your knees Your knees are a miracle They're shock absorbers They protect the joints of your legs Think of something special to say thank you to your knees for It's so easy to take your miraculous body for granted Think of what a miracle it is that your knees allow you to kneel on the floor to play with your child Or to say a heartfelt prayer Now think of your legs This is the strongest part of your body able to carry you everywhere that you want to go A miracle of bone and sinew and muscle and blood,

Trillions of cells all present to serve you How can you love and appreciate your miraculous legs today?

What beauty can you find?

Now bring your attention to your hips and your buttocks They're supporting you right now as you're sitting in meditation and giving attention to your life And your body and your vibration You can say thank you for that This is the part of your body where your reproductive organs are If you have children you can say thank you for that There are all kinds of miracles going on inside of you that keep your body functioning perfectly You don't have to know exactly what they are in order to be grateful and appreciative They send grace and love and light and appreciation to that part of your body To your hips and your lower belly Now bring your attention to your torso where your precious sacred heart is For the miracle of lungs and stomachs and intestines and all of the complex and miraculous functions of your beautiful human body Say thank you to your tender heart Express your wonder and awe and appreciation for your digestive system For the spine that keeps your body upright Now take a moment to think about your arms All of the wonderful things that your arms do for you each day Wrapping around the people that you love Driving your car Just imagine the miracle of shoulders and elbows and wrists All perfectly formed All here to serve you Send grace and gratitude to all parts of your arms And now your hands Your hands that are so special and capable of very fine,

Unique and precise actions Miracle of knuckles and fingernails What can you be grateful for that your hands do for you every day?

Your body loves you unconditionally Make it your intention to love your body back in the same way no matter what Now move your attention to your neck and your head Your beautiful miraculous neck that holds your head Your head that holds your brains And your eyes Your nose,

Your mouth Almost all of your senses are translated in this part of your body So much to be grateful for The beauty that your eyes see Your nose that lets you appreciate the smell of fresh flowers or Warns you when you smell smoke Your beautiful body is designed to protect you and to carry your soul through this human experience Think of your face and smile Your face allows you to communicate with the world even without words It's unique just like your whole body No one has a body exactly like yours Give it gratitude,

Give it appreciation,

Give it love Give it reverence and honor Let's end today's meditation by feeling the earth beneath you Feeling the air all around you Feeling your connection with spirit All made possible by this amazing body that allows you to survive on this planet Make this vow to your body I will love you,

I will honor you,

I will respect you every moment of every day from this point forward Let's end by taking three long slow deep breaths in together First long slow deep breath in And release The second long slow deep breath in And release And the third long slow deep breath in And release Namaste
